Based on an expansion of the Bethe-Salpeter equation in scattering orders a semi-analytic approach for simulation of coherent phenomena of multiple scattering in random media has been developed. We found that for scalar field the manifestation of these phenomena, observed as temporal field correlation function and coherent backscattering, are universal and well agreed with the results predicted by diffusion approximation. For the electromagnetic field the temporal correlation function and coherent backscattering are noticeably differ from those found for the scalar field, depending strongly on the scattering anisotropy. The obtained numerical results, for the first time to our knowledge, are compared directly with the known generalizations of the Milne solution.  相似文献

This study demonstrates a simple method for attenuating the speckle noise generated by coherent multiple-scattered photons in optical-coherence tomography images. The method could be included among the space-diversity techniques used for speckle reduction. It relies on displacing the sample along a weakly focused beam in the sample arm of the interferometer, acquiring a coherent image for each sample position and adding the individual images to form a compounded image. It is proven that the compounded image displays a reduction in the speckle noise generated by multiple scattered photons and an enhancement in the intensity signal caused by single-backscattered photons. To evaluate its potential biomedical applications, the method is used to investigate in vitro a caries lesion affecting the enamel layer of a wisdom tooth. Because of the uncorrelated nature of the speckle noise the compounded image provides a better mapping of the lesion compared to a single (coherent) image.  相似文献

We study a method generating certain distributions of the degree and state of polarization of a light field across a transverse beam cross-section. We use the introduced polarization encoding scheme to study the distribution of polarization ellipses in a cross-section of a beam generated by superposing two encoded beams, the effects of coherence relation between the input beams on this distribution were theoretically analyzed and illustrated by contour plots of the parameters representing polarization ellipses.  相似文献

It is demonstrated for a time-invariant linear optical system that there exists a definite connection between the optical vortices (phase singularities of the field amplitude) which appear when it is illuminated by spatially coherent light and the coherence vortices (phase singularities of the field correlation function) which appear when it is illuminated by partially coherent light. Optical vortices are shown to evolve into coherence vortices when the state of coherence of the field is decreased. Examples of the connection are given. Furthermore, the generic behavior of coherence vortices in linear optical systems is described.  相似文献

In this work we solve exactly a class of three-body propagators for the most general quadratic interactions in the coordinates, for arbitrary masses and couplings. This is done both for the constant as the time-dependent couplings and masses, by using the Feynman path integral formalism. The phase transformation of GaN under high pressure is theoretically studied in the KS-DFT framework using the EXX method. Both KLI and LDA pseudopotentials were tried. The LDA-PP result for the transition pressure is 41.7 GPa while that of the KLI-PP is 41.5 GPa. Both results are in a very good agreement with the latest experimental value of 42 GPa. The effect of the nonlinear core correction is found to be small but not negligible.  相似文献

The transition phase of GaN from zincblende (ZB) structure to rocksalt structure (RS) is investigated by ab initio plane-wave pseudopotential density functional theory method, and the thermodynamic properties of the ZB and RS structures are obtained through the quasi-harmonic Debye model. We find that the transition phase from the ZB structure to the RS structure occurs at the pressure of 42.2 GPa, which is in good agreement with other calculated values. Moreover, the dependences of the relative volume V/V0 on the pressure P, the Debye temperature Θ and heat capacity CV on the pressure P, as well as the heat capacity CV on the temperature T are also successfully obtained.  相似文献

We report on the generation and measurement of a > 108 contrast ratio between main pulse and amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) from a relativistic kHz chirped-pulse amplified laser. We have enhanced the ASE contrast ratio as much as > 400 times by employing a pulse cleaner composed of a μJ preamplifier and a saturable absorber. A third-order cross-correlator with a dynamic range of > 109 and a scanning range of up to 4 ns has been developed for the contrast measurement. Detailed analysis of the cross-correlation trace shows that the random noise of spectral phase generates 20-ps pedestal structure starting from 10−6 level of the main pulse.  相似文献

Mn doping effect on a wurtzite-to-cubic phase transformation in ZnO has been investigated by in situ high pressure X-ray powder diffraction using synchrotron radiation. Unit cell expansion is clearly observed in Mn-doped ZnO samples. Mn ions sit at Zn site in the wurtzite structure. The onset transition pressure for the wurtzite-to-cubic phase transformation decreases from about 9.5 GPa for pure ZnO to 6 GPa for sintered 2at.% Mn-doped ZnO while the compressibility and volume collapse at transition pressures are not sensitive to the Mn doping in the wurtzite phase. The doping of Mn ions in ZnO increases the onset transition pressure for the cubic-to-wurtzite phase transformation. The results could be explained by a reduction of phase transformation barriers for both transition paths by the Mn doping. The observation of reduction of the wurtzite-to-cubic phase transformation pressure might point out a new direction to synthesize cubic wurtzite phase of ZnO by doping transition element(s).  相似文献

The temperature dependences of internal friction and modulus were measured for the Fe-Mn-Si-Cr-xN alloys. A stable modulus softening of parent was newly observed to associate with the γ→ε martensitic transformation in the alloys containing certain amount (e.g. >0.086 mass%) of nitrogen, although the rather strong softening has been always recognized to occur during its reverse transformation. The enhanced strength and the increased stacking fault energy of γ matrix by nitrogen alloying are suggested to make contribution to the soft mode.  相似文献
