Infinite propagation speed of the Camassa-Holm equation

We use the inverse scattering transform to show that a solution of the Camassa-Holm equation is identically zero whenever it vanishes on two horizontal half-lines in the x-t space. In particular, a solution that has compact support at two different times vanishes everywhere, proving that the Camassa-Holm equation has infinite propagation speed.     

Asymptotic behavior of solutions for a class of predator-prey reaction-diffusion systems with time delays

The aim of this paper is to investigate the asymptotic behavior of solutions for a class of three-species predator-prey reaction-diffusion systems with time delays under homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. Some simple and easily verifiable conditions are given to the rate constants of the reaction functions to ensure the convergence of the time-dependent solution to a constant steady-state solution. The conditions for the convergence are independent of diffusion coefficients and time delays, and the conclusions are directly applicable to the corresponding parabolic-ordinary differential system and to the corresponding system without time delays.     

Asymptotic Behavior of Solutions to a Class of Systems of Delay Differential Equations

The authors investigate the asymptotic behavior of solutions to a class of systems of delay differential equations. It is shown that every bounded solution of such a class of systems tends to a constant vector as t→∞. Our results improve and extend some corresponding ones already known.     

Finite propagation speed and kernel estimates for Schrödinger operators

We point out finite propagation speed phenomena for discrete and continuous Schrödinger operators and discuss various types of kernel estimates from this point of view.

     

具有时滞的比率型三种群捕食模型的分支分析

本文研究了一类具有时滞的比率型三种群捕食模型.通过分析该模型的特征方程,证明了该模型在正平衡点的稳定性.通过选择时滞τ为分支参数,得到了当时滞τ通过一系列的临界值时,Hopf分支产生.应用中心流形和规范型理论,得到了关于确定Hopf分支特性的计算公式.最后进行数值模拟验证了我们所得结果的正确性.所得结果是对前人工作的补充.

讨论了企业投资系统的Lyapunov稳定性,得到了企业投资系统渐进稳定的充分条件和稳定的必要条件,并给出了企业投资系统的临界积累率的表达式,这个问题的研究对于促进我国经济高速、稳定持续增长具有重要的理论意义和现实指导价值.     

Convergence to a Single Wave in the Fisher-KPP Equation

The authors study the large time asymptotics of a solution of the Fisher-KPP reaction-diffusion equation,with an initial condition that is a compact perturbation of a step function.A well-known result of Bramson states that,in the reference frame moving as 2t-(3/2) log t+x∞,the solution of the equation converges as t-→ +o∞ to a translate of the traveling wave corresponding to the minimal speed c* =2.The constant x∞ depends on the initial condition u(0,x).The proof is elaborate,and based on probabilistic arguments.The purpose of this paper is to provide a simple proof based on PDE arguments.     

时滞离散网络模型的动力学分析与同步

复杂网络广泛存在于日常生活,首先,给出几类标准的网络模型;然后,利用稳定性控制方法设计并实现了具有时滞与非时滞耦合的复杂网络模型快速控制;最后,通过构造优化Lyapunov函数,讨论其模型的射影同步问题,得到了系统全局稳定的条件和有效的控制器,以实例数值验证其方法的可行性。     

Effects of awareness program and delay in the epidemic outbreak

In the present paper, an epidemic model has been proposed and analyzed to investigate the impact of awareness program and reporting delay in the epidemic outbreak. Awareness programs induce behavioral changes within the population, and divide the susceptible class into two subclasses, aware susceptible and unaware susceptible. The existence and the stability criteria of the equilibrium points are obtained in terms of the basic reproduction number. Considering time delay as the bifurcating parameter, the Hopf bifurcation analysis has been performed around the endemic equilibrium. The direction of the Hopf bifurcation and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions are investigated by using the normal form theory and central manifold theorem. Lot‐sizing policies for deterioration items under two‐level trade credit with partial trade credit to credit‐risk retailer and limited storage capacity

The main purpose of this article is to investigate the optimal wholesaler's replenishment decisions for deterioration items under two levels of the trade credit policy and two storage facilities in order to reflect the supply chain management situation within the economic order quantity framework. In this study, each of the following assumptions have been made: (1) The own warehouse with limited capacity always is not sufficient to store the order quantity, so that a rented warehouse is needed to store the excess units over the capacity of the own warehouse; (2) The wholesaler always obtains the partial trade credit, which is independent of the order quantity offered by the supplier, but the wholesaler offers the full trade credit to the retailer; (3) The wholesaler must take a loan to pay his or her supplier the partial payment immediately when the order is received and then pay off the loan with the entire revenue. Under these three conditions, the wholesaler can obtain the least costs. Furthermore, this study models the wholesaler's optimal replenishment decisions under the aforementioned conditions in the supply chain management. Two theorems are developed to efficiently determine the optimal replenishment decisions for the wholesaler. Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate the theorems that are proven in this study, and the sensitivity analysis with respect to the major parameters in this study is performed.
