Iron-Cobalt-Silica nanocomposites were prepared in form of aerogels. X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and N2 physisorption at 77 K were used to investigate the structure, size and dispersion of the nanocrystals and the porous structure in the aerogels and in the final composites. The variation of the supercritical drying conditions gives rise to differences in the morphological features of the aerogels. These differences influence the size of the cobalt oxide nanoparticles in the aerogels. On the other hand, after the reduction treatment the average size of the alloy nanoparticles is the same in all the aerogel nanocomposites. The effect of reduction temperature on alloy formation and particle size is also discussed. 相似文献

UV curable epoxy acrylates were reinforced with two different organically modified montmorillonites (MMTs) and an unmodified MMT. Conversion and rate of polymerization was monitored by real time infrared spectroscopy (RTIR) and photo-DSC. Microstructures were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and optical clarity. Optical clarity of the films containing clay was quite good as only a slight decrease was observed. Physical properties of the reinforced films were examined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA), hardness and tensile testing. Enhancements in glass transition temperature (Tg), thermal stability and mechanical properties were observed. Summary In this study we report the synthesis and thermal characterization of multiwall carbon nanotubes containing zeolite based nanocomposites. Three different zeolites (LTA, FAU and MFI) were used in this study and it was observed that the morphologies of the synthesized nanocomposites were significantly different. For FAU zeolite nanocrystals with a few nm in diameter were nucleated on the nanotubes covering their surface, however, for LTA and MFI zeolites bulky crystals with nanotubes crossing them were observed by transmission electron microscopy. One of the most important results of our study was the generation of secondary mesoporosity in the zeolites after removing the carbon nanotubes. 相似文献

We have shown that CdSe/CdS nanocomposites can be obtained in a photocatalytic reaction with participation of CdS nanoparticles from sodium selenosulfate. The role of the aspect ratio of the layered silicate platelets on the mechanical and oxygen permeation properties of hydrogenated nitrile rubber (HNBR)/organophilic layered silicate nanocomposites was investigated. Montmorillonite (MMT) and fluorohectorite (FHT) bearing the same type of intercalant (i.e., octadecylamine; ODA), however, showing different aspect ratio was involved in this study. The dispersion of the layered silicates was assessed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), respectively. Increasing aspect ratio (MMT < FHT) resulted in higher stiffness under uniaxial tensile loading. The dispersion state (“secondary structure”) of the organophilic layered silicates reduced dramatically the oxygen permeability of the rubber matrix based on the labyrinth principle. The lowest oxygen permeability was measured for the HNBR/FHT-ODA films in which the layered silicates had the highest aspect ratio. By varying the FHT-ODA volume fraction in the latter compound the mechanical and permeation properties were measured and modelled. It was found that the modified Guth’s and Nielsen’s equations predicted accurately the mechanical and permeation responses, respectively. 相似文献
