A new code construction algorithm for incoherent Multi-Dimensional Optical Code Division Multiple Access (MD-OCDMA) for asynchronous fiber optic communication is proposed. We refer multi-dimensionality to two-dimensional (2D) wavelength–time or space–time domains and three-dimensional (3D) space–wavelength–time domains. The application of the algorithm in constructing 2D multiple pulses per row codes and 3D multiple pulses per plane codes is given. The performance of the codes is discussed. In the applications discussed, this construction ensures a maximum crosscorrelation of 1 between any two codes. The proposed codes have complete 1D code allocation, which increases the cardinality. The performance of some codes in literature is compared with the proposed codes. The analyzed performance measure is bit error rate due to multiple access interference for different numbers of active users. The performance analysis shows that the proposed 2D construction offers very low bit error rate at lower spectral efficiency when compared with other 2D constructions. A comparison of the proposed 3D construction with existing 3D constructions shows lower bit error rate for equivalent code dimension. New integrated optic designs for the generation of OCDMA codes using titanium indiffused lithium niobate technology are explored, which can enable compact encoders and decoders for computer communications. 相似文献

孤立阿秒脉冲因可以跟踪和控制原子及分子内电子的运动过程而备受关注.本文从理论上开展了氦原子在3束飞秒脉冲激光组合场辐照下产生的高次谐波和阿秒脉冲辐射的研究.组合激光场由16 fs/1600 nm,15 fs/1100 nm和5.3 fs/800 nm的钛宝石脉冲构成.与前两束脉冲合成的双色场产生谐波谱相比,附加钛宝石脉冲的三色场产生的高次谐波发射谱呈现出高转换效率及宽带超连续特性,超连续谱范围覆盖从230—690次谐波,傅里叶变换后实现了128 as高强度孤立短脉冲的产生.该结果归因于合成的三色场呈现出高功率及少周期的中红外飞秒脉冲激光特性,可以有效控制原子电离以及复合发生在中红外飞秒脉冲的一个有效光学周期内. 相似文献

A novel phenomenon is reported for the first time that the generation of the newlongitudinal modes in amplifying multi-longitudinal mode laser in a dye amplifier.The newmodes are located on the violet side within the gain band of the amplifing medium.The phe-nomenon is explained by the theory of third-order nonlinear polarization in the case of four-wave resonances.The intensity of the new modes created are comparable with or even higherthan that of the original modes.The effect can be expected to serve as a new method for ex-tention of spectral tuning ranges of laser. 相似文献

In this work, the effect of the material microstructural interface between two materials (i.e., grain boundary in polycrystalls) is adopted into a thermodynamic-based higher order strain gradient plasticity framework. The developed grain boundary flow rule accounts for the energy storage at the grain boundary due to the dislocation pile up as well as energy dissipation caused by the dislocation transfer through the grain boundary. The theory is developed based on the decomposition of the thermodynamic conjugate forces into energetic and dissipative counterparts which provides the constitutive equations to have both energetic and dissipative gradient length scales for the grain and grain boundary. The numerical solution for the proposed framework is also presented here within the finite element context. The material parameters of the gradient framework are also calibrated using an extensive set of micro-scale experimental measurements of thin metal films over a wide range of size and temperature of the samples. 相似文献

The extended Poincaré–Lighthill–Kuo (PLK) method is applied to characterize head-on collisions of solitary waves in a coupled Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) system that has multiple modes supporting solitons. As a simple physically realizable system, we investigate two coupled electrical nonlinear transmission lines (NLTLs), and the proposed method successfully leads to the collision-induced phase shifts and the wave equation that governs the dynamics of the pulses generated by colliding solitary waves. 相似文献

We examine the profile of second harmonic generation (SHG) for GaAs/GaAlAs spherical quantum dots (QDs) of Woods-Saxon (WS) plus attractive inversely quadratic (AIQ) potential under the joint influence of additional factors (pressure and temperature) and structural parameters (strengths and radius). The energies and wave functions in GaAs/GaAlAs spherical QDs under WS-AIQ limiting potential are calculated using the parametric Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method. Depending on the calculated energies and corresponding wave functions, the SHG coefficient is examined by the iterative procedure in the density matrix method for this system. Finally, the calculated results display that a strong SHG coefficient response, and red shift or blue shift energy can be acquired by adjusting parameters. 相似文献

The study presents the characterization of a novel variable frequency (11–50 kHz) Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Jet (APPJ) source and comparison of the results with 13.56 MHz source, in terms of species generation and species temperature. The behavior of variable frequency APPJ at different frequency regimes was investigated using optical emission spectroscopy to understand the interaction with the ambient environment. The quantitative dependence of the radical generation on driving frequency and time of treatment was also analyzed by direct synthesis of H2O2 by plasma-water interaction. The plasma formed with a kHz driving frequency had a low treatment temperature, which was suitable for biological species, but the plasma generated with a 13.56 MHz driving frequency had a substantially higher radical density than the kHz plasma. As a result, the APPJ device's ability to tune the radical density and treatment temperature with a change in kHz frequency has been demonstrated. 相似文献

The characteristics of synchronous and phase difference bubble pairs in axisymmetric configuration near a boundary are investigated experimentally by the spark discharge method. Their destructive forces on nearby boundaries are measured using a polyvinylidene fluoride sensor. The bubble pair interactions and deformed features in the boundary vicinity are dissimilar to those in bulk water. Moreover, significant discrepancies between in-phase and out-of-phase pair interactions and their intensities of impulses are also witnessed. The interbubble distance (η), stand-off distance from the boundary (γ), and phase offset (τ) are crucial parameters affecting the shape evolutions and impulsive forces. From the qualitative analysis of sensor acquisition and high-speed imaging, it is observed that bubble periods are either prolonged or shorter than their corresponding isolated single cavity according to different parameters and arrangements. Additionally, the strongest impingements are produced by in-phase pairs. The impulses of phase difference bubble pairs are remarkably lower than in-phase pairs and even lower than a single bubble in some arrangements. 相似文献

We propose a novel device structure with a WO3/NiOx bilayer to improve the hole injection ability in QLEDs fabricated mainly by a solution-based process. First, we employed a spin-coated NiOx thin film as a hole injection layer (HIL) to replace Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) poly(styrenesulfonate) PEDOT:PSS which corrodes indium tin oxide (ITO) used as an anode in QLEDs. We showed a simply optimized annealing process, instead of a rather complicated process like doping, can improve the electrical conductivity of the NiOx thin film. The reason for the dependency of conductivity on the post-metallization annealing is because of the change of the total amount of Ni vacancy in the NiOx thin film as a function of annealing temperature: The electrical conductivity of the NiOx thin film annealed at 275 °C was the best in this work. Second, we inserted the WO3 thin film in between ITO electrode and NiOx HIL to form an ITO/WO3/NiOx structure which reduces the hole injection barrier to 0.35 eV, resulting in the excellent characteristic in view of charge balance. Finally, we measured the properties of QLEDs with the WO3/NiOx bilayer to check the effects of the proposed device structure and showed the substantial improvement of the electrical conductivity of NiOx, the luminance, and the current efficiency of the QLEDs. 相似文献
