Metal ion-induced H-aggregation of a water-soluble anionic dye Congo red (CR) in Langmuir–Blodgett (LB) film

Present communication reports the preparation of Langmuir monolayer of water-soluble anionic dye Congo red (CR) by allowing it to adsorb from the aqueous subphase onto the preformed Langmuir monolayer of anionic stearic acid using divalent metal cations Mg²⁺ as mediator. Isotherm and compressibility studies of SA-Mg-CR hybrid monolayer gave valuable information about the molecular organisation in the Langmuir monolayer. Absorption spectroscopic studies revealed the formation of H-aggregates in the hybrid Langmuir–Blodgett (LB) films fabricated at lower salt concentration in the subphase. Atomic Force Microscopic image gave visual evidence of distinct nanocrystalline domains in the LB monolayer film.     

pyMolDyn: Identification,structure, and properties of cavities/vacancies in condensed matter and molecules

pyMolDyn is an interactive viewer of atomic systems defined in a unit cell and is particularly useful for crystalline and amorphous materials. It identifies and visualizes cavities (vacancies, voids) in simulation cells corresponding to all seven 3D Bravais lattices, makes no assumptions about cavity shapes, allows for atoms of different size, and locates the cavity centers (the centers of the largest spheres not including an atom center). We define three types of cavity and develop a method based on the split and merge algorithm to calculate all three. The visualization of the cavities uses the marching cubes algorithm. The program allows one to calculate and export pair distribution functions (between atoms and/or cavities), as well as bonding and dihedral angles, cavity volumes and surface areas, and measures of cavity shapes, including asphericity, acylindricity, and relative shape anisotropy. The open source Python program is based on GR framework and GR3 routines and can be used to generate high resolution graphics and videos. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.     

西南山地煤矿区耕地土壤-农作物重金属富集及健康风险评价

为了解西南某典型山地煤矿区周边农田土壤、农作物重金属的富集情况及对当地人群健康的影响程度,采集矿区周边农田土壤样品和对应的农作物样品,测定重金属Cr、Mn、Zn、As、Pb的含量。运用Nemero指数法、潜在风险指数法对土壤重金属的污染程度进行评价;采用靶标危害系数法(THQ)评价农作物重金属对人体的健康风险。结果显示,Cr、Mn、Zn、As、Pb分别是背景值的1.81、1.90、2.89、1.30、0.86倍,处于轻度污染级别,轻微危害程度。农作物重金属Cr、Pb和As含量的超标情况较严重,Zn的含量超标相对较小。各农作物富集的重金属对人体的健康风险大小为：高粱>玉米>白菜>葱>辣椒。农作物重金属对儿童健康的危害均达到了慢性中毒;对成人健康的影响,高粱处于慢性中毒,其它农作物重金属处于产生较大影响的危害程度。农作物重金属与土壤重金属的相关性分析表明,农作物重金属的含量与土壤重金属全量并无线性关系;各重金属在农作物中的转移能力不同;Pb,As在农作物中的转移能力较大,而Cr相对较小。鉴于矿区重金属的富集情况,应尽快采取修复治理措施,为保证当地人群健康,建议当地居民不再食用和种植富集重金属严重的高粱、玉米农作物。     

Static droplet array for the synthesis of nonspherical microparticles

We reported a manually operated static droplet array (SDA)-based device for the synthesis of nonspherical microparticles with different shapes. The improved SDA structure and reversible bonding between poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) were used in the device for the large-scale synthesis and rapid extraction of nonspherical microparticles. To understand the device physics, the effects of flow rate, SDA well size, and shape on droplet generation performances were explored. The results indicated that droplet generation in SDA structures was insensitive to the flow rate, and monodisperse droplets were generated by the SDA-based device through manually pushing the syringe. Finally, we integrated four kinds of SDA structures in one device and successfully realized the synthesis and extraction of nonspherical microparticles with different shapes and materials. Our SDA-based device offers numerous advantages, such as simple manual operation, low equipment cost, controllable microparticle shapes and sizes, and large-scale production. Thus, it holds the potential to be used as a flexible tool for the production of nonspherical microparticles.     

二级物流服务供应链的契约协调机制研究

研究一个物流服务集成商和一个物流服务提供商所组成的二级物流服务供应链的系统协调问题。分别建立了集中控制模型、批发价格契约下的Stackelberg主从协调模型、收益共享契约下的协调模型,得到不同协调方法下的最优解所满足的条件。通过模型间的对比,证明了收益共享契约可使得该物流服务供应链达到整体最优的状态,相对于批发价格契约,实现了Pareto改进。最后,用数值试验的方式进一步验证了收益共享契约在协调物流服务供应链运作的有效性。     

Area integral functions for sectorial operators on L spaces

Area integral functions are introduced for sectorial operators on L^p-spaces. We establish the equivalence between the square and area integral functions for sectorial operators on L^p spaces. This follows that the results of Cowling, Doust, McIntosh, Yagi, and Le Merdy on H^infin functional calculus of sectorial operators on L^p-spaces hold true when the square functions are replaced by the area integral functions.

Generalized area operators on L^p（R^n）

We introduce the generalized area operators by using nonnegative measures defined on upper half-spaces R＋^n＋1. The characterization of the boundedness and compactness of the generalized area operator from LP（]Rn） to Lq（IRn） is investigated in terms of s-Carleson measures with 1 〈 p, q 〈 ＋∞. In the case of p = q = 1, the weak type estimate is also obtained.
