This paper is concerned with the existence of traveling wave fronts for delayed non-local diffusion systems without quasimonotonicity, which can not be answered by the known results. By using exponential order, upper-lower solutions and Schauder's fixed point theorem, we reduce the existence of monotone traveling wave fronts to the existence of upper-lower solutions without the requirement of monotonicity. To illustrate our results, we establish the existence of traveling wave fronts for two examples which are the delayed non-local diffusion version of the Nicholson's blowflies equation and the Belousov-Zhabotinskii model. These results imply that the traveling wave fronts of the delayed non-local diffusion systems without quasimonotonicity are persistent if the delay is small. 相似文献

The time-delayed Burgers equation is introduced and the improved tanh-function method is used to construct exact multiple-soliton and triangular periodic solutions. The characteristics of Z- cut LiNbO3 optical modulators with novel complex electrode are discussed by using the finite element method (FEM) and studied experimentally in this paper. The travelling wave electrode consists of upper and lower parts. It can easily realize phase velocity matching between microwave and optical wave and drastically reduce microwave electrode loss. An electrooptic modulator with larger than 100 GHz bandwidth and half wave voltage 6 V is designed, fabricated and measured. Vπ is 5.1 V and the attenuation coefficient a0 is 0.3 dB/(cm· GHz1/2 ). This paper considers the wave loads on large monolithic offshore structures. The second order wave force formulae developed by Rahman and Heaps, applicable to large circular cylinders in waves, are extended to evaluate the overturning moments on large circular cylinders. The theory is then applied to square section caissons in waves, to predict the wave loads on these structures. These calculations are performed using the exact form of the second order velocity potential, φ2, with arbitrary wave number, k2, and the approximate form of φ2, with twice the value of the wave number of the first order velocity potential. The second order analytical predictions are compared with available experimental data for various ranges of wave parameters for both circular and square caissons in large amplitude waves. 相似文献

This nonlocal model describes l2-gradient flow for a Helmholts free energy functional with general range interaction.
