Norms of multiplication operators on Hardy spaces and weighted composition operators from Hardy spaces to weighted-type spaces on bounded symmetric domains

Let D be a bounded symmetric domain. We calculate operator norm of the multiplication operator on the Hardy space H^p(D), as well as of the weighted composition operator from H^p(D) to a weighted-type space.     

Asymptotic of extremal polynomials in the complex plane

We study the zero location and asymptotic zero distribution of sequences of polynomials which satisfy an extremal condition with respect to a norm given on the space of all polynomials.     

Enhancing language-responsive meaning-making processes as an epistemic catalyst for developing multiplicative reasoning in young children

Multiplicative reasoning involves the ability to coordinate bundled units on a more abstract level (“unitizing”; Lamon, 1994). As it is considered a “cutoff point” for students’ future mathematical learning, teachers must provide equitable access to mathematical conceptual understanding for all students on all mathematical achievement levels. The study presented in this paper investigates to what extent a preventive and a language-responsive instructional approach can have an effect on the outcome of students on different mathematical achievement levels. Three German second grade teachers introduced multiplication to students (n = 66, aged 7–8 years) in their classes using meaning-related phrases (e.g., “6 times 4 means 6 fours”), while teachers in the control group (n = 58) did not focus on using these phrases. Analyses of both a multiplication posttest and a follow-up test showed significant differences between the intervention and control groups on all achievement levels for both conceptual and procedural items.     

Products of multiplication composition and differentiation operators on weighted Bergman spaces

Let ψ be a holomorphic function on the open unit disk D and φ a holomorphic self-map of D. Let C_φ, M_ψ and D denote the composition, multiplication and differentiation operator, respectively. We consider linear operators induced by products of these operators on weighted Bergman spaces on D. The boundedness is established by using Carleson-type measures.     

On the generalization of the Euler polynomials with the real parameters

In this study, we give multiplication formula for generalized Euler polynomials of order α and obtain some explicit recursive formulas. The multiple alternating sums with positive real parameters a and b are evaluated in terms of both generalized Euler and generalized Bernoulli polynomials of order α. Finally we obtained some interesting special cases.
