Extended multiplicative signal correction (EMSC) is a widely used preprocessing technique in infrared spectroscopy. EMSC is a model-based method favored for its flexibility and versatility. The model can be extended by adding constituent spectra to explicitly model-known analytes or interferents. This paper addresses the use of constituent spectra and demonstrates common pitfalls. It clarifies the difference between analyte and interferent spectra, and the importance of orthogonality between model spectra. Different normalization approaches are discussed, and the importance of weighting in the EMSC is demonstrated. The paper illustrates how constituent analyte spectra can be estimated, and how they can be used to extract additional information from spectral features. It is shown that the EMSC parameters can be used in both regression tasks and segmentation tasks. 相似文献

After identifying the main characteristics and prospects of nanotechnology as an emerging technology, the paper presents the general risks associated with nanotechnology applications and the deficits of the risk governance process today, concluding with recommendations to governments, industry, international organizations and other stakeholders. The International Risk Governance Council (IRGC) has identified a governance gap between the requirements pertaining to the nano- rather than the micro-/macro- technologies. The novel attributes of nanotechnology demand different routes for risk-benefit assessment and risk management, and at present, nanotechnology innovation proceeds ahead of the policy and regulatory environment. In the shorter term, the governance gap is significant for those passive nanostructures that are currently in production and have high exposure rates; and is especially significant for the several ‘active’ nanoscale structures and nanosystems that we can expect to be on the market in the near future. Active nanoscale structures and nanosystems have the potential to affect not only human health and the environment but also aspects of social lifestyle, human identity and cultural values. The main recommendations of the report deal with selected higher risk nanotechnology applications, short- and long-term issues, and global models for nanotechnology governance. 相似文献

Photonic generation of microwave signals using dual-wavelength single-longitudinal-mode fiber lasers
Photonic generation of microwave signals is demonstrated with a dual-wavelength single-longitudinal-mode erbium-doped fiber ring laser. Microwave signal with a frequency of 21.07 GHz is obtained by aligning the reflection band of a uniform fiber Bragg grating to the two transmission peaks within a fiber Bragg grating-based Fabry-Perot filter. Stable dual-wavelength single-longitudinal-mode operation is guaranteed by means of the combined filtering effect of a saturable absorber and the Fabry-Perot filter. This approach provides an effective solution to the photonic generation of high-frequency microwave signals. 相似文献

It is known that the algebra of Schur operators on ?2 (namely operators bounded on both ?1 and ?∞) is not inverse-closed. When ?2=?2(X) where X is a metric space, one can consider elements of the Schur algebra with certain decay at infinity. For instance if X has the doubling property, then Q. Sun has proved that the weighted Schur algebra Aω(X) for a strictly polynomial weight ω is inverse-closed. In this paper, we prove a sharp result on left-invertibility of the these operators. Namely, if an operator A∈Aω(X) satisfies ‖Afp‖?‖fp‖, for some 1?p?∞, then it admits a left-inverse in Aω(X). The main difficulty here is to obtain the above inequality in ?2. The author was both motivated and inspired by a previous work of Aldroubi, Baskarov and Krishtal (2008) [1], where similar results were obtained through different methods for X=Zd, under additional conditions on the decay. 相似文献

It is well known that if rt log t → 0 as t → ∞ or if Σr2t<∞, then the limiting distribution is the same as for a sequence of independent normal variables. Here it is shown that this also follows from a weaker condition, which only puts a restriction on the number of t-values for which rt log t islarge. Based on the Rayleigh diffraction integral and complex analytical signal representation, the free-space analytical propagation equation and its Fourier spectrum for ultrashort chirped pulsed Gaussian beams with constant diffraction length are derived. The effect of chirp parameter on the spatiotemporal and spectral properties is illustrated with analytical formulas and numerical calculation results. It is shown that the axial spectra of ultrashort chirped pulsed Gaussian beams become broadened with increasing chirp parameter. For single optical cycle, the transversal intensity distribution is affected by increasing chirp parameter, but almost not affected for several optical cycles. Moreover, the positive or negative sign of the chirp parameter has no effect on the spectral distribution and intensity distribution. 相似文献

DNA release electrochemically stimulated by applying ?10 mV on the modified electrode was studied. The release process was based on the local (interfacial) pH change produced upon H2O2 reduction electrocatalyzed by the immobilized microperoxidase‐11. SiO2 nanoparticles attached to the electrode surface and functionalized with trigonelline and boronic acid species changed their electrical charge from positive to negative upon the interfacial pH change, thus allowing electrostatic adsorption of negatively charged DNA on the positive interface and then its repulsion/release from the negative interface. The loaded/released DNA molecules were labeled with a fluorescent dye to allow easy detection of the released DNA molecules.
