一类偏微分积分方程的Legendre-Galerkin谱方法空间半离散的全局性

本文借助拉普拉斯变换,运用Legendre-Galerkin谱方法来研究一类线性偏积分微分方程的半离散问题,这类问题就出现在比如粘弹性模型中,我们得到了空间半离散的稳定性和收敛性结果。

I prove that in a tree in which the distance between any two endpoints is even, there is a maximum proper partial 0-1 coloring such that the edges colored by 0 form a maximum matching.     

多参数二次特征值问题重特征值的灵敏度分析

本文研究解析依赖于多参数的二次特征值问题重特征值的灵敏度分析,得到了重特征值的方向导数,证明了相应的特征向量矩阵和特征值平均值的解析性,给出了其一阶偏导数的表达式．然后以这些结论为基础,定义了二次特征值问题重特征值及其不变子空间的灵敏度,并给出了确定二次特征值问题所含矩阵中敏感元素的方法．

本文利用单整自回归移动平均模型,依据2000年1月至2004年12月中国纺织品服装出口额数据,对2005年和2006年中国纺织品服装出口走势进行预测分析。     

Numerical simulation of critical dependences for symmetric two-layered Josephson junctions

Partial critical dependences of the form current-magnetic field in a two-layered symmetric Josephson junction are modeled. A numerical experiment shows that, for the zero interaction coefficient between the layers of the junction, jumps of the critical currents corresponding to different distributions of the magnetic fluxes in the layers may appear on the critical curves. This fact allows a mathematical interpretation of the results of some recent experimental results for two-layered junctions as a consequence of discontinuities of partial critical curves.     

A construction of real weight functions for certain orthogonal polynomials in two variables

H.L. Krall and I.M. Sheffer considered the problem of classifying certain second-order partial differential equations having an algebraically complete, weak orthogonal bivariate polynomial system of solutions. Two of the equations that they considered are

ERM learning with unbounded sampling

The learning approach of empirical risk minimization (ERM) is taken for the regression problem in the least square framework. A standard assumption for the error analysis in the literature is the uniform boundedness of the output sampling process. In this paper we abandon this boundedness assumption and conduct error analysis for the ERM learning algorithm with unbounded sampling processes satisfying an increment condition for the moments of the output. The key novelty of our analysis is a covering number argument for estimating the sample error.     

Mathematical modelling and computational analysis of enzymatic degradation of xenobiotic polymers

We study the enzymatic degradation of xenobiotic polymers mathematically. As a mathematical model, we derive a linear second-order hyperbolic partial differential equation which governs the evolution of the weight distribution with respect to the molecular weight. Given an initial weight distribution and a final weight distribution, we formulate a problem to determine a degradation rate. We establish a necessary and sufficient condition for which the problem has a local solution. We also introduce a numerical technique based on our analysis, and present a numerical result that we obtained applying weight distributions before and after enzymatic degradation of polyvinyl alcohol.     

Nonlinear dynamic response of a simply-supported Kelvin-Voigt viscoelastic beam, additionally supported by a nonlinear spring

The free and forced vibrations of a Kelvin-Voigt viscoelastic beam, supported by a nonlinear spring are analytically investigated in this paper. The governing equations of motion along with the compatibility conditions are obtained employing Newton’s second law of motion and constitutive relations. The viscoelastic beam material is constituted by the Kelvin-Voigt rheological model, which is a two-parameter energy dissipation model. The method of multiple timescales, a perturbation technique, is employed which ultimately leads to approximate analytical expressions for vibration response, and provides better insight into how the system parameters influence the vibration response. Finally, the effect of system parameters on the linear and nonlinear natural frequencies, vibration responses and frequency-response curves of the system is characterized.     

Existence and Blowup of Solutions for Neutral Partial Integro-differential Equations with State-dependent Delay

In this paper, we study the existence and blowup of solutions for a neutral partial functional integro-differential equation with state-dependent delay in Banach space. The mild solutions are obtained by Sadovskii fixed point theorem under compactness condition for the resolvent operator, the theory of fractional power and α-norm are also used in the discussion since the nonlinear terms of the system involve spacial derivatives. The strong solutions are obtained under the lipschitz condition. In addition, based on the local existence result and a piecewise extended method, we achieve a blowup alternative result as well for the considered equation. Finally, an example is provided to illustrate the application of the obtained results.
