An alternate and a new interpretation is given for the event attributed to a magnetic monopole by Price and coworkers found
in an emulsion plastic sandwich stack flown from Sioux City, Iowa, USA on 18 September 1973. The electron pick-up and stripping
cross-sections of nuclei ofZ∼70–80 andv∼0.6–0.7c in Lexan polycarbonate are calculated using the formulae given by Nikolaev. It is shown that the corresponding mean free
paths are of the order of thickness (∼250μ) of Lexan plastic sheets used by them. In such a case asnapshot of these processes is believed to have been observed in plastic sheets. Monte-Carlo simulations of the event have been made
for three values of charges at the top of the main Lexan stack, namelyZ=83, 78 and 70 respectively. The event is thus interpreted as a cosmic ray nucleus ofZ=70–83 andv=0.6–0.7c losing and capturing electrons (mainly the latter) as it passes through the stack. The probability of the occurrence of such

The effect of strain on charge density wave (CDW) order in $\alpha$-U is investigated within the framework of relativistic density-functional theory. The energetical stability of $\alpha$-U with CDW distortion is enhanced by the tensile strain along $a$ and $b$ axes, which is similar to the case of negative pressure and normal. However, the tensile strain along $c$ axis suppresses the energetical stability of CDW phase. This abnormal effect could be understood from the emergence of a new one-dimensional atomic chain along $c$ axis in $\alpha$-U. Furthermore, this effect is supported by the calculations of Fermi surface and phonon mode, in which the topological objects and the dynamical instability show opposite behaviors between strains along $a$/$b$ and $c$ axes. 相似文献

以丙烷-空气扩散火焰为研究对象,联合激光诱导荧光与激光诱导炽光,在不同探测波长下,对火焰中多环芳烃(PAH)的二维分布进行测量,分析火焰中PAH荧光信号的分布特征。结果表明:在丙烷扩散火焰燃烧中,小环PAH逐渐变为大环PAH,随后形成碳烟;通过测量火焰不同位置处的荧光时间分辨信号发现,在相同的条件下,荧光波长越大,其对应的PAH环数越多,相对分子质量越大,荧光衰减时间越长;随着火焰高度位置升高,荧光信号的衰减时间受温度升高的影响呈下降趋势。 相似文献

A series of fluorene‐based oligomers with novel spiro‐annulated triarylamine structures, namely DFSTPA, TFSTPA, and TFSDTC, are synthesized by a Suzuki cross‐coupling reaction. The spiro‐configuration molecular structures lead to very high glass transition temperatures (197–253 °C) and weak intermolecular interactions, and consequently the structures retain good morphological stability and high fluorescence quantum efficiencies(0.69–0.98). This molecular design simultaneously solves the spectral stability problems and hole‐injection and transport issues for fluorene‐based blue‐light‐emitting materials. Simple double‐layer electroluminescence (EL) devices with a configuration of ITO/TFSTPA (device A) or TFSDTC (device B)/ TPBI/LiF/Al, where TFSTPA and TFSDTC serve as hole‐transporting blue‐light‐emitting materials, show a deep‐blue emission with a peak around 432 nm, and CIE coordinates of (0.17, 0.12) for TFSTPA and (0.16, 0.07) for TFSDTC, respectively, which are very close to the National Television System Committee (NTSC) standard for blue (0.15, 0.07). The maximum current efficiency/external quantum efficiencies are 1.63 cd A?1/1.6% for device A and 1.91 cd A?1/2.7% for device B, respectively. In addition, a device with the structure ITO/DFSTPA/Alq3/LiF/Al, where DFSTPA acts as both the hole‐injection and ‐transporting material, is shown to achieve a good performance, with a maximum luminance of 14 047 cd m?2, and a maximum current efficiency of 5.56 cd A?1. These values are significantly higher than those of devices based on commonly usedN,N′‐di(1‐naphthyl)‐N,N′‐diphenyl‐[1,1′‐biphenyl]‐4,4′‐diamine (NPB) as the hole‐transporting layer (11 738 cd m?2 and 3.97 cd A?1) under identical device conditions. 相似文献
