A new scheme to alleviate contention in optical burst switching networks is proposed. It consists of preventively reserving resources in a node, to be used if resources are busy on the next hop node. The burst is sent back to the preceding node and then resent forward. Simulations are carried out to assess the feasibility of the proposed scheme. Its performance is compared with that of contention resolution based on deflection routing.  相似文献

Optical cross-connects are expected to be the key element in future optical transport networks. In this paper, a simple OXC architecture is proposed and its performance evaluated by means of simulations. The main advantage of the proposed design in front of previously reported structures consists in the absence of any tunable component. Obtained results show that the proposed device performance is close to that given by an OXC with full wavelength conversion capability.  相似文献

Uniformly sized and shape-controlled nanoparticles are important due to their applications in catalysis, electrochemistry, ion exchange, molecular adsorption, and electronics. Several ferric phosphate hydroxide (Fe4(OH)3(PO4)3) microstructures were successfully prepared under hydrothermal conditions. Using controlled variations in the reaction conditions, such as reaction time, temperature, and amount of hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), the crystals can be grown as almost perfect hyperbranched microcrystals at 180 °C (without CTAB) or relatively monodisperse particles at 220 °C (with CTAB). The large hyperbranched structure of Fe4(OH)3(PO4)3 with a size of ∼19 μm forms with the “fractal growth rule” and shows many branches. More importantly, the magnetic properties of these materials are directly correlated to their size and micro/nanostructure morphology. Interestingly, the blocking temperature (TB) shows a dependence on size and shape, and a smaller size resulted in a lower TB. These crystals are good examples that prove that physical and chemical properties of nano/microstructured materials are related to their structures, and the precise control of the morphology of such functional materials could allow for the control of their performance.  相似文献

The development of asphalt‐based UV blocking materials is important to extend the alphalt lifespan in road construction. In this work, we put forward that the fabrication of host‐guest system can be an effective way to obtain UV blocking materials. Firstly, a new anionic Schiff base, N ,N' ‐bis(salicylidine)‐4,4'‐diaminostilbene‐2,2'‐disulfonic acid (SDSD ), has been synthesized, which was intercalated into Zn‐Al‐LDH by anion‐exchange method. FT‐IR and XRD illustrate the layered organic–inorganic composite, Zn‐Al‐SDSD‐LDH , has been successfully synthesized with high crystallinity. Laser particle size analyzer, SEM and TEM show that particle size distributions of Zn‐Al‐SDSD‐LDH is in the range 100–500 nm. UV –vis absorption spectra show that Zn‐Al‐SDSD‐LDH has better UV absorption than the pristine Zn‐Al‐LDH and SDSD . Furthermore, the mixture of asphalt and 3 wt% Zn‐Al‐SDSD‐LDH presents enhanced UV blocking property relative to the pristine asphalt after irradiating by UV spray accelerated weathering test. Therefore, this work not only develops a new type of host‐guest Zn‐Al‐SDSD‐ LDH , but also confirms it can be an effective asphalt UV blocking material for practical application.  相似文献

General principles are formulated for modeling the elastic deformation of materials and analyzing plane waves in nonlinearly elastic materials such as hyperelastic, hypoelastic, and those governed by the general law of elasticity. The results of studying the propagation of plane waves in hypoelastic materials are further outlined. The influence of initial stresses and initial velocities on the types and number of plane waves is studied. Wave effects characteristic of hypoelastic materials are predicted theoretically. A PbSe solution‐processed nanocrystal‐based infrared photodetector incorporating carrier blocking layers is demonstrated, and significant reduction of dark current is achieved. Detectivity values close to 1012 Jones are achieved by using poly[(9,9′‐dioctylfluorenyl‐2,7‐diyl)‐co‐(4,4′‐(N‐(4‐sec‐butyl))diphenylamine)] (TFB) and ZnO nanocrystals (NC) as the electron blocker and hole blocker, respectively. An improvement in lifetime is also observed in the devices with the ZnO NCs hole blocking layer.  相似文献
