Counterpoise-corrected potential energy surfaces of simple H-bonded systems

Geometries and stabilization energies of various simple H-bonded complexes (water dimer, hydrogen fluoride dimer, formamide dimer, formic acid dimer) have been determined by a gradient optimization that eliminates the basis set superposition error (BSSE) by the counterpoise (CP) method in each gradient cycle as well as by the standard gradient optimization. Both optimization methods lead to different potential energy surfaces (PES). The difference depends on the theoretical level used and is larger if correlation energy is considered. Intermolecular distances from the CP-corrected PES are consistently longer, and this difference might be significant (∼0.1 ?); also angular characteristics determined from both surfaces differ significantly. Different geometries were obtained even when passing to larger basis sets (aug-cc-pVDZ). The standard optimization procedure can result in a completely wrong structure. For example, the “quasi-linear” structure of the (HF)₂ (global minimum) does not exist at the standard MP2/ 6-31G** PES (where only cyclic structure was detected) and is found only at the CP-corrected PES. Stabilization energies obtained from the CP-corrected PES are always larger than these from the standard PES where the BSSE is added only a posteriori for the final optimized structure; both energies converge only when passing to a larger basis set (aug-cc-pVDZ). 大学化学先修课程的实践与思考

中国大学先修课程是国内在基础教育阶段探索人才培养的一种新模式,同时也是高校探索通过综合评价选拔人才的途径之一。在连续3个轮次教学实践的基础上,北京师范大学第二附属中学对大学化学课程的目标定位、课程内容、实施方式以及资源建设等方面进行了系统的总结,讨论了目前大学先修课程实施过程中所面临的若干问题。

英国CIE A-level化学教材与人教版高中化学教材中“有机化学”模块的比较研究

以中英2国高中化学教材中的有机化学模块为切入点，对英国CIE A-level化学教材与人教版高中《化学2（必修）》及《有机化学基础（选修5）》在该模块中的课程标准、结构体系、内容选取及组织呈现、栏目设计、典型知识点的编排等方面进行比较，分析英国CIE A-level化学教材的特色和优势。     

ADSORPTION OF 2,4-D ON MODIFIED HYPERCROSSLINKED POLYSTYRENE （NDA-99） AND XAD-4 RESIN

The adsorption behavior of pesticide 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) in aqueous solution has been investigated using a hypercrosslinked polystyrene adsorbent (NDA-99) modified by dimethylamine group as well as a nonionic macroporous adsorbent (XAD-4). The Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models were employed to fit the experimental data to describe adsorption mechanism. It shows that NDA-99 resin exhibits an adsorption affinity for 2,4-D higher than XAD-4 resin owing to its exceptional micropore structure and the amine group of the hypercrosslinked matrix.Further studies indicate that the hydrogen bonding interaction and the stronger π-π conjugation play a significant role in the course of the adsorption of 2,4-D on NDA-99 resin, which is in agreement with the IR spectroscopic results and the △E values of HOMO (the highest occupied molecular orbit) of adsorbent and LUMO (the lowest unoccupied molecular orbit) of adsorbate calculated from the MINDO/3 model.

本文追溯了统计学发展、建立中的大事, 陈述了它的定义及其化学分支发展、建立的梗概; 鉴于化学界对该新兴化学分支学科的名称长期存在争议, 提出了以化学统计学而不以化学计量学为该学科名称的理由, 把化学统计学定义为一个研究有关数据的收集或产生、描述、分析、综合和解释, 以获得新化学知识或信息的学科; 阐明了许多公认属于统计学的方法, 如显著性检验、方差分析、回归和相关, 以及一些尚未认定属于统计学的方法, 如模型建立、蒙特卡罗方法、傅立叶变换和人工神经网络, 都含有统计学5 个内涵中的一个或多个; 探讨了化学统计学家成长的模式, 认为当务之急是把化学统计学纳入化学专业的教学计划, 以培养懂统计学的化学家。
