A Wentzell–Freidlin type large deviation principle is established for the two-dimensional Navier–Stokes equations perturbed by a multiplicative noise in both bounded and unbounded domains. The large deviation principle is equivalent to the Laplace principle in our function space setting. Hence, the weak convergence approach is employed to obtain the Laplace principle for solutions of stochastic Navier–Stokes equations. The existence and uniqueness of a strong solution to (a) stochastic Navier–Stokes equations with a small multiplicative noise, and (b) Navier–Stokes equations with an additional Lipschitz continuous drift term are proved for unbounded domains which may be of independent interest. 相似文献

In this paper, we extend the classical compound binomial risk model to the case where the premium income process is based on a Poisson process, and is no longer a linear function. For this more realistic risk model, Lundberg type limiting results for the finite time ruin probabilities are derived. In this paper, we study a second order variational problem for locally convex hypersurfaces, which is the affine invariant analogue of the classical Plateau problem for minimal surfaces. For the standard class of normalized univalent functions analytic in the unit disk , we consider a problem on the minimal area of the image concentrated in any given half-plane. This question is related to a well-known problem posed by A. W. Goodman in 1949 that regards minimizing area covered by analytic univalent functions under certain geometric constraints. An interesting aspect of this problem is the unexpected behavior of the candidates for extremal functions constructed via geometric considerations.

A new modulus of elasticity is defined to be the ratio of an equibiaxial stress to the relative area change in the planes
in which the stress acts. This area modulus of elasticity is intermediate in properties between Young's modulus and the bulk
modulus. Expressions for the area modulus are computed in isotropic elasticity. A simple, convenient expression for the compliance
tensor of transverse isotropy is found in terms of, amongst others, the longitudinal (axial) area modulus and this leads to
