Problems with the ζ-function method

The -function method for evaluating effective actions is applied to an operator containing a potential localized on two parallel planes. This operator is characterized by a continuous spectrum and broken translation invariance. In this case, the -method leads to a divergent volume factor independent of the physical parameters. In a suitable regularization scheme, only the next to leading order term reproduces a physically interesting result.

On the hyperfine structure in the configuration 5f 3 6d7s 2 of neutral uranium

A Laser Induced Fluorescence experiment in an atomic beam has yielded experimental values of hyperfine structure (hfs) constants A and B for 28 low odd levels and 22 even levels, with an accuracy around 10^–5 cm^–1 for A and 10^–3 cm^–1 for B. A Condon Slater Racah parametric interpretation of the hfs data concerning 22 of these levels, on the basis of the configuration 5f ³ 6d 7s ², has provided values of monoelectronic parametersa _5f ⁰¹ ,a _5f ¹² ,a _6d ⁰¹ ,b _5f ⁰² ,b _6d ⁰² ,b _6d ¹³ . A least square fit calculation has been compared to the values deduced from Dirac-Fock monoelectronic radial integrals. The fit represents 18 A (16 B) values ranging from –0.42 to –2.96 mK (from –41 to 156 mK) with discrepancies less than 0.2 mK (8 mK).     

基于DDS的有源相控阵天线

有源相控阵天线不仅能提高通信系统的性能,而且还能扩充其功能,所以在通信领域的应用越来越广泛.本文介绍一种没有高频移相器的8单元有源相控阵天线系统,它由平面天线阵、数字T/R组件、接收DBF和系统控制分析软件等组成.其基本原理是在发射模式下,利用直接数字合成(DDS)代替传统的高频移相器和衰减器.由于DDS的工作频率比较低,需要通过上变频到系统所需要的工作频率(2.0GHz).在发射模式下,通过控制DDS完成发射波束形成所必需的幅度、相位加权和上变频所必需的本振信号;在接收模式下,则利用DDS技术产生接收信号下变频所必需的本振信号,然后采用DBF技术形成接收波束.文中详细介绍了基于DDS的有源相控阵天线的实现方法和实验结果.通过8单元基于DDS的有源相控阵天线系统的研究,证实了DDS技术在相控阵天线中应用的显著优点和相控阵天线在通信领域具有潜在应用市场.

Effect of deuteron density distribution on the deduction of screening potential from the D(d,p)T reaction in Be metals

The D(d,p)T reaction in Be metal environments has been measured to investigate the electron screening effect in metals in an energy region of from 5.5 keV to 10 keV in a center of mass system(CMS)at a temperature of 121 K.The depth distribution of deuteron density in Be metals has an impact on the observed reaction yields.A model of deuteron density distribution in metal has been proposed to obtain the original yields.A screening energy of(116±46)eV has been obtained with the assumed deuteron density distribution model.     

Lifting via cocycle deformation

We develop a strategy to compute all liftings of a Nichols algebra over a finite dimensional cosemisimple Hopf algebra. We produce them as cocycle deformations of the bosonization of these two. In parallel, we study the shape of any such lifting.
