本文提出了一种基于自由空间耦合技术的新型光开关器件.该光开关是利用聚合物薄膜的电光效应,通过控制导模的耦合效率来进一步控制反射光强来实现光的通断,理论与实验表明:该器件具有响应速度快、消光比大、损耗小、稳定性高,与传统棱镜耦合方式的光开关器件相比其具有结构和制备工艺更加简单和成本低廉等诸多优点.  相似文献

The skin effect in the reversely switched dynistor (RSD) devices is investigated in this paper. Based on the plasma bipolar drift model of the RSD, the current density distributions on the chip are simulated with considering the skin effect. The results indicate that the current density on the border can be several hundred to a thousand A/cm2 higher than that in the center of the chip. The skin effect becomes more prominent as the voltage increases and the inductance decreases in the main circuit. The phenomenon that most of a certain group of chips break over on the border has proved the existence of the skin effect.  相似文献

We introduce a quantitative model to support the decision on the reliability level of a critical component during its design. We consider an OEM who is responsible for the availability of its systems in the field through service contracts. Upon a failure of a critical part in a system during the exploitation phase, the failed part is replaced by a ready-for-use part from a spare parts inventory. In an out-of-stock situation, a costly emergency procedure is applied. The reliability levels and spare parts inventory levels of the critical components are the two main factors that determine the downtime and corresponding costs of the systems. These two levels are decision variables in our model. We formulate the portions of Life Cycle Costs (LCC) which are affected by a component’s reliability and its spare parts inventory level. These costs consist of design costs, production costs, and maintenance and downtime costs in the exploitation phase. We conduct exact analysis and provide an efficient optimization algorithm. We provide managerial insights through a numerical experiment which is based on real-life data.  相似文献

A one‐dimensional steady‐state advection‐diffusion problem using summation‐by‐parts operators is investigated. For approximating the second derivative, a wide stencil is used, which simplifies implementation and stability proofs. However, it also introduces spurious, oscillating, modes for all mesh sizes. We prove that the size of the spurious modes are equal to the size of the truncation error for a stable approximation and hence disappears with the convergence rate. The theoretical results are verified with numerical experiments.  相似文献

Photo-affinity adsorbents (i.e., translucent matrices functionalized with ligands featuring light-controlled biorecognition) represent a futuristic technology for purifying labile biologics. In this study, a framework for prototyping photo-affinity adsorbents comprising azobenzene-cyclized peptides (ACPs) conjugated to translucent porous beads (ChemMatrix) is presented. This approach combines computational and experimental tools for designing ACPs and investigating their light-controlled isomerization kinetics and protein biorecognition. First, a modular design for tailoring ACP's conformation, facilitating sequencing, and streamlining the in silico modeling of cis/trans isomers and their differential protein binding is introduced. Then, a spectroscopic system for measuring the photo-isomerization kinetics of ACPs on ChemMatrix beads is reported; using this device, it is demonstrated that the isomerization at different light intensities is correlated to the cyclization geometry, specifically the energy difference of trans versus cis isomers as calculated in silico. Also, a microfluidic device for sorting ACP-ChemMatrix beads to select and validate photo-affinity ligands using Vascular Cell Adhesion Molecule 1 (VCAM-1) as target protein and cycloAZOB[GVHAKQHRN-K*]-G-ChemMatrix as model photo-affinity adsorbent is presented. The proposed ACPs exhibit rapid and defined light-controlled isomerization and biorecognition. Controlling the adsorption and release of VCAM-1 using light demonstrates the potential of photo-affinity adsorbents for targets whose biochemical liability poses challenges to its purification.  相似文献

A case study of applying decision-making trial and evaluating laboratory (DEMATEL) method in auto spare parts industry in Taiwan is illustrated. This method not only evaluates the importance of dimensions/criteria but also depicts the causal relations among those dimensions/criteria without requiring the assumption that the dimensions/criteria are mutually independent. By observing the causal diagrams, technological capability, service, and organization are the three critical dimensions. Moreover, percent of research and development of technological capability dimension, flexibility and responsiveness of service dimension, and geographical location of organization dimension are the three essential criteria among thirty criteria. For local auto parts makers, technological capability, service, and organization are net causes and have positive impacts on quality, production, price, and delivery in order to continuously improve the overall suppliers’ performance. Moreover, the suppliers need to pay much attention to percent of research and development, flexibility and responsiveness, and geographical location among thirty criteria to improve their performance.  相似文献
