Germanium doping in silica can be used as a method for nonlinearity enhancement.Properties of the enhanced nonlinearity in photonic crystal fiber(PCF)with a GeO2-doped core are investigated theoretically by using all-vector finite element method.Numerical result shows that the nonlinear coefficient of PCF is greatly enhanced with increasing doping concentration,furthermore,optimal radius of the doped region should be considered for the desired operating wavelength.  相似文献

Two vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers(VCSELs) are mutually coupled through a partially transparent mirror (PTM) placed in the pathway. The PTM plays the role of external mirror,which controls the feedback strength and coupling strength.We numerically simulate this system by establishing a visible SIMULINK model.The results demonstrate that the anticipation synchronization is achieved and it can tolerate some extent frequency detuning.Moreover,the system shows similar chaos-pass filtering effect on unidirectionally coupled system even both VCSELs are modulated.This system allows simultaneously bidirectional secure message transmission on public channels.  相似文献

We demonstrate a scalable architecture for coherent combining of pulsed fiber lasers.A new method for generating synchronous pulsed fiber lasers by direct phase modulation is proposed and investigated.It is shown that phase modulated mutually coupled laser array can be a steady synchronous pulsed fiber laser source.The synchronous pulsed fiber lasers are coherently combined with an invariable phase difference of π in adjacent lasers.Neither active phase control nor polarization control is taken in our experiment.  相似文献

Thermal analysis has been employed to measure changes of the heat capacity of ferromagnetic materials such as alloys in the region of the Curie temperature. Thermal response for these materials is usually small in this region. The necessary increase in sensitivity was achieved by applying temperature modulation. Results obtained by this technique including temperature-modulated differential thermal analysis simultaneously with A.C. thermomagnetometry are presented.  相似文献

A generalized structural model of Aurivillius-type compounds is presented using a 4D superspace group analysis where Aurivillius structures are considered as cation-deficient perovskites with the general formula AB1−xO3. Being essentially composition independent, the model is valid for any Aurivillius-type compounds where x is the only composition-dependent parameter. The atomic domains representing the atoms in superspace are described by means of crenel functions. For any composition, the conventional space groups can be easily derived from a unique superspace group. This work is supported by a TEM investigation where the continuously variable character of the diffraction diagram indicates that the various stacking sequences can be interpreted in terms of a structural modulation over a common average structure.  相似文献

This paper discusses a circuit of 12-b, 150 MHz Sample/s current steering DAC with hierarchical symmetrical switching sequences which will compensate gradient error. The circuit of 12-b DAC employs segmented architecture, the least significant bits (LSB's) steer a binary weighted array, while the most significant bits (MSB's) are thermometer decoded and steer a unary array. The measured differential nonlinearity and integral nonlinearity are ± 0.6 least significant bit (LSB) and ±0.9 LSB, respectively. The output spectrum of the DAC is −63 dB with an input frequency of 30 MHz at 150 MHz conversion rate. The circuit is fabricated in 0.5 μ μm, two-poly two-metal, 5.0 V, mixed-signal CMOS process and occupies 1.27 × 0.96 mm, when operating at 150 MHz Sample/s, it dissipates 91.6 mW from 5.0 V power supply which is much lower than those of [1]. He is currently a Postdoctoral fellow of Control Science and Engineering in the Faculty of Electrical and Information Engineering at the University of Hunan. Bo Wang received the M.Sc. degree from Southeast University, China, in 1998. He is currently as a senior analog design engineer working at Caretta Integrated Circuits, Shanghai, China. His interests are high-speed analog IC design and analog system modeling and analysis. Yaonan Wang received the M.Sc. degree from Hunan University, Hunan, China, in 1991 and the Ph.D. degree from Hunan University, Hunan, China, in 1994, all in Control Theory and Control Engineering. He is currently a Professor and dean of school of Electrical and Information Engineering at the University of Hunan. 提出了一种适用于低电源电压的新型高线性度采样开关.与传统低电压采样开关相比,这种新型采样开关不仅消除了MOS开关由于栅源电压随输入信号变化所引入的非线性,而且进一步消除了MOS开关由于阈值电压随输入信号变化引入的非线性.这是通过采用一个与采样MOS开关具有相同阈值电压的"复制"开关得以实现的.基于Chartered 0.35μm标准CMOS工艺,文中设计了一个此类新型MOS采样开关,在输入信号为0.2MHz正弦波,峰峰值为1.2V,采样时钟频率为2MHz时,无杂散动态范围达到111dB,比栅压自举开关提高了18dB;同时导通电阻的变化减小了90%.这种新型采样开关特别适用于低电压,高精度模数转换器.  相似文献

This paper describes a new Built-In-Self-Test(BIST) scheme for estimation of static non-linearity errors in segmented and binary weighted digital to analog converters (DACs). The BIST scheme comprises of a hierarchy of tests including tests for non-monotonicity, checks to detect if the DNL/INL errors exceed ±0.5 LSB and actual estimation of the DNL/INL. The BIST scheme has been experimentally verified on 10-bit segmented current steering DAC. The DAC, along with the additional circuits required for testing, was designed and fabricated using a 0.35 m process. Both simulation and experimental results are included in this paper. Errors estimated using the BIST scheme match well with measurements done on the fabricated device.  相似文献
