Solid-phase oxidative halodecarboxylation of β-arylacrylic acids with the ceric ammonium nitrate—alkali halide system

The solid-phase oxidation of cinnamic, 4-methoxy- and 3,4-dimethoxycinnamic acids with Ce(NH₄)₂(NO₃)₆—MHal system leads to β-halostyrenes. Similar procedure in the absence of a metal halide results in a cleavage of the C=C bond giving the corresponding benzaldehydes. Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. Instrumental neutron activation analysis of mass fractions of toxic metals in plastic

It is very challenging to decompose a plastic product for the purpose of analysis of hazardous elements contained. To circumvent such technical problem, it is imperative that an analyst employ a nondestructive analytical method free of any pretreatments. The analytical results of the concentrations of toxic metals such as Cd and Cr in polypropylene for seven samples at two different levels were obtained using the instrumental neutron activation analysis. This work was intended ultimately to establish certified reference materials (CRMs) of these metals in the polypropylene, traceable to the SI. The uncertainties associated with the analytical procedures were estimated in accordance with the ISO guideline. The results were subsequently validated by a comparison with those for CRM-680 and −681 of the Bureau Communautaire de Reference (BCR), which demonstrated acceptable agreement within their uncertainty ranges.     

13.5—14.6MeV中子能区锗的同位素反应截面的测量

报道了在13.5—14.6MeV中子能区用活化法测得的⁷⁶Ge(n,2n)⁷⁵Ge, ⁷⁰Ge(n,2n)⁶⁹Ge, ⁷⁰Ge(n, p)⁷⁰Ga, ⁷²Ge(n,p)⁷²Ga, ⁷³Ge(n,p)⁷³Ga, ⁷²Ge(n,α)^69mZn和⁷⁴Ge(n, α)^71mZn的反应截面值. 中子注量用⁹³Nb(n,2n)^92mNb反应截面得到. 单能中子由T(d,n)⁴He反应获得. 同时还列举了已收集到的文献值以作比较.     

纳米碳酸锌的制备和热分解动力学参数的测定

Nanosized zinc carbonate was prepared in the droplet of nano-reactor based on microemusion. The influences of the concentration of the surfactant and reactant on the diameter of nanoparticles were studied and the kinetic pa-rameters of thermal decomposition reaction were determined. It can be shown from experimental results， the di-ameter of the droplet in the microemulsion which have dissolved reactant zinc nitrate and sal volatile is between 4.9nm and 7.7nm， 6.2nm and 12.4nm， respectively. Nanosized zinc carbonate prepared by the method of mi-croemusion has shown good dispersion， narrow distribution and light agglomeration. The particle size of nanosized zinc carbonate is between 5nm and 40nm， and its kinetic parameters of thermal decomposition reaction-activation energy E and reaction order n are 110kJ·mol^-1 and 0.9， respectively.     

Spectral studies of bridged bisindenylmetallocenes and products of their reactions with polymethylalumoxane in toluene and dichloromethane in the visible region

Quantitative characteristics of changes in the energy of charge transfer from -bonded ligands to metal are presented for the series of structurally similar ansa-metallocene complexes of IVB Group elements. The changes are caused by the solvation effect, replacement of -bonded chlorine ligands by methyl groups and of bridging ethylene groups by dimethylsilylene moieties, introduction of the methyl substituent into position 2 and phenyl substituent into position 4 of the indenyl system, variation of the transition metal in metallocene, and formation of complexes with polymethylalumoxane (MAO) at different Al_MAO/Zr ratios. These effects are found to be additive.     

Reactivity of stable neopentyl-Pd intermediates in the absence of nucleophile

In the absence of any trapping agent, stable neopentyl-Pd intermediates can terminate a catalytic cycle by undergoing a regioselective C-H activation, leading to various spiro or fused cyclopropane derivatives in a straightforward manner. If the neopentyl-Pd intermediate contains a heteroatom at a suitable position, C-H activation does not occur and stable palladacycles are isolated.     

溶胶－凝胶法制备Na_5YSi_4O_（12）及其离子导电性质

用溶胶－凝胶方法制备了钠快离子导体Ｎａ_５ＹＳｉ_４Ｏ_（１２）（简称ＮＹＳ）的纯相，应用交流阻抗谱技术测定了样品的离子电导和离子导电活化能，用扫描电子显微镜对用不同方法制备的样品烧结体表面进行了观察。与传统固相反应法制备的ＮＹＳ离子导体相比，用溶胶－凝胶方法制备的ＮＹＳ烧结体具有较好的界面效应。     

RuO<Subscript>2</Subscript>–TiO<Subscript>2</Subscript> mixed oxide composite coating for improvement of Al-alloy sacrificial anodes

It has been recently proved that RuO₂ can act as an effective surface activator of aluminum alloy sacrificial anodes. TiO₂ has the property of stabilizing RuO₂ coating and resisting biofouling on metal surfaces. Hence, a mixed oxide catalytic coating of TiO₂ and RuO₂ can enhance the galvanic performance of aluminum alloy sacrificial anodes and resists biofouling on the anode surface. In the present work RuO₂–TiO₂ mixed oxide was coated on aluminum alloy sacrificial anodes. The large and uniform porous nature of the coating was found to facilitate efficient ion diffusion. The coating was found to persist on the anode even after 3 months of galvanic exposure. The anode having an optimum combination of the mixed oxide had 70% TiO₂ as the major component in the coating. The catalytic coating significantly improved the performance of the anodes to a large extent.     

Diffusion in organic solvents: Interdiffusion coefficient of 1,1,2,2-tetrabromoethane

Interdiffusion coefficient have been measured for 1,1,2,2-tetrabromoethane in 21 organic solvents in order to ascertain the influence of shape, size, viscosity, nature and degree of branching, of the solvent molecules on transport properties. None of the existing correlations for diffusion in binary liquid systems appear to fit all the experimental data. Steric effects due to the solvent molecules are shown to be very important in the interpretation of the diffusion process.
