We investigate a model of solid propellant combustion involving surface pyrolysis coupled to finite activation energy gas-phase combustion. Existence and uniqueness of a travelling wave solution are established by extending dynamical system tools classically used for premixed flames, dealing with the additional difficulty arising from the surface regression and pyrolysis. An efficient shooting method allows to solve the problem in phase space without resorting to space discretisation nor fixed-point Newton iterations. The results are compared to solutions from a CFD code developed at ONERA, assessing the efficiency and potential of the method, and the impact of the modelling assumptions is evaluated through parametric studies.  相似文献

Electronic correlations strongly influence the properties of matter. For example, they can induce a discontinuous transition from conducting to insulating behavior. In this paper basic terms of the physics of correlated electrons are explained. In particular, I describe some of the steps that led to the formulation of a comprehensive, non‐perturbative many‐body approach to correlated quantum many‐body systems, the dynamical mean‐field theory (DMFT). The DMFT becomes exact in the limit of high lattice dimensions (d → ∞) and allows one to go beyond the investigation of simple correlation models and thereby better understand, and even predict, the properties of electronically correlated materials.  相似文献

We show that a recently proposed Rudin–Shapiro-like sequence, with balanced weights, has purely singular continuous diffraction spectrum, in contrast to the well-known Rudin–Shapiro sequence whose diffraction is absolutely continuous. In this paper we provide an elementary proof of the existence of canard solutions for a class of singularly perturbed planar systems in which there occurs a transcritical bifurcation of the quasi steady states. The proof uses the one-dimensional result proved by V.F. Butuzov, N.N. Nefedov and K.R. Schneider, and an appropriate monotonicity assumption on the vector field. The result is applied to identify all possible predator–prey models with quadratic vector fields allowing for the existence of canard solutions.  相似文献

The isotropic 129Xe nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) chemical shift (CS) in Xe@C60 dissolved in liquid benzene was calculated by piecewise approximation to faithfully simulate the experimental conditions and to evaluate the role of different physical factors influencing the 129Xe NMR CS. The 129Xe shielding constant was obtained by averaging the 129Xe nuclear magnetic shieldings calculated for snapshots obtained from the molecular dynamics trajectory of the Xe@C60 system embedded in a periodic box of benzene molecules. Relativistic corrections were added at the Breit–Pauli perturbation theory (BPPT) level, included the solvent, and were dynamically averaged. It is demonstrated that the contribution of internal dynamics of the Xe@C60 system represents about 8% of the total nonrelativistic NMR CS, whereas the effects of dynamical solvent add another 8%. The dynamically averaged relativistic effects contribute by 9% to the total calculated 129Xe NMR CS. The final theoretical value of 172.7 ppm corresponds well to the experimental 129Xe CS of 179.2 ppm and lies within the estimated errors of the model. The presented computational protocol serves as a prototype for calculations of 129Xe NMR parameters in different Xe atom guest–host systems. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

The synchronization problem for both continuous and discrete‐time complex dynamical networks with time‐varying delays is investigated. Using optimal partitioning method, time‐varying delays are partitioned into l subintervals and generalized results are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). New delay‐dependent synchronization criteria in terms of LMIs are derived by constructing appropriate Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, reciprocally convex combination technique and some inequality techniques.
