LuAG:Ce single crystals with various activator concentrations were grown by the vertical Bridgman technique. Characterization of crystals was done in terms of actual doping level, macroscopic defects and degree of non-equivalent substitutions by Lu for Al in octahedral lattice sites. Scintillation measurements were performed using 2×2×8 mm3 shaped samples with Ce concentration in the range 0.05–0.55 at%. Essential improvement of performance was demonstrated in samples containing ≥0.2 at% of Ce; the light yield measured in LuAG:Ce (0.55 at%) was about 26000 ph/MeV, or close to that of LSO. 相似文献

In this paper, we use the laminar viscous flow in a lid‐driven cavity as an example to describe and verify a numerical scheme for non‐linear partial differential equations. The proposed scheme combines a new analytical method for strongly non‐linear problems, namely the homotopy analysis method, with the multigrid techniques. A family of formulas at different orders is given. At the lowest order, the current approach is the same as the traditional multigrid methods. High-contrast imaging provided by a coronagraph is critical for the direction imaging of the Earth-like planet orbiting its
bright parent star. A major limitation for such direct imaging is the speckle noise that is induced from the wave-front error
of an optical system. We derive an algorithm for the wave-front measurement directly from 3 focal plane images. The 3 images
are achieved through a deformable mirror to provide specific phases for the optics system. We introduce an extra amplitude
modulation on one deformable mirror configuration to create an uncorrelated wave-front, which is a critical procedure for
wave-front sensing. The simulation shows that the reconstructed wave-front is consistent with the original wave-front theoretically,
which indicates that such an algorithm is a promising technique for the wave-front measurement for the high-contrast imaging.

We investigate oscillatory properties of half-linear differential equations. The investigated half-linear equation is viewed as a perturbation of another (nonoscillatory) equation of the same form and perturbation is allowed both in the absolute term and in the derivative term. First, the Sturmian type theorem for solutions of the associated Riccati equation is established. Clinical microdialysis (MD) is a minimally invasive sampling technique that offers selective in-vivo measurement of free, active drug or biomolecule concentrations in human tissues and organs. From a regulatory perspective, MD can thus be seen as a suitable scientific tool that meets regulatory requirements for the study of tissue distribution or bioequivalence during drug development. From a clinical perspective, the use of MD in different applications has shown the potential to rationalize drug-dosing regimens and to influence clinical decision-making, although validation and correlation of MD-derived results with clinical response are required to promote routine clinical use of the technique. From an analytical perspective, highly sensitive analytical systems have increasingly become available for MD-sample analysis, and these have further improved the quality and the power of MD-derived information. Given the constant development in recent years, MD data might become an important part of new drug submissions and clinical treatment algorithms, and might positively influence patient benefit in the future. 相似文献

The concept of k-admissible tracks in Shamir's secret sharing scheme over a finite field was introduced by Schinzel et al. (2009) [10]. Using some estimates for the elementary symmetric polynomials, we show that the track (1,…,n) over Fp is practically always k-admissible; i.e., the scheme allows to place the secret as an arbitrary coefficient of its generic polynomial even for relatively small p. Aluminium–steel friction welds (AlMgSi0.5/C35 and AlMgSi0.5/X5CrNi18‐10) were electrochemically investigated in a NaAc/HAc buffer (pH 5.9) and 0.1 mol/l NaCl using the microcapillary technique. This technique allows a lateral resolution of electrochemical measurements. However, microscopic investigations and scanning electron microscopy/energy dispersive X‐ray SEM/EDX measurements show that the reaction zone (RZ) and the heat affected zone (HAZ) of the welds are smaller than the microcapillary diameter. This paper discusses the advantages and limitations of the microcapillary technique in view of friction welds. Nevertheless, the electrochemical experiments allow a clear detection of the changing active surface area and the correlation to the microstructure (intermetallics). The application of microcapillary measurements on samples which were exposed in marine climate for 2 years shows a good correlation between the local potential measurements and the local corrosion phenomena.
