Group inverse and core inverse in Banach and C*-algebras

Abstract

In this paper, we have focused our study on the acute perturbation of the group inverse for the elements of Banach algebra with respect to the spectral radius. We also give perturbation analysis for the core inverse in C*- algebra. The perturbation bounds for the core inverse under some conditions are presented. Additionally, this paper extends the results obtained in [11, 14].     

The synthesis and characterization of new metal-free and metallo phthalocyanines substituted with four dithiatetraoxa macrocyclic moieties

New metal-free phthalocyanine (7) fused symmetrically in peripheral positions with four dithiatetraoxa macrocycles, has been synthesized by cyclotetramerization of the isoindolinediimine derivative of macrocyclic 6. Metallophthalocyanine (8) was synthesized by reaction of phthalonitrile derivative (5) with anhydrous nickel(II) chloride. The new compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, ¹H and ¹³C-NMR, IR UV–Vis and mass spectroscopies.     

Cross section of the impact single ionization of B2＋ by H＋

The ionization process of B2+ by H+ impact is studied using the continuum-distorted-wave eikonal-initial-state (CDW-EIS) method and the modified free electron peak approximation (M-FEPA), respectively. Total, single-, and double- differential cross sections from 1s and 2s orbitals are presented for the energy range from 10 keV/u to 10 MeV/u. Comparison between the results from the two methods demonstrates that the total and single-differential cross sections for the high-energy incident projectile case can be well evaluated using the simple M-FEPA model. Moreover, the M-FEPA model reproduces the essential features of the binary-encounter (BE) bump in the double-differential cross sections. Thus, the BE ionization mechanism is discussed in detail by adopting the M-FEPA model. In particular, the double- and single-differential cross sections from the 2s orbital show a high-energy hip, which is different from those from the 1s orbital. Based on Ref. [1], the Compton profiles of B2+ for 1s and 2s orbitals are given, and the hips in DDCS and SDCS from the 2s orbital are explained.     

Controllable microfluidic strategies for fabricating microparticles using emulsions as templates

Microfluidic techniques provide flexible strategies for fabrication of uniform advanced microparticles with well-tailored sizes, shapes, structures, and functions from controllable emulsion templates. This review highlights recent progress on controllable synthesis of microparticles using versatile microfluidic emulsions as templates. First, highly controllable and scalable microfluidic techniques for the generation of defined emulsions are introduced. Versatile microfluidic strategies for fabricating microparticles from diverse controllable emulsion templates are then summarized, including solid microparticles with spherical, non-spherical, and Janus configurations, porous microparticles with flexible pore structures, and compartmental microparticles with controlled internals. Finally, the future development of microfluidic techniques for microparticle fabrication is briefly discussed.     

Public trust in a mobile device and service policy in South Korea: The Mobile Device Distribution Improvement Act

South Korea has the highest expenditure on telecommunications among OECD countries, drawing national attention to the issue of reducing high prices. In response, the Korean government enacted the Mobile Device Distribution Improvement (MDDI) Act to eliminate information asymmetry by limiting mobile carriers’ mobile handset subsidies to consumers. This study examined factors affecting public trust in the MDDI based by analyzing responses to a questionnaire survey using the ordered probit model. The results show that the knowledge, expectations, and perceived effects of the MDDI have a meaningful effect on public trust in the policy. The results of this study confirm that it is essential for governments to promote their policies by continuously educating the public, especially in this case because the policy has a direct effect on telecommunications expenditures.

联合Kalman和自适应Meanshift的稳健相关视频跟踪方法

相关视频跟踪器存在计算量大、模板漂移、对机动目标,杂波影响大以及遮挡情况无法跟踪的问题,而Kalman滤波能通过利用相关跟踪器的输出结果来预测目标在下一帧里在图像中的坐标,可以在高概率的小范围内对目标进行搜索,以大幅减小计算量和杂波的影响.然后,当跟踪器由于受到杂波或遮挡的影响而提供了错误的测量信息时,跟踪的性能将大幅下降.大量研究表明,Mean-Shift跟踪器具有运算速度快和跟踪性能好的特点,而当目标柱状图和待选图像区域相近时,其跟踪性能也将大幅下降,甚至无法进行跟踪.为了解决该问题,结合上述3种思想提出了一种改进的、稳健的视频目标跟踪方法,并通过理论分析和仿真结果表明了算法的有效性和优越性.     

Beyond Cognitive Framing Processes: Anger Mediates the Effects of Responsibility Framing on the Preference for Punitive Measures

A new stream of research indicates that framing effects are based on emotional as well as cognitive processes. However, it is not entirely clear whether emotions mediate framing effects and what the moderators of emotional mediation processes are. To address these questions, we conducted an experiment in which the framing of responsibility for a social problem was manipulated (ambivalent vs. high‐responsibility frame). We find that the high‐responsibility frame increased the preference for punitive measures by increasing responsibility beliefs and eliciting anger. Furthermore, we find that trait anger moderates the framing effect on anger and that responsibility beliefs are positively associated with anger intensity. The significance of these findings for framing research and suggestions for future studies are discussed.
