Weighted cooperative routing for wireless mobile Ad-hoc network

A novel weighted cooperative routing algorithm (WCRA) is proposed in this article, which was on the basis of a weighted metric with maximal remaining energy (MRE) of the relays and the maximal received SNR (MRS) of the nodes. Moreover, a cooperative routing protocol was implemented on the basis of WCRA. Then simulation is done on network simulation (NS-2) platform to compare the performances of MRS, MRE and WCRA with that of noncooperative destination-sequenced destination-sequenced distance-vector (DSDV) protocol. The simulative results show that WCRA obtains a performance tradeoff between MRE and MRS in terms of delivery ratio and network lifetime, which can effectively improve the network lifetime at an acceptable loss of delivery ratio.     

Quality measure of color images based on properties ofvision psychology and color distortion in MPEG-21

In this article, a new way to evaluate the quality of color images is proposed, in which the properties of human vision psychology, objective fidelity, edge information, and color distortion will be combined through utilizing 3-D matrix transform. There exists color redundancy and structural similarity between three different frames of a color image, the definition of vision properties will be measured by 3-D submatrix integration transform (SIT), in which three color components are integrated into one model and color redundancy can be exploited fully. The simulation results show that the measure index is very effective and objective in accord with vision properties.

介绍了一种基于PIC24FJ64GA002和24位A/D转换器ADS1232的车辆轴载质量静态称量系统。该系统在车辆静态情况下称量其轴载质量、总质量。系统的工作原理为：A/D转换器ADS1232在PIC24FJ64GA002的控制下采集质量传感器输出的信号，并把转换后的数据传送到PIC24FJ64GA002进行相应的处理和存储：然后再把存储在PIC24FJ64GA002内部SRAM中的数据送到计算机进行显示、打印、存储等处理。系统可应用于大型地磅称量的场合，也可应用于高速公路收费站，用于检查过往的超载车辆。

The Effectiveness of Test in Controlling Quality Costs: A Conformability Analysis Based Approach

Test and inspection are an increasingly costly element of electronic system design and manufacture and so it is critical that the cost effectiveness of test and inspection are well understood. This paper presents techniques which may be used to assess test capability and hence the implied test quality costs of PCB level electronic circuits. The techniques presented are based on the electronic Conformability Analysis (eCA) approach which combines process capability indices and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis with a cost mapping procedure. It introduces a new measure of test capability based on the widely used process capability measure C _pk. This analysis allows the quality costs associated with design and manufacture induced faults to be estimated and the effectiveness of test strategies in reducing these costs to be determined. It allows the trade-off between quality costs and the component, manufacturing process and test costs to be explored. The technique has been applied to analogue & mixed signal, safety critical circuits from automotive systems.
