Scalable Routing Protocol for Ad Hoc Networks 总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6
In this paper we present a scalable routing protocol for ad hoc networks. The protocol is based on a geographic location management strategy that keeps the overhead of routing packets relatively small. Nodes are assigned home regions and all nodes within a home region know the approximate location of the registered nodes. As nodes travel, they send location update messages to their home regions and this information is used to route data packets. In this paper, we derive theoretical performance results for the protocol and prove that the control packet overhead scales linearly with node speed and as N

This paper describes the implementation of the recently introducedcolor set partitioning in hierarchical tree (CSPIHT)-based scheme for video coding. The intra- and interframe coding performance of a CSPIHT-based video coder (CVC) is compared against that of the H.263 at bit rates lower than 64 kbit/s. The CVC performs comparably or better than the H.263 at lower bit rates, whereas the H.263 performs better than the CVC at higher bit rates. We identify areas that hamper the performance of the CVC and propose an improved scheme that yields better performance in image and video coding in low bit-rate environments. 相似文献

A series of large scale MxCo3?xO4 (M=Co, Ni, Zn) nanoarray catalysts have been cost‐effectively integrated onto large commercial cordierite monolithic substrates to greatly enhance the catalyst utilization efficiency. The monolithically integrated spinel nanoarrays exhibit tunable catalytic performance (as revealed by spectroscopy characterization and parallel first‐principles calculations) toward low‐temperature CO and CH4 oxidation by selective cation occupancy and concentration, which lead to controlled adsorption–desorption behavior and surface defect population. This provides a feasible approach for scalable fabrication and rational manipulation of metal oxide nanoarray catalysts applicable at low temperatures for various catalytic reactions. 相似文献

视频压缩技术在采用预测技术、变换编码技术和可变长熵编码技术以减少冗余信息的同时,也降低了视频流的容错能力.传输信道中的差错,不仅严重损害了视频服务质量,甚至会使通信系统崩溃,因此,在有错信道上进行视频传输,差错复原视频编码技术就显得尤为重要.对差错复原视频编码技术进行了概括和总结,首先指出在视频传输过程中存在的由于传输错误而引发的比特流同步丢失及错误蔓延问题,然后研究了解决这些问题的差错复原视频编码方法,最后指出:可伸缩视频编码和多描述视频编码是差错复原视频编码的发展方向;多描述编码同多路径技术相结合,能显著提高压缩视频信号的错误恢复能力和传输信道的性能. 相似文献

A novel double-πequivalent circuit model for on-chip spiral inductors is presented.A hierarchical structure, similar to that of MOS models is introduced.This enables a strict partition of the geometry scaling in the global model and the model equations in the local model.The major parasitic effects,including the skin effect,the proximity effect,the inductive and capacitive loss in the substrate,and the distributed effect,are analytically calculated with geometric and process parameters in the local-level.As accurate values of the layout and process parameters are difficult to obtain,a set of model parameters is introduced to correct the errors caused by using these given inaccurate layout and process parameters at the local level.Scaling rules are defined to enable the formation of models that describe the behavior of the inductors of a variety of geometric dimensions.A series of asymmetric inductors with different geometries are fabricated on a standard 0.18-μm SiGe BiCMOS process with 100Ω/cm substrate resistivity to verify the proposed model.Excellent agreement has been obtained between the measured results and the proposed model over a wide frequency range. 相似文献
