In this paper, we consider a resource allocation scheme for millimeter wave–based wireless personal area networks using directional antennas. This scheme involves scheduling the reservation period of medium access control for IEEE 802.15.3c. Objective functions are considered to minimize the average delay and maximize throughput; and two scheduling algorithms—namely, MInMax concurrent transmission and MAxMin concurrent transmission—are proposed to provide a suboptimal solution to each objective function. These are based on an exclusive region and two decision rules that determine the length of reservation times and the transmission order of groups. Each group consists of flows that are concurrently transmittable via spatial reuse. The algorithms appropriately apply two decision rules according to their objectives. A real video trace is used for the numerical results, which show that the proposed algorithms satisfy their objectives. They outperform other schemes on a range of measures, showing the effect of using a directional antenna. The proposed scheme efficiently supports variable bit rate traffic during the reservation period, reducing resource waste. 相似文献

In a data center network(DCN),load balancing is required when servers transfer data on the same path.This is necessary toavoid congestion.Load balancing is challenged by the dynamic transferral of demands and complex routing control.Because ofthe distributed nature of a traditional network,previous research on load balancing has mostly focused on improving the perfor-mance of the local network;thus,the load has not been optimally balanced across the entire network.In this paper,we propose anovel dynamic load-balancing algorithm for fat-tree.This algorithm avoids congestions to the great possible extent by searching fornon-conflicting paths in a centralized way.We implement the algorithm in the popular software-defined networking architectureand evaluate the algorithm’s performance on the Mininet platform.The results show that our algorithm has higher bisection band-width than the traditional equal-cost multi-path load-balancing algorithm and thus more effectively avoids congestion. 相似文献

The analytical and monitoring capabilities of central event repositories, such as log servers and intrusion detection systems, are limited by the amount of structured information extracted from the events they receive. Diverse networks and applications log their events in many different formats, and this makes it difficult to identify the type of logs being received by the central repository. The way events are logged by IT systems is problematic for developers of host-based intrusiondetection systems(specifically, host-based systems), developers of security-information systems, and developers of eventmanagement systems. These problems preclude the development of more accurate, intrusive security solutions that obtain results from data included in the logs being processed. We propose a new method for dynamically normalizing events into a unified super- event that is loosely based on the Common Event Expression standard developed by Mitre Corporation.We explain how our solution can normalize seemingly unrelated events into a single, unified format. 相似文献

In order to achieve fine-grained access control in cloud computing, existing digital rights management (DRM) schemes adopt attribute-based encryption as the main encryption primitive. However, these schemes suffer from inefficiency and cannot support dynamic updating of usage rights stored in the cloud. In this paper, we propose a novel DRM scheme with secure key management and dynamic usage control in cloud computing. We present a secure key management mechanism based on attribute-based encryption and proxy re-encryption. Only the users whose attributes satisfy the access policy of the encrypted content and who have effective usage rights can be able to recover the content encryption key and further decrypt the content. The attribute based mechanism allows the content provider to selectively provide fine-grained access control of contents among a set of users, and also enables the license server to implement immediate attribute and user revocation. Moreover, our scheme supports privacy-preserving dynamic usage control based on additive homomorphic encryption, which allows the license server in the cloud to update the users' usage rights dynamically without disclosing the plaintext.
