如今的移动通信网络是由多种制式及多个频段融合而成的多模网络,对于商用终端而言,多种难题交织在一起,其中待机时长是必须要解决的一个关键问题.为此,不同于传统增大电池容量的方法,采用降低待机功耗的策略:时域的时隙控制、频域的电流控制、睡眠和唤醒的电源门控制、低频时钟高频化,其中高频时钟校准低频时钟是降低睡眠态功耗的关键措施.这一系列方案的实施,使得终端在多模实际网络环境下的待机电流小于5 mA,终端的待机低功耗达到了有竞争力的商用水平.  相似文献

Localizing machine‐type communication (MTC) devices or sensors is becoming important because of the increasing popularity of machine‐to‐machine (M2M) communication networks for location‐based applications. These include such as health monitoring, rescue operations, vehicle tracking, and wildfire monitoring. Moreover, efficient localization approaches for sensor‐based MTC devices reduce the localization error and energy consumption of MTC devices. Because sensors are used as an integral part of M2M communication networks and have achieved popularity in underwater applications, research is being conducted on sensor localization in both underwater and terrestrial M2M networks. Major challenges in designing underwater localization techniques are the lack of good radio signal propagation in underwater, sensor mobility management, and ensuring network coverage in 3D underwater M2M networks. Similarly, predicting the mobility pattern of MTC devices, trading‐off energy consumption and location accuracy pose great design challenges for terrestrial localization techniques. This article presents a comprehensive survey on the current state‐of‐the‐art research on both terrestrial and underwater localization approaches for sensor‐based MTC devices. Energy efficient data collection in a delay‐bound application is a challenging issue for mobile sink–based wireless sensor networks. Many researchers have proposed the concept of rendezvous points (RPs) to design the path for the mobile sink. Rendezvous points are the locations in the network where the mobile sink halts and collects data from the nearby sensor nodes. However, the selection of RPs for the design of path has a significant impact on timely data collection from the network. In this paper, we propose an efficient algorithm for selection of the RPs for efficient design of mobile sink trajectory in delay‐bound applications of wireless sensor networks. The algorithm is based on a virtual path and minimum spanning tree and shown to maximize network lifetime. We perform extensive simulations on the proposed algorithm and compare results with the existing algorithms to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed algorithm of various performance metrics.  相似文献

Because of the low throughput and the high packet error rate in wireless communications, the network traffic often converges at access points (APs), which take a role of connecting wired and wireless communication interfaces, and APs are usually bottleneck points in wireless networks. In heterogeneous networks, various networks are around mobile devices. Furthermore, today's mobile devices have various wireless network capabilities. Thus, mobile devices should be able to understand network situations autonomously and use a wide range of network options in heterogeneous networks. However, since current mobile devices cannot know the connected AP's network condition, they continue to use the AP, which provides poor‐quality networks even though there are other available APs and networks nearby. To resolve the aforementioned problems, we propose MAPS , the low‐power AP monitoring scheme for handover decision triggering in heterogeneous networks. Using MAPS , a mobile device can trigger a handover decision properly through predicting the connected AP's network condition accurately without any cooperation from other devices. Furthermore, MAPS does not require any modification on existing network systems, and the mobile device can use MAPS with simple application installation. Through diverse simulations, actual experiments, and power consumption analysis, we validate that MAPS can detect the busy AP effectively and is suitable for mobile devices because of low power consumption.  相似文献

Mobile ad hoc network consists of a group of mobile nodes that can communicate with each other without any infrastructure. Clustering of the mobile nodes ensures efficient use of available bandwidth and high network throughput. Various clustering schemes are developed to improve the energy efficiency and lifetime of the network. However, there is an increase in the energy consumption with the increase in the number of clusters for forwarding data. This paper presents an energy‐efficient clustering approach for collaborative data forwarding in mobile ad hoc network. The cluster head (CH) is selected based on the processing capability of the nodes and link connection metrics. The CH receives the data from the server and forwards the data to the member nodes at a corresponding data rate of the nodes. Data offloading technique manages the data traffic in the network. The CH rejoining approach enables load balancing in the network. The proposed clustering approach achieves a significant reduction in the energy consumption and data traffic and improvement in the throughput rate through stable routing.  相似文献

This paper considers some aspects of a new TLC technique using a molten mobile phase which is solid under ambient conditions. The flow of high-boiling mobile phase at elevated temperature in thin-layer chromatography has been investigated and it is shown that the equation Zf2 = kt is not applicable to migration of the high boiling mobile phase front. The flow stability of the high-boiling mobile phase is noted. It is suggested on the basis of studies of concentration profiles of the solidified mobile phases by scanning photometers that the shape of the mobile phase concentration profile be taken into account in calculation of Rf Values.  相似文献

Summary Retention models for anionic analytes and mobile phase compounds in reversed-phase ion-pair chromatographic systems have been studied. The solid phase was a polystyrene-divinylbenzene copolymer. The analytes were mono- and divalent anions monitored by indirect detection technique. The mobile phase was highly alkaline and contained a detectable anion, sulfanilic acid.Expressions for the ion-pair retention of solutes and mobile phase components have been developed assuming Langmuir distribution of ion-pairs to a solid phase with one kind of binding site. The validity of the expressions and the origin of system peaks have been confirmed by determination of distribution constants using linear regression.  相似文献

Summary Using the concept of an effective concentration a method is proposed for predicting retention in liquid chromatography with multicomponent mobile phases based on experiments with corresponding binary ones.
