A complete assignment of all resonances of a small organic molecule is a prerequisite for a structure determination using NMR spectroscopy. This is conventionally obtained using a well‐established strategy based on COSY, HMQC and HMBC spectra. In case of phycocyanobilin (PCB) in HMPT this strategy was unsuccessful due to the symmetry of the molecule and extreme signal overlap. Since 13C and 15N labeled material was available, an alternative strategy for resonance assignment was used. Triple resonance experiments derived from experiments conventionally performed for proteins are sensitive and easy to analyze. We have performed the direct measurements of 13C magnetic shielding for pure liquid TMS, solution of 1% TMS in CDCl3 and solid fullerene. The measurements were carried out in spherical ampoules exploring the relation between the resonance frequencies, shielding constants and magnetic moments of 13C and 3He nuclei. Next the 13C shielding constants of glycine, hexamethylbenzene and adamantane were established on the basis of appropriate chemical shifts measured in the solid state. All the new results are free from susceptibility effects and can be recommended as the reference standards of 13C shielding scale in the magic angle spinning NMR experiments. The mobility of the microcapsules in saturated granular media was estimated on the basis of conventional breakthrough experiments in vertical columns packed with sands for various physical and chemical conditions. Four types of microcapsules have been tested, all of them were found to have reasonable mobility in clean quartz sand, but not in sandy soil. The immobility in the sandy soil was attributed to some production deficiencies in terms of shape, size and quality of the coating surface. The size of the microcapsules should be considerably smaller than those produced with an order of magnitude of a few micrometers. They should also be more spherical and with a smoother surface. The addition of a proper dispersant had stabilized the microcapsules suspension, and facilitated their transport in the sand. A major flow factor affecting microcapsules mobility is the water flux. The microcapsules should be applied at a high irrigation rate, which also implies a high water content in the soil profile. Considering solely the mobility aspect, it seems that the prospect for successful application of the new method for weed control is limited to granular soils with a high hydraulic conductivity at/or near saturation. However, for the time being the most limiting problem is the production of quality microcapsules with good physical and chemical properties.  相似文献

The effect of the rare earth in the perovskite-type mixed oxides AMnO3 (A=Y, La, Pr, Sm, Dy) on catalytic properties in methanol oxidation was investigated in this work. The perovskites were prepared by reactive grinding in order to enhance the specific surface area in comparison with other classical synthesis procedures. These catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption, X-ray diffraction, H2 temperature-programmed reduction (TPR-H2), O2-, CH3OH- and CO2-temperature-programmed desorption (TPD). The activity of the five catalysts under study in the methanol oxidation reaction was evaluated. The behaviour of the α-O2 from the surface of the perovskite was strongly related to the nature of the A-site cation and particularly to its electronegativity but also to its density. Concerning the β-O2 from the bulk, the rare earth only induces an indirect effect notably due to structural modifications. As suggested in a previous study, the activity in methanol oxidation was directly linked with the surface oxygen density. Under an excess of α-oxygen, the reaction intermediate was found to be a monodentate carbonate that decomposes into CO2. The stability of monodentate carbonates was also found to be related to the electronegativity of the rare earth during both CH3OH- and CO2-temperature-programmed desorption. However, as soon as a lack of α-oxygen was observed in the structure, the dominant reaction intermediate was a bidentate carbonate that induces a consumption of anion vacancies in spite of the production of CO2. Nevertheless, the accumulation of these carbonates leads to a decrease in the oxidation rate since their desorption requires high temperatures.  相似文献

In this article a standard mortar finite element method and a mortar element method with Lagrange multiplier are used for spatial discretization of a class of parabolic initial‐boundary value problems. Optimal error estimates in L(L2) and L(H1)‐norms for semidiscrete methods for both the cases are established. The key feature that we have adopted here is to introduce a modified elliptic projection. In the standard mortar element method, a completely discrete scheme using backward Euler scheme is discussed and optimal error estimates are derived.
