本文提出了用多输出四端浮地零泛器（Four Terminal Floating Nullor)实现的电流模式二阶多功能滤波器结构，它由4个多输出四端浮地零泛器FTFNs，1个反向的单位增益器，6个接地电阻和2个接地电容组成，电路能同时实现陷波、高通、带通、低通电流转移函数。固有角频率ω0与品质因素Q能实现正交调节时，且有低的有源和无源泉灵敏度。     

Bistable Optical Devices Using Laser Diodes Coupled to Interference Filters

A bistable optical device was demonstrated by using the longitudinal mode hopping of the laser diode and the narrow transmission spectrum of an interference filter. The device is capable of converting changes in the wavelength of the laser diode into changes in intensity by transmitting it through the filter. Exclusive OR operation was observed with the use of triple signal outputs. In addition, an optical switch-off phenomenon was confirmed by directly injecting a pulse 500 ps wide into an external dye laser.     

Novelty Filtering Using Phase Conjugate Wave in Organic Dye-Doped Polymer Films

A real-time detection of a moving object was demonstrated by taking the subtraction between cross-polarized phase conjugate waves with fast and slow response times with two kinds of dye-doped phase conjugators. One consists of superposed films of an erythrosin-B-doped film and a methyl-orange-doped film, and the other is a film dispersed with both dyes. The relative phase between cross-polarized phase conjugate waves by the both dye-dispersed films was stable.

Viable improvement of the full potential linearized augmented plane wave (FLAPW) method

A characteristic feature of the Full Potential Linearized Augmented Plane Wave (FLAPW)-method consists in the spatial subdivision of the charge density analogous to that of the one-particle wavefunctions, i.e. into a portion that is expanded in terms of spherical harmonics Y_lm inside the muffin-tin spheres and into a plane wave expansion of the interstitial charge density. To obtain the Hartree potential inside the spheres one is hence forced to solve a boundary value problem at the sphere surface. In addition, in all non-equivalent spheres each (l,m)-component of the charge density is mapped onto 300-400 radial grid points. To ensure an accelerated convergence of the calculation, the pertinent schemes require this rather large data set to be stored and mixed within 3-6 iteration steps. We show and illustrate for the example of a spin-polarized Ni-film with and without an oxygen overlayer and for bulk Si that this data set can be compressed by at least two orders of magnitude if one partitions the charge density in a different way so that the relevant portion determining the interatomic bonding can be Fourier expanded throughout the lattice cell. One thereby arrives at a modified FLAPW-scheme that combines favorable features of the original method with virtues of the pseudopotential method which consist in the simple construction of the Hartree potential and the efficient way of achieving self-consistency. These advantages can be exploited to the fullest by using Fast Fourier Transform. Moreover, forces that atoms experience in off-equilibrium positions attain a particularly simple form in terms of the charge density expansion coefficients. Multilayer resonators and a bandpass filter fabricated from a novel low-temperature co-fired ceramic

The main objective of this study was to make components from a novel low-loss, low-temperature Co-fired ceramic (LTCC) dielectric, which was also compatible with a high-conductivity silver paste. The multilayer-component fabrication procedure is presented together with a composition for a tape-casting slurry, choice of conductor paste, and LTCC process parameters. A good Q factor, >100 at 2 GHz, using the novel material system has been achieved for λ/2 resonators operating in the frequency range 1.7–3.7 GHz. An excellent frequency response for a 2 GHz bandpass filter has also been achieved; the insertion losses in the passband were less than −2 dB (bandwidth 60 MHz) and the attenuation more than 25 dB in the stopband located 190 MHz higher.     

Synchronisation Techniques for HIPERLAN

Timing recovery in the High Performance Radio Local Area Network (HIPERLAN) standard is likely to be performed with the aid of synchronisation sequences embedded in the user data, which will be detected with matched filters. A directed search using a form of genetic algorithm has been performed to obtain suitable sequences of lengths up to 80 bits, and simulations of their performance have been undertaken. Performance of the sequences has been measured under the severe channel conditions that pertain in the indoor environment.
