Delay-dependent H∞ filtering for discrete-time singular Markovian jump systems with time-varying delay and partially unknown transition probabilities

This paper is concerned with the H_∞ filtering design for a class of discrete-time singular Markovian jump systems with time-varying delay and partially unknown transition probabilities. The class of systems under consideration is more general and covers the singular Markovian delay systems with completely known and completely unknown transition probabilities as two special cases. A mode-dependent filter is constructed and by defining an appropriate stochastic Lyapunov functional combined with using the discrete Jensen inequality, a delay-dependent bounded real lemma (BRL) for the considered systems is established in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Based on this, a sufficient condition on the existence of the desired filter which guarantees the admissibility and the H_∞ performance of the corresponding filtering error system is presented by employing the LMIs technique. Some numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the developed theoretical results.     

Elementary submodels in infinite combinatorics

The use of elementary submodels is a simple but powerful method to prove theorems, or to simplify proofs in infinite combinatorics. First we introduce all the necessary concepts of logic, then we prove classical theorems using elementary submodels. We also present a new proof of Nash-Williams’s theorem on cycle decomposition of graphs, and finally we improve a decomposition theorem of Laviolette concerning bond-faithful decompositions of graphs.

围绕IP多播技术在网络视频监控系统中的应用，深入讨论了系统中引入的IP多播技术所涉及到的一系列关键技术。根据网络视频监控系统原理图，使用UML语言构架出系统软件平台，给出实现基于IP多播技术的网络视频监控的一般算法，通过对WinSock套接字的实现，完成视频监控系统的网络通信软件的设计。     

Algorithms for reducing rollbacks in concurrency control by certification

In this paper, we present concurrency control schemes, based on the optimistic approach, which aim at reducing the rate of rollbacks, tolerating higher degrees of conflict among transactions, and allowing more concurrency at the update phase. Both the single site and fully duplicated database networks are considered. Performance results of the proposed approach are presented. The protocols offer a good tool to improve the throughput of optimistic concurrency control methods and to widen their scope of applicability.

介绍一种基于FPGA的DVB-T数字电视广播移动接收系统,主要阐述了DVB-T系统中TS码流的组成结构以及对其解复用的原理,提出了基于FPGA的TS码流解复用模块的具体实现方法.此FPGA还包括与高频头、MCU以及USB2.0芯片等模块的传输接口,由FPGA及其外围电路构成了一个完整的DVB-T移动接收系统.     

The average performance of a parallel stable marriage algorithm

In this paper, Tseng and Lee's parallel algorithm to solve the stable marriage prolem is analyzed. It is shown that the average number of parallel proposals of the algorithm is of ordern by usingn processors on a CREW PRAM, where each parallel proposal requiresO(loglog(n) time on CREW PRAM by applying the parallel selection algorithms of Valiant or Shiloach and Vishkin. Therefore, our parallel algorithm requiresO(nloglog(n)) time. The speed-up achieved is log(n)/loglog(n) since the average number of proposals required by applying McVitie and Wilson's algorithm to solve the stable marriage problem isO(nlog(n)).     

Domains of infinitesimal generators of automorphism flows

We present a systematic characterization of the domain of a generator of a one parameter group on certain C∗-subalgebras of via finite-dimensional estimates. Our approach yields an example of a densely defined closed symmetric derivation on a C∗-subalgebras of whose domain is not closed with respect to the C¹-functional calculus. This completes and complements the earlier example of McIntosh (J. Funct. Anal. 30 (1977) 264). Our methods are partly based on the theory of adjoint C₀-semigroups.     

Existence and data dependence of fixed points for multivalued operators on gauge spaces

The purpose of this note is to present some fixed point and data dependence theorems in complete gauge spaces and in hyperconvex metric spaces for the so-called Meir-Keeler multivalued operators and admissible multivalued aα-contractions. Our results extend and generalize several theorems of Espínola and Kirk [R. Espínola, W.A. Kirk, Set-valued contractions and fixed points, Nonlinear Anal. 54 (2003) 485-494] and Rus, Petru?el, and Sînt?m?rian [I.A. Rus, A. Petru?el, A. Sînt?m?rian, Data dependence of the fixed point set of some multivalued weakly Picard operators, Nonlinear Anal. 52 (2003) 1947-1959].     

Prox-regular functions in Hilbert spaces

This paper studies the prox-regularity concept for functions in the general context of Hilbert space. In particular, a subdifferential characterization is established as well as several other properties. It is also shown that the Moreau envelopes of such functions are continuously differentiable.     

Lim's theorems for multivalued mappings in CAT(0) spaces

Let X be a complete CAT(0) space. We prove that, if E is a nonempty bounded closed convex subset of X and a nonexpansive mapping satisfying the weakly inward condition, i.e., there exists p∈E such that ∀x∈E, ∀α∈[0,1], then T has a fixed point. In Banach spaces, this is a result of Lim [On asymptotic centers and fixed points of nonexpansive mappings, Canad. J. Math. 32 (1980) 421-430]. The related result for unbounded R-trees is given.
