Ca(NO3)2•4H2O-catalysed Biginelli Reaction: One-pot Synthesis of 1,2,3,4-Tetrahydropyrimidin-2-ones/pyrimidine-2-thiones under Solvent-free Conditions

The synthesis of 1,2,3,4-dihydropyrimidinone/thione derivatives was achieved in good to excellent yields using calcium(II) nitrate as catalyst to promote the Biginelli three-component condensation reaction from a diversity of aromatic aldehydes, β-keto compounds and urea or thiourea. The reaction was carried out under solvent-free conditions.     

Modification of multiwalled carbon nanotubes by carboxy groups and determination of the degree of functionalization

Multiwalled carbon nanotubes were modified by carboxy groups. Four independent methods for the determination of the degree of functionalization of the surface were proposed: ¹³C NMR spectroscopy, thermogravimetry, titrimetry, and fluorimetry. The first two methods show the total content of carboxy groups in the sample, and the latter two methods give information about the content of the surface groups only. 5-(对羧基苯偶氮)-8-羟基喹啉与钍的显色反应及应用

研究了钍与5-(对羧基苯偶氮)-8-羟基喹啉(5-CPAHQ)的显色反应条件:在阳离子表面活性剂十六烷基三甲基溴化铵(CTMAB)存在下,pH4.4-5.4缓冲介质中,形成稳定的橙红色络合物,最大吸收波长为490nm,ε=1.10×105L·mol-1·cm-1,钍在0-9μg/25mL范围内符合比尔定律。用TBP萃淋树脂分离,该方法可用于测定矿石中的微量钍。

Phase relations in the system ln-CulnS2

By DTA and x-ray diffraction the phase relations in the pseudobinary system In-CuInS₂ have been investigated. CuInS₂ hs a melting point of 1090° C and within this system there is a broad region of liquid immiscibility. A four phase invariant reaction exists at 633° C which is of the form: L₂ = L₁+ CuInS₂ + InS.     

Application of coupling methods to the Neumann eigenvalue problem

Summary By using coupling methods, some lower bounds are obtained for the first Neumann eigenvalue on Riemannian manifolds. This method is new and the results improve some known estimates.
