Alkylation of 6-(3-Indolyl)indolo[2,3-b]carbazole

The methylation and allylation of 6-(3-indolyl)indolo[2,3-b]carbazole were studied, and its trimethyl and mono-, di-, and triallyl derivatives were obtained.     

Total synthesis of 3,3′:4′,3″-ter-1,2,5-thiadiazole using a synthetic utility of S4N4·SbCl5 complex

3,3′:4′,3″-Ter-1,2,5-thiadiazole, an useful oligoheterocyclic compound, has been accomplished in seven steps from 1-(5-methyl-3-isoxazolyl)ethanone or diethyl acetylenedicarboxylate using a synthetic utility of tetrasulfur tetranitride antimony pentachloride (S₄N₄·SbCl₅) complex to make a 1,2,5-thiadiazole ring.     

Interaction of (1-phenylethyl)indole-2-carbonitrile with C-nucleophiles

Methods of obtaining ketones and enamino esters have been developed on the basis of reactions of 1-(1-phenylethyl)indole-2-carbonitrile with organomagnesium and organozinc compounds. 3,5-diBr-PADAP作锆(Ⅳ)显色剂的分光光度法研究与应用

本文研究了在非离子表面活性剂存在下,用3,5-diBr-PADAP作锆显色剂的胶束增溶分光光度法。在pH1.0～2.0的HCl介质中,配合物吸光度最大且稳定,最大吸收值在610nm处。Zr(Ⅳ)与试剂形成1:2的配合物,摩尔吸光系数为1.10×10~5L·mol~(-1)·cm~(-1),zr(Ⅳ)量在0～30μg/25mL范围内遵守比尔定律。采用钽试剂一苯苹取分离法,适合于钽铌矿中微量锆的测定。     

Investigation of the phosphinyl analog of α-ketoglutaric acid

It was shown by³¹P and¹³C NMR spectroscopy that methyl(3-carboxy-3-oxopropyl)phosphinic acid (4-methylhydroxyphosphinyl-2-oxobutyric acid) (1) and the amide (2) of the latter exist in keto forms in non-aqueous solutions. In aqueous solutions an equilibrium between the keto,gem-diol, and enol forms has been observed. The proportions of the diol and enol forms increase as the acidity of the media increases. Silylation of acid 1 with hexamethyldisilazane gives the tris(trimethylsilyl) derivative of enol form (3) (Z- andE-isomers).Translated fromIzyestiya Akadetnii Nauk. The Formation of C?C Bonds with the Aid of α-Halogeno Ethers,Sulfides, and Amines

α-Halogeno ethers, sulfides, and amines are reactive compounds which can be used for the formation of new C? C bonds, either as nucleophilic or as electrophilic reagents, or by α-elimination. The use of these compounds in the synthesis of many classes of organic compounds is reviewed.     

Substituted pyrazine-di-N-oxides as the mediators of catalytic oxidation of organic compounds

The mechanism of oxidation of 2,5-dimethyl-, 2,3,5,6-tetramethyl-, 2,3-dimethyl-5,6-cyclohexa, and 3-phenyl-5,6-cyclohexapyrazine-di-N-oxides is studied by cyclic voltammetry, quantum chemical simulations, and ESR electrolysis. The studies are carried out on electrodes of glassy carbon and Pt in 0.1 M LiClO₄ solutions in acetonitrile. ESR spectra of radical cations of substituted pyrazine-di-N-oxides are recorded. The effects of the temperature, oxygen, and the additions of water, pyridine, and acid on the shape of cyclic voltamograms and the intensity of ESR signals of pyrazine-di-N-oxides are studied. A quantum-chemical simulation of the reaction of pyrazine-di-N-oxide radical cations with acetonitrile is carried out. The oxidation of substituted pyrazine-di-N-oxides is described by the E₁C₁E₂C₂ mechanism, which includes the stage of the formation of a complex between the di-N-oxide radical cation and acetonitrile.     

Synthesis and reactivity of thieno[2,3-<Emphasis Type="Italic">b</Emphasis>]pyridine-2,3-diamines

It has been established that the interaction of N¹-(2-hydroxyphenylmethylthieno[2,3-b]pyrid-3-yl)arylamides with hydrazine hydrate leads to thieno[2,3-b]pyridine-2,3-diamines. It was shown that the reaction of the latter with acetylacetone and acetoacetic ester occurs regioselectively at the amino group in position 3 of the thiophene ring. __________ Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 9, pp. 1400–1408, September, 2007.     

4-Hydroxy-2-quinolones 120. Synthesis and structure of ethyl 2-hydroxy-4-oxo-4H-pyrido-[1,2-a]pyrimidine-3-carboxylate

An improved method for the preparation and purification of ethyl 2-hydroxy-4-oxo-4H-pyrido[1,2-a]-pyrimidine-3-carboxylates is proposed. According to ¹H and ¹³C NMR spectroscopic data the synthesized compounds exist in DMSO solution in the 2-hydroxy-4-oxo form while in the crystal (at least for the case of the unsubstituted derivative) X-ray analysis shows that it occurs in the bipolar 2,4-dioxo form. __________ Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 6, pp. 864–876, June, 2007.     

Functionalized naphthol[2,3-h] quinoline-7,12-diones

The addition of secondary and primary amines to ethyl (1-amino-9,10-anthraquinon-2-yl)propynoate affords an easily separable mixture of the corresponding ethyl 3-dialkylaminoor 3-alkylamino-3-(1-amino-9,10-anthraquinon-2-yl)acrylate and 3-dialkylamino- or 3-alkylaminonaphthol[2,3-h]quinoline-2(1H), 7,12-trione (in ∼4: 1 ratio). Intramolecular cyclization of the resulting substituted ethyl acrylates results in the formation of 4-dialkylaminoor 4-alkylamino-2-chlorinated pyridine rings. Subsequent nucleophilic substitution of the chlorine atom gives 2-functionalized 4-dialkylamino- or 4-alkylaminonaphtho[2,3-h]quinoline-7,12-diones. Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk.
