A Markovian approach to analyze different states of the superficial vesical carcinoma is considered, taking into account up to two recurrences and the possibility of progression. So, three transient states are considered: free of disease, first, and second recurrence; and an absorbent state, the progression. A methodology based in phase-type distributions is also used, that allows the usual quantities of interest in survival studies to be expressed in a well-structured form. This type of distribution has shown its utility in queue theory, and has the advantage that mathematical expressions can be presented in a closed form that allows algebraic treatment.  相似文献

We present the thermoelectric and superconducting properties of the bulk misfit-layered (SnSe)1.17(TaSe2) compound with the critical temperature (Tc ~ 3.8 K). From XRD and electrical resistivity, the anisotropic properties of the misfit-layered compound by the preferred orientation were observed. The zero-temperature-limit upper critical field Hc2(0) and coherence length ξ are obtained by Hc2(0) = 8.94 T and ξ = 6.1 nm. The electron-phonon coupling constant (λe-p = 0.735) and the specific heat jump (ΔCe/γTc ~ 1.4) imply that the (SnSe)1.17(TaSe2) compound is a weak coupled conventional s-wave superconductor. Density functional theory (DFT) calculation results show that some electronic charge transfers from the SnSe layers into the TaSe2 layers. In addition, the thermoelectric properties of the bulk misfit-layered (SnSe)1.17(TaSe2) compound show significant anisotropic properties.  相似文献

Layered transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) are a diverse group of materials whose properties vary from semiconducting to metallic with a variety of many body phenomena, ranging from charge density wave (CDW), superconductivity, to Mott-insulators. Recent interest in topologically protected states revealed also that some TMDs host bulk Dirac- or Wyle-semimetallic states and their corresponding surface states. In this review, we focus on the synthesis of TMDs by vacuum processes, such as molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). After an introduction of these preparation methods and categorize the basic electronic properties of TMDs, we address the characterization of vacuum synthesized materials in their ultrathin limit-mainly as a single monolayer material. Scanning tunneling microscopy and angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy has revealed detailed information on how monolayers differ in their properties from multi-layer and bulk materials. The status of monolayer properties is given for the TMDs, where data are available. Distinct modifications of monolayer properties compared to their bulk counterparts are highlighted. This includes the well-known transition from indirect to direct band gap in semiconducting group VI-B TMDs as the material-thickness is reduced to a single molecular layer. In addition, we discuss the new or modified CDW states in monolayer VSe2 and TiTe2, a Mott-insulating state in monolayer 1T-TaSe2, and the monolayer specific 2D topological insulator 1T′-WTe2, which gives rise to a quantum spin Hall insulator. New structural phases, that do not exist in the bulk, may be synthesized in the monolayer by MBE. These phases have special properties, including the Mott insulator 1T-NbSe2, the 2D topological insulators of 1T′-MoTe2, and the CDW material 1T-VTe2. After discussing the pure TMDs, we report the properties of nanostructured or modified TMDs. Edges and mirror twin grain boundaries (MTBs) in 2D materials are 1D structures. In group VI-B semiconductors, these 1D structures may be metallic and their properties obey Tomonaga Luttinger quantum liquid behavior. Formation of Mo-rich MTBs in Mo-dichalcogenides and self-intercalation in between TMD-layers are discussed as potential compositional variants that may occur during MBE synthesis of TMDs or may be induced intentionally during post-growth modifications. In addition to compositional modifications, phase switching and control, in particular between the 1H and 1T (or 1T′) phases, is a recurring theme in TMDs. Methods of phase control by tuning growth conditions or by post-growth modifications, e.g. by electron doping, are discussed. The properties of heterostructures of TMD monolayers are also introduced, with a focus on lateral electronic modifications in the moiré-structures of group VI-B TMDs. The lateral potential induced in the moiré structures forms the basis of the currently debated moiré-excitons. Finally, we review a few cases of molecular adsorption on nanostructured monolayer TMDs. This review is intended to present a comprehensive overview of vacuum studies of fundamental materials' properties of TMDs and should complement the investigations on TMDs prepared by exfoliation or chemical vapor deposition and their applications.  相似文献

Scientific interest in atomically controlled layer-by-layer fabrication of transition metal oxide thin films and heterostructures has increased intensely in recent decades for basic physics reasons as well as for technological applications. This trend has to do, in part, with the coming post-Moore era, and functional oxide electronics could be regarded as a viable alternative for the current semiconductor electronics. Furthermore, the interface of transition metal oxides is exposing many new emergent phenomena and is increasingly becoming a playground for testing new ideas in condensed matter physics. To achieve high quality epitaxial thin films and heterostructures of transition metal oxides with atomically controlled interfaces, one critical requirement is the use of atomically flat single terminated oxide substrates since the atomic arrangements and the reaction chemistry of the topmost surface layer of substrates determine the growth and consequent properties of the overlying films. Achieving the atomically flat and chemically single terminated surface state of commercially available substrates, however, requires judicious efforts because the surface of as-received substrates is of chemically mixed nature and also often polar. In this review, we summarize the surface treatment procedures to accomplish atomically flat surfaces with single terminating layer for various metal oxide substrates. We particularly focus on the substrates with lattice constant ranging from 4.00 Å to 3.70 Å, as the lattice constant of most perovskite materials falls into this range. For materials outside the range, one can utilize the substrates to induce compressive or tensile strain on the films and explore new states not available in bulk. The substrates covered in this review, which have been chosen with commercial availability and, most importantly, experimental practicality as a criterion, are KTaO3, REScO3 (RE = Rare-earth elements), SrTiO3, La0.18Sr0.82Al0.59Ta0.41O3 (LSAT), NdGaO3, LaAlO3, SrLaAlO4, and YAlO3. Analyzing all the established procedures, we conclude that atomically flat surfaces with selective A- or B-site single termination would be obtained for most commercially available oxide substrates. We further note that this topmost surface layer selectivity would provide an additional degree of freedom in searching for unforeseen emergent phenomena and functional applications in epitaxial oxide thin films and heterostructures with atomically controlled interfaces.  相似文献

In this paper, we present transition probabilities for 97 spectral lines of Sn I, corresponding to transitions n(n = 6,7,8)s → 5p2, n(n = 5,6,7)d → 5p2, 5p3 → 5p2, n(n = 7)p → 6s, determined by measuring the intensities of the emission lines of a Laser-induced breakdown (emission) spectrometry (LIBS). The optical emission spectroscopy from a laser-induced plasma generated by a 10 640 Å radiation, with an irradiance of 1.4 × 1010 Wcm− 2 on an Sn–Pb alloy (an Sn content of approximately 20%), in vacuum, was recorded at 0.8 µs, and analysed between 1900 and 7000 Å. The population-level distribution and corresponding temperature were obtained using Boltzmann plots. The electron density of the plasma was determined using well-known Stark broadening parameters of spectral lines. The plasma under study had an electron temperature of 13,200 K and an electron number density of 2 × 1016 cm− 3. The experimental relative transition probabilities were put on an absolute scale using the branching ratio method to calculate Sn I multiplet transition probabilities from available radiative lifetime data of their upper states and plotting the Sn I emission spectrum lines on a Boltzmann plot assuming local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE) to be valid and following Boltzmann's law. The LTE conditions and plasma homogeneity have been checked. Special attention was paid to the possible self-absorption of the different transitions. The experimental results obtained have been compared with the experimental values given by other authors.  相似文献

The relative intensities of several hundred emission lines of Yb II between 200 nm and 900 nm were obtained with the use of ferroelectric plasma source. These relative intensities obtained for lines from 21 energy levels have been used to determine the line branching fractions, which have then been combined with accurate experimental radiative lifetime measurements to give absolute transition probabilities for 111 Yb II lines. The obtained values were compared with theoretical and experimental data taken from available literature.  相似文献

The synthesis of a unique series of heteromultinuclear transition metal compounds is reported. Complexes 1‐I‐3‐Br‐5‐(FcC≡C)‐C6H3 ( 4 ), 1‐Br‐3‐(bpy‐C≡C)‐5‐(FcC≡C)‐C6H3 ( 6 ), 1,3‐(bpy‐C≡C)2‐5‐(FcC≡C)‐C6H3 ( 7 ), 1‐(XC≡C)‐3‐(bpy‐C≡C)‐5‐(FcC≡C)‐C6H3 ( 8 , X = SiMe3; 9 , X = H), 1‐(HC≡C)‐3‐[(CO)3ClRe(bpy‐C≡C)]‐5‐(FcC≡C)‐C6H3 ( 11 ), 1‐[(Ph3P)AuC≡C]‐3‐[(CO)3ClRe(bpy‐C≡C)]‐5‐(FcC≡C)‐C6H3 ( 13 ), 1‐[(Ph3P)AuC≡C]‐3‐(bpy‐C≡C)‐5‐(FcC≡C)‐C6H3 ( 14 ), [1‐[(Ph3PAuC≡C]‐3‐[{[Ti](C≡CSiMe3)2}Cu(bpy‐C≡C)]‐5‐(FcC≡C)‐C6H3]PF6 ( 16 ), and [1,3‐[(tBu2bpy)2Ru(bpy‐C≡C)]2‐5‐(FcC≡C)‐C6H3](PF6)4 ( 18 ) (Fc = (η5‐C5H4)(η5‐C5H5)Fe, bpy = 2,2′‐bipyridiyl‐5‐yl, [Ti] = (η5‐C5H4SiMe3)2Ti) were prepared by using consecutive synthesis methodologies including metathesis, desilylation, dehydrohalogenation, and carbon–carbon cross‐coupling reactions. In these complexes the corresponding metal atoms are connected by carbon‐rich bridging units comprising 1,3‐diethynyl‐, 1,3,5‐triethynylbenzene and bipyridyl units. They were characterized by elemental analysis, IR and NMR spectroscopy, and partly by ESI‐TOF mass spectrometry., The structures of 4 and 11 in the solid state are reported. Both molecules are characterized by the central benzene core bridging the individual transition metal complex fragments. The corresponding acetylide entities are, as typical, found in a linear arrangement with representative M–C, C–CC≡C and C≡C bond lengths.  相似文献

Preparation of some novel symmetrically tetrasubstituted metal-free phthalocyanine (6) and metallophthalocyanines (7-10) containing four 18-membered tetrathiadiaza macrocycles moieties on peripheral positions has been achieved by cyclotetramerization reaction of phthalonitrile derivative (5) in a multi-step reaction sequence. Metal-free phthalocyanine (6) was synthesized by microwave irradiation of 13,24-bis[(4-methylphenyl)sulfonyl]-6,7,14,15,23,24-hexahydro-13H,22H-tribenzo[b,h,n][1,4,10,13,7,16]tetrathiadiazacyclo-octadecine-18,19-dicarbonitrile (5) in 2-(dimethylamino)ethanol. The metallophthalocyanines (7-10) were prepared by the reaction of the phthalonitrile compound (5) with NiCl2, Zn(CH3COO)2, CoCl2, CuCl2 salts, respectively, by microwave irradiation in 2-(dimethylamino)ethanol for at 175 °C, 350 W. The new compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, UV-Vis, elemental analysis and MS spectra data.  相似文献

χ-, κ- and α-alumina phases formed by dehydration of micro-grained gibbsite between 773 and 1573 K are studied using infrared spectroscopy (IR). The structural transitions evidenced by X-ray diffraction (XRD) were interpreted by comparing IR measurements with ab initio simulations (except for the χ form whose complexity does not allow a reliable simulation). For each phase, IR spectrum presents specific bands corresponding to transverse optical (TO) modes of Al-O stretching and bending under 900 cm−1. The very complex χ phase, obtained at 773 K, provides a distinctive XRD pattern in contrast with the IR absorbance appearing as a broad structure extending between 200 and 900 cm−1 resembling the equivalent spectra for γ-alumina phase. κ-alumina is forming at 1173 K and its rich IR spectrum is in good qualitative agreement with ab initio simulations. This complexity reflects the large number of atoms in the κ-alumina unit cell and the wide range of internuclear distances as well as the various coordinances of both Al and O atoms. Ab initio simulations suggest that this form of transition alumina demonstrates a strong departure from the simple pattern observed for other transition alumina. At 1573 K, the stable α-Αl2Ο3 develops. Its IR spectra extends in a narrower energy range as compared to transition alumina and presents characteristics features similar to model α-Αl2Ο3Ab initio calculations show again a very good general agreement with the observed IR spectra for this phase. In addition, for both κ- and α-Αl2Ο3, extra modes, measured at high energy (above 790 cm−1 for κ and above 650 cm−1 for α), can originate from either remnant χ-alumina or from surface modes.  相似文献

The semirigid tridentate 8-(2-pyridinylmethylthio)quinoline ligand (Q1) is shown to form the structurally characterized transition metal complexes [Cu(Q1)Cl2] (1), [Co(Q1)(NO3)2] (2), [Cd(Q1)(NO3)2] (3), [Cd(Q1)I2] (4). [Cu(Q1)2](BF4)2·(H2O)2 (5), [Cu(Q1)2](ClO4)2·(CH3COCH3)2 (6), [Zn(Q1)2](ClO4)2(H2O)2 (7), [Cd2(Q1)2Br4] (8), [Ag2(Q1)2(ClO4)2] (9), and [Ag2(Q1)2(NO3)2] (10). Four types of structures have been observed: ML-type in complexes 14, in which the anions Cl, NO3 or I also participate in the coordination; ML2 type in complexes 57 without direct coordination of the anions BF4 or ClO4 and with more (Cu2+) or less (Zn2+) distorted bis-fac coordinated Q1; M2L2-type in complex 8, in which two Br ions act as bridges between two metal ions; and M2(μ-L)2-type in complexes 9 and 10, in which the ligand bridges two anion binding and Ag–Ag bonded ions. Depending on electron configuration and size, different coordination patterns are observed with the bonds from the metal ions to Npyridyl longer or shorter than those to Nquinoline. Typically Q1 acts as a facially coordinating tridentate chelate ligand except for the compounds 9 and 10 with low-coordinate silver(I). Except for 6 and 8, the complexes exhibit distinct constraining effects against both G(+) and G(-) bacteria. Complexes 1, 3, 4, 5, 7 have considerable antifungal activities and complexes 1, 5, 7, and 10 show selective effects to restrain certain botanic bacteria. Electrochemical studies show quasi-reversible reduction behavior for the copper(II) complexes 1, 5 and 6.  相似文献
