We investigate the quantum-classical transition of a kicked rotor (KR) under perturbation by a second one. The influence of such a chaotic KR makes decoherence of the first one, resulting in the emergence of classical diffusion from its quantum dynamics. Such quantum-classical transition persists by decreasing the effective Planck's constant h, and at the same time, decreasing the mass of the second KR and the interaction strength proportionally. In the limit of h → 0, due to vanishing small mass and interaction, the second KR has almost no effect on the classieal dynamics of the first one. We demonstrate this via two different coupling potentials.  相似文献

The decoherence effect on Grover algorithm has been studied numerically through a noise modelled by a depolarizing channel. Two types of error are introduced characterizing the qubit time evolution and gate application, so the noise is directly related to the quantum network construction. The numerical simulation concludes an exponential damping law for the successive probability of the maxima as time increases. We have obtained an allowed-error law for the algorithm: the error threshold for the allowed noise behaves as εth(N) ∼1/N1.1 (N being the size of the data set). As the power of N is almost one, we consider the Grover algorithm as robust to a certain extent against decoherence. This law also provides an absolute threshold: if the free evolution error is greater than 0.043, Grover algorithm does not work for any number of qubits affected by the present error model. The improvement in the probability of success, in the case of two qubits has been illustrated by using a fault-tolerant encoding of the initial state by means of the [[7,1,3]] quantum code.  相似文献

The effects resulting due to dressing of an exciton with phonons are analyzed as the source of unavoidable decoherence of orbital degrees of freedom in quantum dots. The dressing with longitudinal optical phonons results in energetic shift of order of a few meV even of the ground state of exciton in a state-of-the-art InAs/GaAs dot and the mediating role of longitudinal acoustical phonons is essential in this process. The characteristic time needed for dressing of the exciton with optical phonons is of a picosecond order. That time can be regarded as the lower limit for decoherence for optically driven quantum gates employing self-assembled quantum dot structures.  相似文献

We investigate the short-time decoherence of a solid-state qubit under Ohmic noise at optimal operation points. The decoherence is analyzed by maximum norm of the deviation density operator. It is shown that at the temperature T = 3 mK, the loss of the fidelity due to decoherence is much smaller than the DiVincenzo low decoherence criterion, which means that the mode/may be an optimal candidate of qubit for quantum computation.  相似文献

An algebraic formalism for quantum decoherence in systems with continuous evolution spectrum is introduced. Fisher信息是估计理论中的重要概念,最近发现与量子信息中的纠缠判据具有密切联系.非旋波近似条件下,Dicke模型经典相空间表现为混沌动力学特征.本文详细考察了Dicke模型描述的光与物质相互作用系统中量子Fisher信息和自旋压缩动力学特性.结果表明:在短时瞬态情况下,无论初态处于规则区域还是混沌区域系统均表现为纠缠性质;但在长时稳态情况下,初态处于规则区域时系统纠缠消失,而初态处于混沌区域时系统则一直存在纠缠.通过与系统自旋压缩动力学性质相比较,发现量子Fisher信息可以更有效地刻画量子混沌.进一步考察初态处于规则和混沌区域时系统密度矩阵和纯度的动力学演化特性,发现混沌导致系统退相干现象发生,说明量子Fisher信息对混沌更敏感.  相似文献

We use the nonequilibrium Liouville equation to derive the master equation for the reduced statistical operator in a heat bath represented by a many-particle environment. Focusing on the case of a weak system-bath coupling, we consider the Born-Markov approximation of the master equation and compare the result to different approaches. The master equation is elaborated for the special case of an atom as a reduced system in a plasma background. We find that the dynamical structure factor determines the effect of the plasma on the reduced system.
