The polarographic behavior and catalytic wave mechanism of medroprogesterone acetate (MPA) were studied in both aqueous and DMF media. In 0.2 mol/L acetic acid-sodium acetate (pH 5.0) buffer solution, the C=C bond of MPA first undergoes le, lH~ reduction to form protonated free radical HMPA(?), the further reduction of HMPA(?) in le, 1H~ process is simultaneous with the dimerization reaction between HMPA(?) and neutral molecular MPA. In DMF media containing 0.1 mol/L tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoborate (TBA·BF_4), the C=C bond of MPA shows two le, 1H~ reduction waves, which are ascribed to the reduction of MPA and free radical MPA, respectively. Here, no dimerization reaction occurs. These processes produce the reduction wave of MPA. In the presence of oxidant KIO_3, a polarographic catalytic wave of MPA is observable due to a chemical reaction between HMPA(?) or MPA(?) and KIO_3 as well as its intermediate species to regenerate MPA. Crystallization kinetics of Mg84Ni12.5Y3.5 amorphous ribbons produced by the melt-spinning method, was studied by DSC analysis and X-ray diffraction. The effect of heating rate (from 2 to 240 K min–1) was investigated in the temperature range from 298 to 673 K. The results showed that the crystallization process took place in two stages: a) crystallization of part of the amorphous matrix to an intermediate phase and hcp-Mg, and b) transformation of the intermediate phase and the remaining amorphous material to Mg2Ni+Mg (solid solution of Y in Mg). Increasing the heating rate from 2 to 240 K min–1 results in increases of the temperature difference between the two-step crystallization of the first stage transformation processes from 33 to 56 K and in increases of the temperature difference between the two-stage transformation from 62 to 97 K.This revised version was published online in November 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date. 相似文献

Modern thermal analysis, microcalorimetry and new emerging combined techniques which deliver calorimetric, microscopic and
spectroscopic data offer a powerful analytical battery for the study of pharmaceuticals. These techniques are very useful
in all steps of development of new drug products as well as methods for quality control in production. The characterization
of raw materials enables to understand the relationships between polymorphs, solvates and hydrates and to choose the proper
development of new drug products with very small amount of material in a very short time. Information on stability, purity
is valuable for new entities as well as for marketed drug substances from different suppliers. Excipients which vary from
single organic or inorganic entity to complexes matrixes or polymers need to be characterized and properly controlled. The
thermodynamic phase-diagrams are the basis of the studies of drug-excipients interactions. They are very useful for the development
of new delivery systems. A great number of new formulations need proper knowledge of the behaviour of the glass transition
temperature of the components. Semi-liquid systems, interactions in aqueous media are also successfully studied by these techniques.

Previously published papers have derived optimal policies forreplenishing stock when demand is declining according to somedeterministic law. Here we elaborate on that work, providinga full analysis, and extend the analysis back in time by consideringthe period of relatively level demand which is likely to havepreceded the period of decline in demand. We present an exact solution of a probabilistic cellular automaton for traffic with open boundary conditions, e.g., cars can enter and leave a part of a highway with certain probabilities. The model studied is the asymmetric exclusion process (ASEP) with simultaneous updating of all sites. It is equivalent to a special case (v
max=1) of the Nagel–Schreckenberg model for highway traffic, which has found many applications in real-time traffic simulations. The simultaneous updating induces additional strong short-range correlations compared to other updating schemes. The stationary state is written in terms of a matrix product solution. The corresponding algebra, which expresses a system-size recursion relation for the weights of the configurations, is quartic, in contrast to previous cases, in which the algebra is quadratic. We derive the phase diagram and compute various properties such as density profiles, two-point functions, and the fluctuations in the number of particles (cars) in the system. The current and the density profiles can be mapped onto the ASEP with other time-discrete updating procedures. Through use of this mapping, our results also give new results for these models. 相似文献

Optical phase conjugation is used to improve soliton communication system cascaded by distributed erbium-doped fibers. The results show that if its periodic length is chosen properly, optical phase conjugation can reduce the radiated energy and the time jitters, postpone the widening of soliton pulse width, also improve the stability of the soliton system. 相似文献
