Speeds of sound and densities of three ternary liquid systems namely, toluene + n-heptane + n-hexane (I), cyclohexane + n-heptane + n-hexane (II) and n-hexane + n-heptane + n-decane (III) have been measured as a function of the composition at 298.15 K at atmospheric pressure. The experimental isothermal compressibility has been evaluated from measured values of speeds of sound and density. The isothermal compressibility of these mixtures has also been computed theoretically using different models for hard sphere equations of state and Flory’s statistical theory. Computed values of isothermal compressibility have been compared with experimental findings. A satisfactory agreement has been observed. The superiority of Flory’s statistical theory has been established quite reasonably over hard sphere models.   相似文献

Ferritic/martensitic (F/M) steels are good candidate structural materials for the future fusion reactors and spallation sources. However, irradiation of steels is known to produce hardening, loss of ductility, shift in ductile to brittle transition temperature (DBTT) and reduction of fracture toughness and creep resistance starting at low doses. Helium (He), produced by transmutation during the irradiation, also impacts mechanical properties. Numerous experimental and theoretical studies on the evolution of the microstructure of steels under irradiation have been conducted until now. We review the effect of irradiation-induced point defects and in particular of He on the mechanical properties of F/M steels. To cite this article: R. Schäublin et al., C. R. In the present work, four-layer polymeric waveguides have been fabricated and characterized by interchanging the film layer. Using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and styrene acrylonitrile (SAN) polymer it has been shown that polymers do not loose their own property in multilayer structure and better efficiency can be achieved in the form of low propagation losses and mode filtration. Due to high contrast of PVA and SAN films, a broad spectrum of refractive index in four-layer structure has been achieved.  相似文献

The transmission and reflection spectra from a right-handed chiral sculptured zirconia thin film are calculated using the piecewise homogeneity approximation method and the Bruggeman homogenization formalism using both dispersive and non-dispersive functions for axial and non-axial states. The comparison of spectral results shows that the dispersion of the dielectric function has a considerable effect on the results. In axial excitation of cross-polarized reflectances and co-polarized transmittances the dispersion effect becomes more pronounced at wavelengths further away from the homogenization wavelength. This is also true in the case of non-axial excitation of circular transmittances, while there are considerable differences for cross-polarized reflectances where (wavelength) the first Bragg peak occurs. At wavelengths in the vicinity of the homogenization wavelength the dispersion effect of the dielectric function in RRR becomes more significant.  相似文献

The singular manifold method is used to obtain two general solutions to a (2 1)-dimensional breaking soliton equation, each of which contains two arbitrary functions. Then the new periodic wave solutions in terms of the Jacobi elliptic functions are generated from the general solutions. An investigation of thermal effects in a high-power Nd:YAG disk-type solid state laser pumped with different pump beam transverse profiles is carried out by numerical simulation based on the finite element method (FEM). Impact of the heat sink on the thermal effects is included in the simulation. The distribution of first principle stress, thermally induced birefringence, including the distribution and variation of the birefringence loss, are studied. The characteristics of the phase variation are analyzed with consideration of the temperature gradient, deformation, strain and thermal stress. Thermal lensing is explored as a function of pump power and of the radius pumped with different pump beam transverse profiles. The non-parabolic part of optical phase distortion is simulated. Furthermore, the characteristics of the bi-focus of the disk laser are also studied. Experiments on the maximum tensile stress distribution and depolarization loss are carried out. The presented calculations are in qualitative agreement with the experimental observations.  相似文献

采用sol-gel法制备了Y3+掺杂Ba0.90Sr0.08Ca0.02TiO3(BSCT)纳米粉体及细晶陶瓷。通过TG-DTG、XRD、SEM和TEM对样品结构及形貌进行了表征,并测试了陶瓷的介电性能。研究表明,Y3+掺杂BSCT纳米粉体主要为立方相BaTiO3,烧结后陶瓷晶粒尺寸在0.68~2.24μm可控,Y3+掺杂可以抑制陶瓷晶粒的生长,使陶瓷的tC向低温方向移动。随Y3+掺杂量的增大,陶瓷的介电温谱εr-t趋于平缓,当x(Y3+)为7.0%时,陶瓷的室温εr大幅度提高到9 176。  相似文献

为提高透射电镜生物样品超薄切片的染色效率,在传统染色方法基础上进行改良,使用自制染色装置,在较短时间内完成大批生物样品超薄切片的电子染色。与传统方法相比较省时省药,减少污染机率,电镜观察的超微结构清晰,反差较好。  相似文献
