In this paper, temperature evolution in shape-memory TiNi alloys was in situ measured in the process of phase transition under shock loading tests. It was shown that the temperature increased during loading, while unloading, it would keep the maximum value constant or decreased, depending on the strain rate. The corresponding dynamic response indicated that the hardening property is related to phase transition strain and the transformation path has remarkable strain-rate effect. The reason for this phenomenon is essentially due to the temperature dependence of the phase transformation stress. Moreover, the evolution of temperature was consistent with the change of stress, suggesting that this dynamic phase transition deformation is uniform. The theoretical calculation shows that the mechanism of temperature evolution results from the release of latent heat and the hysteresis dissipated energy. The results of this investigation provide insight into intriguing strain-rate-dependent phenomena intrinsic of TiNi alloys. 相似文献

We study the large-time behaviour of global smooth solutions to the Cauchy problem for hyperbolic regularization of conservation laws. An attracting manifold of special smooth global solutions is determined by the Chapman projection onto the phase space of consolidated variables. For small initial data we construct the Chapman projection and describe its properties in the case of the Cauchy problem for moment approximations of kinetic equations. This paper is devoted to the study of the existence of extremal solutions to a first-order initial value problem on an interval of an arbitrary time scale. We prove the existence of extremal solutions for problems satisfying Carathéodory's conditions. Moreover, they are approximated uniformly by a sequence of lower and upper solutions to this problem, respectively. Human joints have respective ranges of motion and joint forces corresponding to each kind of joint; this necessitates considerations of the characteristics of human joints to fabricate wearable strain sensors conformable to the human body, and capable of precisely monitoring complex motions of the human body. In the present study, the “all textile‐based highly stretchable structure” that is capable of precisely sensing motions (folding and rotation) of the human joints (finger, wrist, elbow, spine, and knee) is fabricated by optimizing patterns (straight, blind, and zigzag) of conductive yarns employed as the conductive part of the strain sensor, and several textile substrates (braided elastic fabric, knit fabric, and woven fabric), having preferable elasticity and conformability employed for the fabrication of strain sensors suitable for human joints. In particular, the technology, enabling the prestraining of textile substrate, is exploited to fabricate a strain sensor that is capable of outputting selective signals corresponding to the folding motion of the spinal joint over a predetermined angle of motion, and the gait pattern of the wearer of the sensor, attached to his or her knee joint doing folding and rotational motions, is analyzed. 相似文献

The MReaDy program was designed for studying Multiprocess Reactive Dynamic systems, that is, complex chemical systems involving different and concurrent reactions. It builds a global potential energy surface integrating a variety of potential energy surfaces, each one of them representing an elementary reaction expected to play a role in the chemical process. For each elementary reaction, energy continuity problems may happen in the transition between potential energy surfaces due to differences in the functional form for each of the fragments, especially if built by different authors. A N‐dimensional switch function is introduced in MReaDy in order to overcome such a problem. As an example, results of a collision trajectory calculation for H2 + OH → H3O are presented, showing smooth transition in the potential energy, leading to conservation in the total energy. Calculations for a hydrogen combustion system from 1000 K up to 4000 K shows a variation of 0.012% when compared to the total energy of the system. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 相似文献
