A new variant of L-curve for Tikhonov regularization

In this paper we introduce a new variant of L-curve to estimate the Tikhonov regularization parameter for the regularization of discrete ill-posed problems. This method uses the solution norm versus the regularization parameter. The numerical efficiency of this new method is also discussed by considering some test problems.     

Numerical differentiation from a viewpoint of regularization theory

In this paper, we discuss the classical ill-posed problem of numerical differentiation, assuming that the smoothness of the function to be differentiated is unknown. Using recent results on adaptive regularization of general ill-posed problems, we propose new rules for the choice of the stepsize in the finite-difference methods, and for the regularization parameter choice in numerical differentiation regularized by the iterated Tikhonov method. These methods are shown to be effective for the differentiation of noisy functions, and the order-optimal convergence results for them are proved.

     

Convergence of Riemannian Manifolds and Laplace Operators, II

We study spectral convergence of compact Riemannian manifolds or more generally certain Dirichlet spaces, obtaining some compactness results on harmonic functions and harmonic maps. 灰色系统模型病态矩阵的双正则化算法

灰色系统模型矩阵会存在病态问题.为消除其病态性,基于病态矩阵的双正则化方法,建立了正则化灰色系统模型中灰参数求解的表达式,给出了其导出方式;提出了正则参数α的选择原则.从而避免了灰参数求解过程中矩阵的病态问题.数值试验分析说明,灰色系统模型的双正则化算法是正确和适用的.

Here we give a few n-dimensional extensions of a recent result of M. Abe concerning a Cousin I characterization of two-dimensional Stein manifolds.

We deal with complete hypersurfaces immersed in a semi-Riemannian warped product of the type eI×f M~n,where M~n is a connected n-dimensional oriented Riemannian manifold.When the fiber M~n is complete with sectional curvature-k≤K_M for some positive constant k,under appropriate restrictions on the norm of the gradient of the height function h,we proceed with our technique in order to guarantee that complete hypersurface immersed in a semi-Riemannian warped product is a slice.Our approach is based on the well known generalized maximum principle and another suitable maximum principle at the infinity due to Yau.     

加权流形上加权p-Laplace特征值问题的第一特征值下界估计

本文研究了加权流形上加权p-Laplacian特征值问题的第一特征值下界估计的问题.利用余面积公式、Cavalieri原理以及Federer-Fleming定理,获得了由Cheeger常数或等周常数确定的第一特征值的下界估计.     

Multigrid Solution of a Lavrentiev-Regularized State-Constrained Parabolic Control Problem

A mesh-independent, robust, and accurate multigrid scheme to solve a linear state-constrained parabolic optimal control problem is presented. We first consider a Lavrentiev regularization of the state-constrained optimization problem. Then, a multigrid scheme is designed for the numerical solution of the regularized optimality system. Central to this scheme is the construction of an iterative pointwise smoother which can be formulated as a local semismooth Newton iteration. Results of numerical experiments and theoretical two-grid local Fourier analysis estimates demonstrate that the proposed scheme is able to solve parabolic state-constrained optimality systems with textbook multigrid efficiency.
