Integral closure,basically full closure,and duals of nonresidual closure operations

We develop a duality for operations on nested pairs of modules that generalizes the duality between absolute interior operations and residual closure operations from [5], extending our previous results to the expanded context. We apply this duality in particular to integral and basically full closures and their respective cores to obtain integral and basically empty interiors and their respective hulls. We also dualize some of the known formulas for the core of an ideal to obtain formulas for the hull of a submodule of the injective hull of the residue field. The article concludes with illustrative examples in a numerical semigroup ring.     

伏安特性实验中电压表的改进应用

改进了传统电压表的面板设计,使电压表不仅能测两端的电压,还能测量自身的电流.于是在测量元件的伏安特性实验中,使用该电压表可以不考虑被测器件电阻的大小,均采用电流表外接的接线方式,即让电压表分流.再利用电压表的电流测量功能,测出自身分流电流的大小,从而可以准确得出被测器件的电流与两端的电压.     

Theoretical study of the <Superscript>1,3</Superscript>Σ<Superscript>+</Superscript> states of the NaH molecule in the adiabatic and diabatic representations

Adiabatic and diabatic study for all the states dissociating below the ionic limit [i.e., Na (3s, 3p, 4s, 3d, 4p, 5s, 4d, and 4f) + H (1s)] in ¹Σ⁺ and ³Σ⁺ symmetries are presented. Adiabatic results are also reported for ^1,3Π and ^1,3Δ symmetries. Pseudo-potential, operatorial core-valence correlation, and full valence CI approaches combined with an efficient diabatization procedure are used in these ab initio calculations. Our vibrational-level spacings and spectroscopic constants are in good agreement with the available experimental data for the low-lying states. Diabatic potentials and dipole moments are analyzed, revealing the strong imprint of the ionic state in the ¹Σ⁺ adiabatic states. The hydrogen electron affinity correction was taken into account by the use of the efficient diabatization method. This leads to a better agreement with the available experimental data. Experimental suggestions are also given for the higher excited states based on their unusual behavior.     

On the Operation sup for Subcategories of mer

We study properties of the operation , defined for structures corresponding to different subcategories of MER, as merotopies, filter merotopies, contiguities, -contiguities and closures. In particular, we examine commutativity of and the operation according to which a structure induces a structure of another type (as e.g.\ a merotopy induces a closure) and the inverse operations of the former.     

High-throughput approaches for the discovery and optimization of new olefin polymerization catalysts

The discovery of new olefin polymerization catalysts is currently a time-intensive trial-and-error process with no guarantee of success. A fully integrated high-throughput screening workflow for the discovery of new catalysts for polyolefin production has been implemented at Symyx Technologies. The workflow includes the design of the metal-ligand libraries using custom-made computer software, automated delivery of metal precursors and ligands into the reactors using a liquid-handling robot, and a rapid primary screen that serves to assess the potential of each metalligand-activator combination as an olefin polymerization catalyst. "Hits" from the primary screen are subjected to secondary screens using a 48-cell parallel polymerization reactor. Individual polymerization reactions are monitored in real time under conditions that provide meaningful information about the performance capabilities of each catalyst. Rapid polymer characterization techniques support the primary and secondary screens. We have discovered many new and interesting catalyst classes using this technology.
