Polymerization of N-Phenylcyclosilazoxanes

Anionic polymerization of six-membered N-phenylcyclosil-azoxanes (I and II) was attempted, but only an equilibrium mixture of oligomeric cyclic and linear silazoxanes was formed. On the other hand, anionic copolymerization of the cyclosil-azoxanes with hexamethylcyclotrisiloxane in various proportions yielded high molecular weight polysilazoxanes. The polymers are viscous liquids of high thermal stability (up to 500° C).

The effect of bernard-marangoni convection on percolation threshold in amorphous polymer-multiwall carbon nanotube composites

The electrical conductivity of amorphous polymer/multiwall carbon nanotube (MWCNT) composite films strongly depends on the Bernard-Marangoni (B-M) instability during solvent evaporation. We demonstrate that the films exhibit the lowest surface resistivity and the highest light transmittance near the onset point of B-M instability. The polymer/MWCNT composite films exhibit three-dimensional behavior in spite of the B-M instability. The percolation threshold for PC/MWCNT composite films at stable, onset, and unstable condition is 3.3 × 10⁻³, 2.75 × 10⁻³, and 5.15 × 10⁻³ vol.%, respectively.

1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride assisted electrospinning of SAN/MWCNTs conductive reinforced composite membranes

The aim of this research was to investigate how the addition of IL [Bmim]Cl* and MWCNTs** into SAN*** solution will influence the viscosity and the electrical conductivity of the electrospinning solution and to find out the impact of IL and CNTs on the electrical and mechanical properties of the obtained membranes and on the morphology of the produced nanofibres. MWCNTs were added into two types of SAN solutions, with and without [Bmim]Cl, and then electrospinning was performed. All membranes were investigated by SEM analysis. The electrical conductivity and viscosity of the solutions were measured and their effect on the morphology of the fibres, as well as electrical and mechanical properties was estimated.     

Unusual Phase Separation Kinetics in Poly(Methyl Methacrylate)/Poly(Styrene-co-Acrylonitrile) (PMMA/SAN) Blends with PMMA of Different Molecular Weights

The influence of molecular weight of poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) on the thermodynamics and dynamics of phase separation in PMMA/poly (styrene-co-acrylonitrile) (SAN) blends was investigated via optical microscopy, time-resolved small-angle light scattering (SALS), and dynamic rheological measurements. It was found that the cloud point temperature of the blends decreased with an increase in the molecular weight of the PMMA. The phase separation rates of PMMA 48K/SAN and PMMA 85K/SAN blends with the near-critical composition were almost the same at small quench depths due to the limited mobility of molecular chains at low temperatures. However, an unexpected phase separation dynamics was observed at larger quench depths. Not only the morphology evolution but also the apparent diffusion coefficient D_app calculated from SALS revealed that the phase separation rate was faster in the PMMA 85K/SAN blend than in the PMMA 48K/SAN blend. The possible reasons for this unusual rapid kinetics of phase separation observed in the higher molecular weight blend were discussed in terms of molecular mobility and viscoelasticity.     

基于SAN的分布式卷管理架构及实现

随着SAN存储量的增长,提出了存储虚拟化的管理技术来解决存储管理、异步平台的数据共享、存储系统的可用性和可扩展性等方面的要求。文章主要探讨了存储虚拟化的分类,给出了一个基于SAN的分布式卷管理架构,该架构将操作系统中纵向虚拟存储管理概念扩展到不同磁盘、磁盘阵列的横向虚拟化管理,并在此架构下实现了分布式快照系统,该系统解决了海量数据备份时的I/O带宽问题。原型系统分析表明,新架构可以较好地解决分布式卷管理的问题,在实施数据迁移和数据拷贝时,实现海量数据瞬间完成与瞬间恢复。
