We consider isentropic gas dynamics equations with unilateral constraint on the density and mass loss. The γ and pressureless pressure laws are considered. We propose an entropy weak formulation of the system that incorporates the constraint and Lagrange multiplier, for which we prove weak stability and existence of solutions. The nonzero pressure model is approximated by a kinetic BGK relaxation model, while the pressureless model is approximated by a sticky-blocks dynamics with mass loss. 相似文献

Summary Gas chromatography has been employed in the separation of mixtures of air, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide and a volatile anaesthetic (halothane, isoflurane or enflurane) on a single Chromosorb 101 column by temperature programming from room temperature. In proportion to the environmental pollution problems caused by organotin compounds, the genotoxicities of tin compounds in the environments have become of interest so as to estimate their safety in recent years. In this work, isolated λ-DNA (double-strand DNA) was incubated with inorganic tin(II) and tin(IV) and five organotin compounds [n-butyltin trichloride, di(n-butyltin) dichloride, methyltin trichloride, dimethyltin dichloride and trimethyltin chloride] in reaction systems both with and without hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) content. The tin compounds tested in this study did not induce DNA breakage in the absence of hydrogen peroxide. Divalent inorganic tin (SnCl2) and tetravalent inorganic tin (SnCl4) caused DNA breakage in the presence of hydrogen peroxide (10 mM), and the DNA damage activity of inorganic tin was much more potent in divalent inorganic tin (SnCl2) than in tetravalent inorganic tin (SnCl4). Divalent inorganic tin (SnCl2) induced DNA breakage in a concentration-dependent fashion at concentrations greater than 0.1 mM of SnCl2 in the presence of hydrogen peroxide (10 mM). DNA breakage was not caused by n-butyltin compounds and methyltin compounds either in the presence or in the absence of hydrogen peroxide. 相似文献

Summary Six commercial hydrogen standards containing helium, oxygen, nitrogen, methane and carbon dioxide at trace levels were analyzed
by gas chromatography, for periods up to 105 days. The concentrations, in the range of 0–120 μmol mol−1, were stable (with the exception of oxygen) but often significantly different from the certified values provided by the suppliers,
especially for helium, oxygen and nitrogen. Concurrently, some experiments were carried out to verify the stability of gas
mixtures based on hydrogen stored in cylinders submitted to different chemical and physical treatments. The causes that led
to the deviations observed, as well as the decreases in oxygen, are discussed.

Pulsed-field-gradient NMR techniques are demonstrated for measurements of time-dependent gas diffusion. The standard PGSE technique and variants, applied to a free gas mixture of thermally polarized xenon and O2, are found to provide a reproducible measure of the xenon diffusion coefficient (5.71 × 10−6m2s−1for 1 atm of pure xenon), in excellent agreement with previous, non-NMR measurements. The utility of pulsed-field-gradient NMR techniques is demonstrated by the first measurement of time-dependent (i.e., restricted) gas diffusion inside a porous medium (a random pack of glass beads), with results that agree well with theory. Two modified NMR pulse sequences derived from the PGSE technique (named the Pulsed Gradient Echo, or PGE, and the Pulsed Gradient Multiple Spin Echo, or PGMSE) are also applied to measurements of time dependent diffusion of laser polarized xenon gas, with results in good agreement with previous measurements on thermally polarized gas. The PGMSE technique is found to be superior to the PGE method, and to standard PGSE techniques and variants, for efficiently measuring laser polarized noble gas diffusion over a wide range of diffusion times. 相似文献

Atomic layer epitaxy or ALE has proven to be useful for the growth of epitaxial layers of high uniformity, good quality, and
well-controlled thickness. In this study, we have carried out in-situ monitoring during the atmospheric pressure ALE of CdTe on GaAs (100) substrates using spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE). The
susceptor temperature, reactant partial pressures, as well as the flow and flush duration for each precursor are crucial process
variables for ALE growth. Growth was carried out for 20–25 cycles under different sets of these process conditions during
the experiment and in-situ SE was used to verify the presence of layer-by-layer growth, which enabled the quick determination of the process window.
We observed ALE growth of CdTe at 300°C, supporting the explanation that the growth of CdTe occurs via a surface catalyzed
decomposition of the Te precursor di-isopropyltelluride (DIPTe). Investigation of ALE mode growth behavior for different susceptor
temperatures and DIPTe flush times indicated that the growth was limited by competition between desorption and reaction of
the adsorbed DIPTe species on the Cd terminated surface. 相似文献

The subject of spectral distribution methods where one derives and applies the locally smoothed forms of observables in nuclei
is briefly reviewed. It is well understood that the local forms (with respect to energy) of the level density function, expectation
values and strength densities are Gaussian, linear (or ratio of Gaussians) and a bivariate Gaussian respectively. To accomodate
symmetries in the above forms, one has to deal with multivariate distributions in general; for example the angular-momentum
(J) decomposition leads to a bivariate Gaussian form for the level density. These results extend to indefinitely large spaces
by method of partitioning and they generate convolution forms. The origin of these remarkable spectral properties is discussed
and shell model examples are given to substantiate their applicability to nuclear systems. Spectral distribution theory is
a practical, usable theory because the smoothed forms are defined in terms of traces of low particle-rank operators, and the
trace information propagates. Finally we discuss the application of the spectral methods for a wide range of nuclear problems;
these include binding energies, orbit occupancies, electromagnetic andβ-decay sum rule quantities, analysis of operators, symmetry breaking, numerical level densities, and determination of bounds
on time-reversal non-invariant part of nucleon-nucleon interaction. 相似文献
