The analytic design of anamorphic optical system for transforming the coherent Gaussian beam of a He–Ne laser to a partially coherent Gaussian Schell-model beam with an anisotropic cross-section and an anisotropic degree of coherence is described. The coherent superposition of atomic states leads to the characteristic change of interacting lights because of the coupling between the lights and atoms. In this paper, the noise spectrum of the quantified light interacting with the atoms is studied under the condition of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT). It is shown that the noise spectrum displays a double M-shape noise profile resulted from the conversion of phase noise of probe beam. A squeezing of 0.3 dB can be observed at the detuning of probe light at the proper parameters of atoms and coupling beam.  相似文献

Intermolecular dipolar interactions between proton and carbon spins can be used to indirectly detect carbon spectra with high sensitivity. In this communication, we present a modified sequence that, in addition to the high sensitivity of heteronuclear intermolecular multiple quantum coherence (iMQC) experiments, retains the line narrowing capability characteristic of homonuclear zero-quantum coherences. We demonstrate that this sequence can be used to obtain high resolution (13)C spectra in the presence of magnetic field inhomogeneities, both for thermal and hyperpolarized samples, and discuss applications to water-hyperpolarized carbon imaging.  相似文献

Spin counting NMR is an experimental technique that allows a determination of the size and time evolution of networks of dipolar coupled nuclear spins. This work reports on an average Hamiltonian treatment of two spin counting sequences and compares the efficiency of the two cycles in the presence of flip errors, RF inhomogeneity, phase transients, phase errors, and offset interactions commonly present in NMR experiments. Simulations on small quantum systems performed using the two cycles reveal the effects of pulse imperfections on the resulting multiple quantum spectra, in qualitative agreement with the average Hamiltonian calculations. Experimental results on adamantane are presented, demonstrating differences in the two sequences in the presence of pulse errors.  相似文献

A four-level double-ladder atomic system with two upper states coupled to the excited state by a standing-wave trigger field is explored to generate photonic bandgap (PBG) structure. With the assistance of spontaneously generated coherence (SGC) from the two decay pathways, we can obtain single or double fully developed PBG when the trigger field is far away from resonance or resonant. While in the absence of SGC, the atomic medium becomes strong absorptive to the probe field, and therefore the resulting PBGs are severely malformed or even cannot be opened up. Numerical results show that the PBG structure is originated from the third-order cross Kerr nonlinear modulation between the probe and trigger fields. This mechanism differs from the recent schemes based on linear modulation.  相似文献

当用微波场作用到V型三能级原子的两个激发态能级时,系统跃迁路径之间发生交叉耦合导致了量子相干效应.通过调节微波场的强度,可实现对原子吸收和色散性质的改变,并呈现零吸收高折射率现象.此外,微波场诱导的量子相干也可实现相对相位对探测光增益的控制.  相似文献

Bistability behaviors in an optical ring cavity filled with a dense V-type four-level atomic medium are theoretically investigated. It is found that the optical bistability can appear in the negative refraction frequency band, while both the bistability and multi-stability can occur in the positive refraction frequency bands. Therefore, optical bistability can be realized from conventional material to negative index material due to quantum coherence in our scheme.  相似文献
