In response to a stimulus, a soft material deforms, and the deformation provides a function. We call such a material a soft active material (SAM). This review focuses on one class of soft active materials: dielectric elastomers. When a membrane of a dielectric elastomer is subject to a voltage through its thickness, the membrane reduces thickness and expands area, possibly straining over 100%. The dielectric elastomers are being developed as transducers for broad applications, including soft robots, adaptive optics, Braille displays, and electric generators. This paper reviews the theory of dielectric elastomers, developed within continuum mechanics and thermodynamics, and motivated by molecular pictures and empirical observations. The theory couples large deformation and electric potential, and describes nonlinear and nonequilibrium behavior, such as electromechanical instability and viscoelasticity. The theory enables the finite element method to simulate transducers of realistic configurations, predicts the efficiency of electromechanical energy conversion, and suggests alternative routes to achieve giant voltage-induced deformation. It is hoped that the theory will aid in the creation of materials and devices.  相似文献

In this paper, the disturbance propagation and active vibration control of a finite L-shaped beam axe studied. The dynamic response of the structure is obtained by the travelling wave approach. The active vibration suppression of the finite L-shaped beam is performed based on the structural vibration power flow. In the numerical calculation, the influences of the near field effect of the error sensor and the small error of the control forces on the control results are all considered. The simulation results indicate that the structural vibration response in the medium and high frequency regions can be effectively computed by the travelling wave method. The effect of the active control by controlling the power flow is much better than that by controlling the acceleration in some cases. And the control results by the power flow method are slightly affected by the locations of the error sensor and the small error of the control forces.  相似文献

建立了一个新的结构-尾流振子耦合模型. 流场近尾迹动力学特征被模化为非线性阻尼 振子,采用van der Pol方程描述. 以控制体中结构与近尾迹流体间受力互为反作 用关系来实现流固耦合. 采用该模型进行了二维结构涡激振动计算,得到了合理的 振幅随来流流速的变化规律和共振幅值,并正确地预计了共振振幅值$A_{\max}^\ast$ 随着质量阻尼参数$\left( {m^\ast + C_A } \right)\zeta $的变化规律,给出了预测$A_{\max }^\ast $值的拟合公式. 采用该模型计算了三维柔性结构在均匀来流和简谐波形来流作用下的VIV 响应. 结构在均匀来流作用下振动呈现由驻波向行波的变化过程, 并最后稳定为行波振动形态. 在简谐波形来流作用下,结构呈现混合振动形态,幅值随时间呈周期变化.  相似文献

The unsteady loads in a tube bundle are studied at moderate and high Reynolds number by means of URANS and hybrid (DDES) modelling. The onset of fluid-elastic instability is analysed for different structural parameters, Scruton number and reduced velocity. The simulations have been carried out with the code NSMB (Navier–Stokes Multi Block) by using turbulence modelling methods URANS and DDES (Delayed Detached Eddy Simulation). The CEA-DIVA configuration is considered for the cylinders array for an inter-tube Reynolds number 60 000. The study is carried out for a configuration of (4×5) cylinders in static conditions as well as for the vertical free motion of one of the central cylinders in one DOF (Degree Of Freedom).The inter-tube Reynolds number is 60 000. It is found that this cylinder spontaneously displays an oscillatory motion which first corresponds to Vortex Induced Vibration (VIV), associated to a lock-in mechanism for low values of the reduced velocity and secondly develops Movement Induced Vibration, MIV, for higher values of the reduced velocity. The variation of the cylinder׳s oscillations frequency, of the unsteady loads and the structure׳s displacement are studied as a function of the reduced velocity for low and high values of the Scruton number. The increase of the phase-lag between the forces and the displacement is predicted and discussed for different Scruton number values and reduced velocities.  相似文献

Boundary layer wind tunnel tests were conducted to investigate the effects of different spacing parameters on the wind loading of ground and roof mounted solar arrays. On the ground mounted array the effect of lateral and longitudinal spacing between panels was investigated. On the roof mounted array the effect of array perimeter gap from the building edge was investigated. Based on the results obtained, the magnitude of force and moment coefficients on the ground mounted array decreased across panel rows as a result of sheltering effect from the neighboring upwind panels. The largest reduction of wind load coefficients was observed on the second row panels but the amount of reduction dropped quickly afterwards, becoming minimal after the fourth row. It was also observed that panels located in the outer array column could be subjected to relatively higher wind loads compared to panels located in the inner array columns. Increasing the lateral spacing between array columns was observed to have minimal effect on the force and moment coefficients. However, the wind load coefficients increased as the longitudinal spacing between panel rows was increased. The wind load coefficients on the roof mounted array decreased with increasing perimeter gap from the building edge.  相似文献

A multibody frictional mortar contact formulation (Gitterle et al., 2010) is extended for the simulation of solids undergoing finite strains with inelastic material behavior. The framework includes the modeling of finite strain inelastic deformation, the numerical treatment of frictional contact conditions and specific finite element technology. Several well-established and recent models are employed for each of these building blocks to capture the distinct physical aspects of the deformation behavior. The approach is based on a mortar formulation and the enforcement of contact constraints is realized with dual Lagrange multipliers. The introduction of nonlinear complementarity functions into the frictional contact conditions combined with the global equilibrium leads to a system of nonlinear equations, which is solved in terms of the semi-smooth Newton method. The resulting method can be interpreted as a primal–dual active set strategy (PDASS) which deals with contact nonlinearities, material and geometrical nonlinearities in one iterative scheme. The consistent linearization of all building blocks of the framework yields a robust and highly efficient approach for the analysis of metal forming problems. The effect of finite inelastic strains on the solution behavior of the PDASS method is examined in detail based on the complementarity parameters. A comprehensive set of numerical examples is presented to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the approach against the traditional node-to-segment penalty contact formulation.  相似文献

相控阵超声无损检测技术近年来在无损检测领域得到了越来越广泛的应用。但当前相控阵超声检测基于传统线性超声,对于材料或结构的微缺陷、微裂纹等缺陷不敏感。研究基于超声的非线性效应的非线性超声无损检测技术对于克服线性超声相控阵技术的不足具有积极的意义。本文设计和开发了基于非线性超声相控阵的无损检测系统,并利用超声检测的标准试件对该系统的性能进行了检验。对比测试了常规线性超声方法、基于滤波的非线性超声方法以及基于反相脉冲的非线性超声方法对于钨丝线靶、超声仿体以及碳钢试块的检测效果。测试结果表明,非线性超声相控阵无损检测技术与传统线性超声相控阵无损检测相比具有空间分辨力高、缺陷分辨力强等优点,而基于反相脉冲的非线性相控阵超声无损检测在空间分辨力上比基于滤波的非线性超声检测方法又有比较显著的提高。  相似文献

耳蜗力学是听觉科学和生理声学研究的核心话题,同时也是一个极具代表性的生物力学话题. 深入总结和揭示耳蜗力学特性能够推动相关问题的深入研究和促进心理声学的发展与应用. 该文分宏观力学和微观力学两部分进行综述,然后结合近几年的研究动态,总结耳蜗力学的发展趋势和应用前景. 表明耳蜗作为一个杰出的频率选择和高灵敏度的声信号感应器官,可以对20~20 000 Hz 这样跨度达千倍的频率做出精确响应,且刺激信号可以放大4 000 倍以上.  相似文献

针对大型周边桁架式索网天线由拉索拉压模量不同引起的本构非线性和结构大变形引起的几何非线性问题,给出了基于参变量变分原理的几何非线性有限元方法. 首先针对含预应力索单元拉压模量不同分段描述的本构关系,通过引入参变量,导出了基于参变量及其互补方程的统一描述形式,避免了传统算法需要根据当前变形对索单元张紧/松弛状态的预测,提高了算法收敛性. 然后利用拉格朗日应变描述索网天线结构大变形问题,结合几何非线性有限元法,建立了基于参变量的非线性平衡方程和线性互补方程;并给出了牛顿-拉斐逊迭代法与莱姆算法相结合的求解算法. 数值算例验证了本文提出的算法比传统算法具有更稳定的收敛性和更高的求解精度,特别适合于大型索网天线结构的高精度变形分析和预测.  相似文献

The effects of magnetic field annealing on the properties of Fe48Co52 alloy nanowire arrays with various interwire distances (Di=30-60 nm) and wire diameters (Dw=22-46 nm) were investigated in detail. It was found that the array's best annealing temperature and crys- talline structure did not show any apparent dependence on the treatment of applying a 3 kOe magnetic field along the wire during the annealing process. For arrays with small Dw or with large Di, the treatment of magnetic field annealing also had no obvious influence on their magnetic performances. However, such a magnetic field annealing constrained the shift of the easy magnetization direction and improved the coercivity and the squareness obviously for arrays with large Dw or with small Di. The difference in the intensity of the effective anisotropic field within the arrays was believed to be responsible for this different variation of the array's magnetic properties after magnetic field annealing.  相似文献
