In a vehicular ad‐hoc network (VANET), vehicles can play an essential role in monitoring areas of a smart city by transmitting data or multimedia content of environmental circumstances like disasters or road conditions. Multimedia content communication with quality of experience (QoE) guarantees is a challenging undertaking in an environment such as that of a VANET. Indeed, a VANET is characterized by numerous varying conditions, significantly impacting its topology, quality of communication channels, and paths with respect to bandwidth, loss, and delay. This paper introduces a link efficiency and quality of experience aware routing protocol (LEQRV) to improve video streaming provisioning in urban vehicular ad‐hoc networks. LEQRV uses an enhanced greedy forwarding‐based approach to create and maintain stable high quality routes for video streaming delivery. It improves the performance of the quality of experience by increasing the achieved QoE scores and reducing the forwarding end‐to‐end delay and frame loss.  相似文献

The word population is growing on a daily basis; consequently, the growth of commute and transport, developing efficient and intelligent transportation systems (ITS), has become one of the most popular requirements and the most significant attempts in modern urban areas containing large population. A key component of intelligent transportation systems is a vehicular ad hoc network. Devising internet‐based practical programs such as awareness of climatic conditions, geographical location, practical programs like on‐line payment services in the vehicular ad hoc network has led to safer driving, prevention of deadly accidents, transportation improvement, more welfare and convenience for passengers, and even offering more commercial opportunities. The special features of vehicular ad hoc network, such as intense activity, constantly‐changing topology, the vehicles' high speed, etc, will lead to challenges in gaining security. Therefore, providing vehicular ad hoc networks with security is of extreme importance in terms of users' anonymity, identification, and data privacy. In this paper, a security model is presented using a method based on evolutionary games. This method, in every vehicle, is applied as a node in the network while interacting with other vehicles; it aims at distinguishing some common attacks and defending against attackers. In this method, defending (honest) vehicles and attacking vehicles take part in an asymmetrical game; each vehicle aims at gaining the most utility and achieving its goals. The proposed method is simulated using various scenarios. The simulation results reveal that the proposed method is efficient and it reaches equilibrium and convergence at the end of the game in each scenario.  相似文献

The challenges of textiles that can generate and store energy simultaneously for wearable devices are to fabricate yarns that generate electrical energy when stretched, yarns that store this electrical energy, and textile geometries that facilitate these functions. To address these challenges, this research incorporates highly stretchable electrochemical yarn harvesters, where available mechanical strains are large and electrochemical energy storing yarns are achieved by weaving. The solid‐state yarn harvester provides a peak power of 5.3 W kg?1 for carbon nanotubes. The solid‐state yarn supercapacitor provides stable performance when dynamically deformed by bending and stretching, for example. A textile configuration that consists of harvesters, supercapacitors, and a Schottky diode is produced and stores as much electrical energy as is needed by a serial or parallel connection of the harvesters or supercapacitors. This textile can be applied as a power source for health care devices or other wearable devices and be self‐powered sensors for detecting human motion.  相似文献

针对目前视觉监控领域中采集到的人物数据样本量少和特征单一的问题,提出了一种具有高视觉感知约束的双向生成对抗网络生成期望人物姿态图像的方法。采用给定人物的单个图像和期望姿态的二维骨架作为双向生成对抗网络的输入,生成具有该目标人物期望姿态的图像。将生成的期望姿态图像反映射回原始姿态图像,利用少量的图像以无监督学习方式进行学习,生成该人物期望姿态的高质量图像。提出的方法在DeepFashion公开数据集上进行了实验,结果表明,采用文中提出的方法生成的图像结构相似度(SSIM)比以往的方法提高了0.28,有效的提升了基于无监督学习的单人多姿态人物图像生成的质量。  相似文献

The increasing popularity of video gaming competitions, the so called eSports, has contributed to the rise of a new type of end-user: the passive game video streaming (GVS) user. This user acts as a passive spectator of the gameplay rather than actively interacting with the content. This content, which is streamed over the Internet, can suffer from disturbing network and encoding impairments. Therefore, assessing the user’s perceived quality, i.e the Quality of Experience (QoE), in real-time becomes fundamental. For the case of natural video content, several approaches already exist that tackle the client-side real-time QoE evaluation. The intrinsically different expectations of the passive GVS user, however, call for new real-time quality models for these streaming services. Therefore, this paper presents a real-time Reduced-Reference (RR) quality assessment framework based on a low-complexity psychometric curve-fitting approach. The proposed solution selects the most relevant, low-complexity objective feature. Afterwards, the relationship between this feature and the ground-truth quality is modelled based on the psychometric perception of the human visual system (HVS). This approach is validated on a publicly available dataset of streamed game videos and is benchmarked against both subjective scores and objective models. As a side contribution, a thorough accuracy analysis of existing Objective Video Quality Metrics (OVQMs) applied to passive GVS is provided. Furthermore, this analysis has led to interesting insights on the accuracy of low-complexity client-based metrics as well as to the creation of a new Full-Reference (FR) objective metric for GVS, i.e. the Game Video Streaming Quality Metric (GVSQM).  相似文献

Performance of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system is greatest when the exact channel state information (CSI) is used for transmitter rate control and power allocation. However, in real systems CSI can only be approximately known. Moreover, in video communication, it can be difficult to use any CSI for rate control of a video codec if the channel changes significantly during a group of pictures coded jointly, such as when the receiver is moving. We address this issue through a hybrid digital–analog (HDA) coding system where a standard video codec is used to generate a fixed-rate base layer upon which the analog quantization error is superimposed as a refinement layer. The system adapts to channel variations by proper transmit-power allocation between digital and analog components and across OFDM subcarriers, based on CSI. We present a power allocation scheme for this system which explicitly takes into account the imprecise nature of the available CSI. Experimental results obtained with simulated OFDM channel traces show that proposed scheme is able to achieve a much better quality-vs-reliability trade-off in video transmission, compared to the best known digital-only and analog-only alternatives.  相似文献
