An eigenvalue problem for derogatory matrices

A matrix A is called derogatory   if there is more than one Jordan submatrix associated with an eigenvalue λ$\lambda$. In this paper, we are concerned with the eigenvalue problem of this type of matrices.     

连续时间LQ控制主要本征对的算法

本文首先提出了离散时间LQ控制的本征值方程当△t→0时怎样退化成为连续时间LQ控制的本征值方程.在建立了分离出的n阶连续时间的本征值方程,并保证了其本征值必定都在左半平面后,本文提出计算其最靠近于虚轴的若干个本征对,可以通过A_e=eA的矩阵变换.A_e的本征值全在单位圆之内.本征向量不变,至于本征值则只要做一次对数运算就可以求得原阵的本征值.A_e阵的最接近于单位圆的若干个本征对的算法,可以通过共轭子空间迭代解解决之.     

Iterative computation of derivatives of repeated eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenvectors

Recently the authors proposed a simultaneous iteration algorithm for the computation of the partial derivatives of repeated eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenvectors of matrices depending on several real variables. This paper analyses the properties of that algorithm and extends it in several ways. The previous requirement that the repeated eigenvalue be dominant is relaxed, and the new generalized algorithm given here allows the simultaneous treatment of simple and repeated eigenvalues. Methods for accelerating convergence are examined. Numerical results support our theoretical analysis. Copyright © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

一维无序系统本征矢的解法

本文提出了一种直接求解五对角厄米特矩阵本征矢的方法,即通过代数运算求出本征矢,而不是用三对角块矩阵来解。该方法对计算一维无序系统的本征矢特别适用。计算结果表明,此方法的存储量小,计算精度高,速度快,并可计算上十万个点阵的无序系统本征矢。     

多自由度线性微幅振动系统简正坐标的一般求法

给出了动能矩阵为对角矩阵,在A=aE和A≠aE(E为单位矩阵)两种情况下同时对角化势能矩阵求简正坐标的一般方法,并提出了先改变坐标标度,后对角化新势能矩阵或用频率特征矩阵的伴随矩阵的任一列求简正坐标的另两种方法．     

Symplectic eigenvector expansion theorem of a class of operator matrices arising from elasticity theory

This paper deals with the completeness of the eigenvector system of a class of operator matrices arising from elasticity theory, i.e., symplectic eigenvector expansion theorem. Under certain conditions, the symplectic orthogonality of eigenvectors of the operator matrix is demonstrated. Based on this, a necessary and sufficient condition for the completeness of the eigenvector system of the operator matrix is given. Furthermore, the obtained results are tested for the free vibration of rectangular thin plates.     

Generalized eigenvector problem for Hermitian Toeplitz matrices and its application to beamforming

The generalized eigenvector problem (GEP) for Hermitian Toeplitz matrices is studied and some properties related to its eigenvectors and the associated eigenfilters are derived. Zero locations of the eigenfilters are also investigated and all of the results are applied to the maximum SINR (signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio) beamforming problem based on ULAs (uniform linear arrays), since maximizing output SINR can be formulated as a generalized eigenvector problem where the matrix pair consisting of the desired signal correlation matrix and interference plus noise correlation matrix. Theoretical analysis based on a three-element ULA is provided, supported by simulations.     

光腔模式及光束传输的特征向量算法

发展了一种新颖的适用于光腔模式及光束传输模拟计算的特征向量法.该方法的核心是基于菲涅耳-基尔霍夫衍射积分理论构造了一种新的光腔传输矩阵,通过求解激光谐振腔的本征积分方程,即可一次求解得到表征腔镜上多个光场模式振幅及相位分布的特征向量组;而谐振腔内或腔外任意地方的光场分布,也可采用该方法进行光束传输模拟而求得.对与该方法有关的单元划分、形函数选取、误差及稳定性分析等问题进行了论述,分析表明:合适的单元划分和形函数选取有利于提高计算速度、精度和稳定性.     

Noise reduction method based on weighted manifold decomposition

A noise reduction method based on weighted manifold decomposition is proposed in this paper, which does not need knowledge of the chaotic dynamics and choosing number of eigenvalues.The simulation indicates that the performance of this method can increase the signal-to-noise ratio of noisy chaotic time series.
