The electron-phonon interaction in cuprates with c-axis polarised optical phonons, which is roughly one order of magnitude stronger than superexchange, bounds holes into mobile bipolarons. Bipolarons pin the chemical potential within the charge-transfer gap of doped Mott insulators, accounting for unusual kinetics and thermodynamics of doped cuprates such as the Nernst and giant proximity effects, pseudo-gaps, and normal-state diamagnetism. We propose that “quasi-particle” peaks, “Fermi-arcs”, and high-energy “waterfalls” in the photoemission spectra of cuprates originate from the photo-ionization matrix elements of disorder-localised band-tails in the charge-transfer gap.  相似文献

The paper starts from classroom situations about the study of a functional relationship with help of technological tools as a ‘transposition’ of experimental approaches from research mathematical practices. It considers the limitation of this transposition in existing curricula and practices based on the use of non-symbolic software like dynamic geometry and spreadsheets. The paper focuses then on the potentialities of classroom use of computer algebra packages that could help to go beyond this shortcoming. It looks at a contradiction: while symbolic calculation is a basic tool for mathematicians, curricula and teachers are very cautious regarding their use by students. The rest of the paper considers the design and experiment of a computer environment Casyopée as means to contribute to an evolution of curricula and classroom practices to achieve the transposition in the domain of algebraic activities linked to functions.  相似文献

Global optimization problems with a few variables and constraints arise in numerous applications but are seldom solved exactly. Most often only a local optimum is found, or if a global optimum is detected no proof is provided that it is one. We study here the extent to which such global optimization problems can be solved exactly using analytical methods. To this effect, we propose a series of tests, similar to those of combinatorial optimization, organized in a branch-and-bound framework. The first complete solution of two difficult test problems illustrates the efficiency of the resulting algorithm. Computational experience with the programbagop, which uses the computer algebra systemmacsyma, is reported on. Many test problems from the compendiums of Hock and Schittkowski and others sources have been solved.The research of the first and the third authors has been supported by AFOSR grants #0271 and #0066 to Rutgers University. In this work,the isotherm and energy distribution at T=304 K of dense helium are studied by molecular dynamic (MD) simulations with exp-6 potential r*=2.9673 ? (the position of the well minimum) and ε/kB=10.8 K (ε is the well-depth and kB is the Boltzmann constant) given by Peter et al.,and different values of stiffness parameter α.The optimized value of α=12.7 is deduced that can describe the atomic interactions for dense helium satisfactorily.This optimized α in exp-6 potential is used to conduct MD simulations of two isotherms of dense helium at T=300 K and T=298K.The calculations are in good agreement with the experimental.We further employed this method to investigate the equation-of-state and structure of dense helium at higher temperatures and found that when the density remained 1.6 g/cm3,the second peak of the radial distribution function would disappear in the temperature range from 2000 to 3040 K,demonstrating that a solid-liquid transition or decrystallization had occurred.  相似文献

We investigate the interface dynamics of the two-dimensional stochastic Ising model in an external field under helicoidal boundary conditions. At sufficiently low temperatures and fields, the dynamics of the interface is described by an exactly solvable high-spin asymmetric quantum Hamiltonian that is the infinitesimal generator of the zero range process. Generally, the critical dynamics of the interface fluctuations is in the Kardar–Parisi–Zhang universality class of critical behavior. We remark that a whole family of RSOS interface models similar to the Ising interface model investigated here can be described by exactly solvable restricted high-spin quantum XXZXXZ-type Hamiltonians.  相似文献

A path bundle is a set of 2a paths in an n-cube, denoted Qn, such that every path has the same length, the paths partition the vertices of Qn, the endpoints of the paths induce two subcubes of Qn, and the endpoints of each path are complements.
