OFDM‐based cognitive radio systems are spectrally flexible and efficient, but they are vulnerable to intercarrier interference (ICI), especially in high mobility environments. High mobility of the terminal causes large Doppler frequency spread resulting in serious ICI. Such ICI severely degrades the system performance, which is ignored in the existing resource allocation of OFDM‐based cognitive radio systems. In this paper, an adaptive subcarrier bandwidth along with power allocation problem in OFDM‐based cognitive radio systems for high mobility applications is investigated. This adaptive subcarrier bandwidth method should choose the suitable subcarrier bandwidth not only to balance the tradeoff between ICI and intersymbol interference but also to be large enough to tolerate an amount of Doppler frequency spread but less than the coherence bandwidth. The power budget and interference to primary users caused by cognitive radio users are imposed for primary users' protection. With these constraints, a joint optimization algorithm of subcarrier bandwidth and power allocation is proposed to maximize the bandwidth efficiency of OFDM‐based cognitive radio systems in such conditions. Numerical simulation results show that the proposed algorithm could maximize the system bandwidth efficiency and balance this tradeoff while satisfying the constraints. 基于正交频分复用(OFDM)系统,提出了一种发射分集方案——比特交织空时频(BI—STF)分组编码。其基本思路是:应用子载波分群方法并选择合适的系统参数,将OFDM系统转化成分群OFDM(G-OFDM),对每个群分别进行空时频分组编码(GSTFBC);在编码比特被重组和映射成GSTF分组编码前进行合理的比特交织,并按一定的规则分配给各个单群子载波进行酉星座旋转(CR)预编码。随后讨论了该方案的频谱利用率和成对错误概率(PEP)。仿真结果表明,同其它编码方案相比,提出的方案能在频率选择性瑞利衰落信道下获得最大的空间分集和频率分集增益,且只有较低的解码复杂性。 相似文献

We have analyzed the downlink performance of a multiuser Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing based multiple access system for indoor wireless communications. The optimization problem for minimizing the total transmit power from a base station while satisfying the bit-rate and bit-error rate criterion of the various portable users in the system has been outlined. The analytical solution obtained cannot be realized in a simple manner and we present a realizable method for the combined allocation of subcarriers, modulation mode, and power to the signals transmitted to the different users. Simulation results are used to compare the performance of the analytical solution with that using the new method under various channel conditions. Performance comparisons between the new method and an OFDM-TDMA system clearly indicate the advantages of the new algorithm under most conditions. The correlation of the frequency-domain channel strengths among the various users is shown to have an influence on the performance of the new algorithm. 相似文献

We are implementing and investigating CORD, a 2.5 Gbit/s/λ WDM packet-switched network testbed. CORD features: (i) contention resolution optics (CRO), which consist of optical switches and delay lines to perform all-optical packet contention resolution; (ii) multichannel subcarrier multiplexed (MSCM) signaling to transmit an 80 Mbit/s control channel and 2.5 Gbit/s payload data on the same wavelength; (iii) networkwide distributed slot synchronization technique with maximum slot jitter of ± 6.5 ns; (iv) novel ultrafast signaling synchronization using delay-line phase alignment for data recovery within 4 bits; and (v) pilot-tone payload data synchronization for clock recovery within 16 ns.
