This paper proposes a methodology to benchmark satellite payload architectures and find the optimal trade‐offs between high flexibility and low complexity. High flexibility would enable the satellite to adapt to various distributions of user terminals on the ground and fulfill the data rate demand of these users. Besides, low complexity is required to keep satellite networks competitive in the context of emerging 5G networks. To estimate the flexibility of a payload, an indicator to characterize the non‐uniformity of user distributions is proposed. Each benchmarked payload may be characterized by a graph relating the throughput to this parameter further denoted . The payload provides the same throughput trends for different scenarios of user distributions with the same parameter. As a consequence, the average capacity of the system may be estimated by (a) calculating the probability distribution of over the orbit and (b) integrating the throughput based on this payload response. It thus results in a straightforward way for benchmarking payloads directly on an estimation of the averaged capacity, accounting for the user distribution over the earth. A simulation platform has been developed to characterize the payload throughput including the implementation of a resource allocation algorithm that accounts for constraints of various payloads. Using this definition and the developed tool, we benchmark a bent‐pipe architecture, a beam hopping architecture and a hybrid beam‐steering architecture for a LEO megaconstellation use case. It is well-known that the principle of increasing entropy holds for isolated natural systems that contain non-adaptive molecules. Here we present, for the first time, an experimental evidence for a possible human counterpart of the principle in an isolated social system that involves adaptive humans. Our work shows that the human counterpart is valid even though interactions among humans in social systems are distinctly different from those among molecules in natural systems. Thus, it becomes possible to understand social systems from this natural principle, at least to some extent. 相似文献

With the introduction of wireless modems and smart phones, the passenger transport industry is witnessing a high demand to ensure not only the safety of the trains, but also to provide users with Internet access all the time inside the train. When the Mobile Terminal (MT) communicates directly with the Base Station (BS), it will experience a severe degradation in the Quality of Service due to the path loss and shadowing effects as the wireless signal is traveling through the train. In this paper, we study the performance in the case of relays placed on top of each train car. In the proposed approach, these relays communicate with the cellular BS on one hand, and with the MTs inside the train cars on the other hand, using the Long Term Evolution (LTE) cellular technology. A low complexity heuristic LTE radio resource management approach is proposed and compared to the Hungarian algorithm, both in the presence and absence of the relays. The presence of the relays is shown to lead to significant enhancements in the effective data rates of the MTs. In addition, the proposed resource management approach is shown to reach a performance close to the optimal Hungarian algorithm. 相似文献

In order to minimize the transmitted power in the multi-user orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system, a scheme combining the improved particle swarm optimization (POS) algorithm with genetic algorithm (GA) is proposed to optimize the sub-carriers and bits allocation. In the algorithm, a random velocity between the maximum and minimum particle velocity is used as the updating velocity instead of maximum or minimum velocity when the updated particle velocity is higher than the maximum particle velocity or lower than the minimum particle velocity. Then, the convergence population is used as the initial population of the genetic algorithm to optimize the sub-carriers and bits allocation further. Simulation results show that the transmitted power of the proposed algorithm is about 2 dB to 10 dB lower than that of the genetic algorithm, particle swarm optimization algorithm, and Zhang's algorithm. 相似文献

现有互联网网络体系和机制相对"静态"和"僵化",缺乏支持智慧网络的有效机制.要从根本上解决现有互联网存在的严重弊端,必须创建新的网络理论体系.本文在智慧协同网络"三层"、"两域"体系结构下,针对"网络组件层"的路由自适配问题展开研究,提出基于生物启发的转发网络族群自适配路由策略,实现族群内路由组件之间的智慧协调、动态重构和优化决策,有效解决现有路由策略的静态、僵化等问题.通过数学分析证明:如果设定模型参数μ∈(0,1),提出的自适配路由策略可以始终保持稳定性.最后,通过原型系统验证了提出自适配路由策略是切实可行的,能够提高网络的承载业务数量和提升用户体验. 相似文献
