Embedded design based virtual instrument program for positron beam automation

Automation of positron beam experiment with a single chip embedded design using a programmable system on chip (PSoC) which provides easy interfacing of the high-voltage DC power supply is reported. Virtual Instrument (VI) control program written in Visual Basic 6.0 ensures the following functions (i) adjusting of sample high voltage by interacting with the programmed PSoC hardware, (ii) control of personal computer (PC) based multi channel analyzer (MCA) card for energy spectroscopy, (iii) analysis of the obtained spectrum to extract the relevant line shape parameters, (iv) plotting of relevant parameters and (v) saving the file in the appropriate format. The present study highlights the hardware features of the PSoC hardware module as well as the control of MCA and other units through programming in Visual Basic.     

On the Analysis of the Virtual Waiting Time in Open Queueing Networks

The model of an open queueing network in heavy traffic has been developed. These models are mathematical models of computer networks in heavy traffic. A limit theorem has been presented for the virtual waiting time of a customer in heavy traffic in open queueing networks. Finally, we present an application of the theorem—a reliability model from computer network practice.     

Multijunction solar cell design revisited: disruption of current matching by atmospheric absorption bands

This paper re‐examines the impact of atmospheric absorption bands on series‐connected multijunction cell design, motivated by the numerous local efficiency maxima that appear as the number of junctions is increased. Some of the local maxima are related to the bottom subcell bandgap and are already well understood: As the bottom subcell bandgap is varied, a local efficiency maximum is produced wherever the bottom cell bandgap crosses an atmospheric absorption band. The optimal cell designs at these local maxima are generally current matched, such that all subcells have nearly the same short‐circuit current. Here, we systematically describe additional local maxima that occur wherever an upper subcell bandgap encounters an atmospheric absorption band. These local maxima are not current matched and become more prevalent as the number of junctions increases, complicating the solution space for five‐junction and six‐junction designs. A systematic framework for describing this complexity is developed, and implications for numerical convergence are discussed. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

In this paper,we first consider the position restriction scheduling problems on a single machine.The problems have been solved in certain special cases,especially for those obtained by restricting the processing time pj=1.We introduce the bipartite matching algorithm to provide some polynomial-time algorithms to solve them.Then we further consider a problem on unrelated processors.     

离散几何的两个铺砌问题

利用图论和代数的方法研究离散几何中的两个铺砌问题:1)给出1×2长方形铺砌多米诺骨牌的充分必要条件;2)对高维空间盒子的情形,给出m_1×m_2×…×m_n砖能够铺砌a_1×a_2×…×a_n盒子的一些必要条件和充要条件.

化学化工虚拟仿真实验教学平台的建设与应用

Virtual simulation teaching is a new type of teaching mode in recent years, which is a fusion of multiple disciplines, multiple regions and multi-level laboratory teaching methods. Taking virtual simulation experiment platform construction of chemical engineering in Tianjin University as an example, this paper introduces the chemical safety knowledge, the integration of theoretical knowledge, the experimental content, the specific content of virtual simulation resources, and the characteristic of virtual simulation experiment platform. This platform provides a new model of efficient combination of virtual simulation resources and traditional teaching resources, which promotes the development of chemical laboratory teaching.     

利用组件技术实现基于器官装配的虚拟作物

文章将组件技术引入虚拟作物的构建过程,给出了虚拟作物器官的组件模型以及构建基于该组件模型的组件装配工具的方法和步骤.同时给出了一种基于生长点的作物器官组件对象生长依赖关系建立方法,最终利用这一方法将作物器官组件对象装配成完整的虚拟作物.
