Factorization in generalized power series

The field of generalized power series with real coefficients and exponents in an ordered abelian divisible group is a classical tool in the study of real closed fields. We prove the existence of irreducible elements in the ring consisting of the generalized power series with non-positive exponents. The following candidate for such an irreducible series was given by Conway (1976): . Gonshor (1986) studied the question of the existence of irreducible elements and obtained necessary conditions for a series to be irreducible. We show that Conway's series is indeed irreducible. Our results are based on a new kind of valuation taking ordinal numbers as values. If we can give the following test for irreducibility based only on the order type of the support of the series: if the order type is either or of the form and the series is not divisible by any monomial, then it is irreducible. To handle the general case we use a suggestion of
M.-H. Mourgues, based on an idea of Gonshor, which allows us to reduce to the special case . In the final part of the paper we study the irreducibility of series with finite support.

     

Two-period model for calculation of level populations in subbands of multi-period quantum-cascade superlattice structures

Computation of Almost Split Sequences with Applications to Relatively Projective and Prinjective Modules

Let be an Artin algebra, let mod be the category of finitely generated -modules, and let Amod be a contravariantly finite and extension closed subcategory. For an indecomposable and not Ext-projective module CA, we compute the almost split sequence 0ABC0 in A from the almost split sequence 0DTrCEC0 in mod. Since the computation is particularly simple if the minimal right A-approximation of DTrC is indecomposable for all indecomposable and not Ext-projective CA, we manufacture subcategories A with the desired property using orthogonal subcategories. The method of orthogonal subcategories is applied to compute almost split sequences for relatively projective and prinjective modules.     

一种基于物体质心的图像自动化校准方法

图像校准是将任意相邻两图像都具有公共部分的一列图像合成一副全图的图像处理过程.而图像自动化校准的难点在于对一组图像公共部分特征信息的提取和自动匹配,尤其是自动匹配和图像校准的误差分析.本文基于放射变换不变性,给出了一种基于特征信息质心的自动匹配方法,与目前国际上主流特征提取和特征校准方法相比,本文方法较准确,且适用于卫星图片及一些MRI和CT 图片.本文方法的另一优点是具有线性计算复杂度.     

Stability of symmetric closed characteristics on symmetric compact convex hypersurfaces in ℝ<Superscript>2<Emphasis Type="Italic">n</Emphasis></Superscript> under a pinching condition

In this paper, let Σ R2n be a symmetric compact convex hypersurface which is ( r, R )- pinched with R/r (5/3)1/2 . Then Σ carries at least two elliptic symmetric closed characteristics; moreover, Σ carries at least E [ n-1/2 ] + E [ n-1/3 ] non-hyperbolic symmetric closed characteristics.     

Regularity of Segal algebras

Let A be a Banach algebra. The second dual A** can be equipped with two multiplications, each of which is a natural extension of the original multiplication in A. The algebra A is said to be Arens regular if these two multiplications coincide. We give necessary (and, for some classes of algebras, sufficient) conditions for the regularity of a Segal algebra. We also obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the weak complete continuity of a Segal algebra.     

A Distance-Regular Graph with Strongly Closed Subgraphs

Let be a distance-regular graph of diameter d, valency k and r := maxi | (c _i,b _i) = (c ₁,b ₁). Let q be an integer with r + 1 q d – 1.In this paper we prove the following results: Theorem 1 Suppose for any pair of vertices at distance q there exists a strongly closed subgraph of diameter q containing them. Then for any integer i with 1 i q and for any pair of vertices at distance i there exists a strongly closed subgraph of diameter i containing them. Theorem 2 If r 2, then c _2r+3 1.As a corollary of Theorem 2 we have d k ²(r + 1) if r 2.     

弱闭T(N)-模的预零化子的等距映射

本文刻划了弱闭T(N)-模的预零化子间的等距映射.设u,W分别为由左连续序同态N→~N和N→~N所确定的弱闭T(N)-模, u(?),W(?)分别为u,W的预零化子,Φ为由u(?)到W(?)上的线性等距映射.若(0)*=(0)#=(0),dim(0)+≠1且min{dim(H(?)~H),dim(He(?)^H)}≥2,则存在酉算子Ui,Vi(i=1,2),使得Φ(A)=U1AV*1或Φ(A)=U2A*V2*.     

氢负离子在微腔中的光剥离研究

利用闭合轨道理论,研究了氢负离子在金属面和弹性界面组成的微腔中的光剥离截面.结果表明,微腔的上下表面对氢负离子的光剥离截面产生很大影响.若固定金属面与氢负离子之间的距离不变,当弹性界面与氢负离子之间的距离很大时,弹性界面对氢负离子光剥离截面的影响很小,光剥离截面的振荡幅度和振荡频率与只有金属面时的情况类似.随着弹性界面和氢负离子之间距离的不断减小,光剥离截面的振荡幅度增大,振荡频率减小.若保持氢负离子和弹性界面之间的距离不变,随着金属面和氢负离子之间距离d₀的不断增大, 关键词： 光剥离截面 闭合轨道理论 微腔
