In a data center network(DCN),load balancing is required when servers transfer data on the same path.This is necessary toavoid congestion.Load balancing is challenged by the dynamic transferral of demands and complex routing control.Because ofthe distributed nature of a traditional network,previous research on load balancing has mostly focused on improving the perfor-mance of the local network;thus,the load has not been optimally balanced across the entire network.In this paper,we propose anovel dynamic load-balancing algorithm for fat-tree.This algorithm avoids congestions to the great possible extent by searching fornon-conflicting paths in a centralized way.We implement the algorithm in the popular software-defined networking architectureand evaluate the algorithm’s performance on the Mininet platform.The results show that our algorithm has higher bisection band-width than the traditional equal-cost multi-path load-balancing algorithm and thus more effectively avoids congestion. 相似文献

Recently, content-centric networking (CCN) has become a hot research topic for the diffusion of contents over the Internet. Most existing works on CCN focus on the improvement of network resource utilization. Consequently, the energy consumption aspect of CCN is largely ignored. In this paper, we propose a distributed energyefficient in-network caching scheme for CCN, where each content router only needs locally available information to make caching decisions considering both caching energy consumption and transport energy consumption. We formulate the in-network caching problem as a non-cooperative game. Through rigorous mathematical analysis, we prove that pure strategy Nash equilibria exist in the proposed scheme, and it always has a strategy profile that implements the socially optimal configuration, even if the touters are self-interested in nature. Simulation results are presented to show that the distributed solution is competitive to the centralized scheme, and has superior performance compared to other popular caching schemes in CCN. In military and rescue applications of mobile ad hoc networks, all the nodes belong to the same authority; therefore, they are motivated to cooperate in order to support the basic functions of the network. In this paper, we consider the case when each node is its own authority and tries to maximize the benefits it gets from the network. More precisely, we assume that the nodes are not willing to forward packets for the benefit of other nodes. This problem may arise in civilian applications of mobile ad hoc networks. In order to stimulate the nodes for packet forwarding, we propose a simple mechanism based on a counter in each node. We study the behavior of the proposed mechanism analytically and by means of simulations, and detail the way in which it could be protected against misuse. 相似文献
