para-Selective Arylation of Arenes: A Direct Route to Biaryls by Norbornene Relay Palladation

Biaryl compounds are extremely important structural motifs in natural products, biologically active components and pharmaceuticals. Selective synthesis of biaryls by distinguishing the subtle reactivity difference of distal arene C−H bonds are significantly challenging. Herein, we describe para-selective C−H arylation, which is acheived by a unique combination of a meta-directing group and norbornene as a transient mediator. Upon direct meta-C−H palladation, one-bond relay palladation occurs in presence of norbornene and subsequently para-C−H arylation is achieved for sulfonates, phosphonates and phenols bearing 2,6-disubstitution patterns. The protocol is amenable to electron-deficient aryl iodides. Multisubstituted arenes and phenols are obtained by postsynthetic modification of the products. The protocol allows the synthesis of hexa-substituted benzene by sequential selective distal C−H functionalization.

Gold and Carbene Relay Catalytic Enantioselective Cycloisomerization/Cyclization Reactions of Ynamides and Enals

The combined use of gold as transition metal catalyst and N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) as organic catalyst in the same solution for relay catalytic reactions was disclosed. The ynamide substrate was activated by gold catalyst to form unsaturated ketimine intermediate that subsequently reacted with the enals (via azolium enolate intermediate generated with NHC) effectively to form bicyclic lactam products with excellent diastereo‐ and enantio‐selectivities. The gold and NHC coordination and dissociation can be dynamic and tunable events, and thus allow the co‐existence of both active metal and carbene organic catalysts in appreciable concentrations, for the dual catalytic reaction to proceed.     

Cooperation within the Small Cell: The indoor,correlated shadowing case

The deployment of Small Cells in fourth generation (4G) communication systems is aimed at providing significant capacity improvements and higher availabilities. However, the design of Small Cell systems in indoor environments is especially challenging due to high shadowing attenuation induced by clutter and human blockage. This paper studies node cooperation and multiple relaying and proposes novel analytical formulas for the outage probability of cooperative Small Cells suffering from shadowing. The channel fading gains are modeled as correlated lognormal random variables, in order to reflect the properties of indoor propagation environments. Various cooperative strategies are considered, taking into account the use of one or two relays and different receiver combining techniques. In addition, the relative performance of each cooperative configuration and the benefit of cooperation over non-cooperation are investigated. Finally, interesting and useful insights are produced regarding the impact of the correlated lognormal environment parameters on the configuration of cooperative Small Cells.     

RELAY ASSISTED TRANSMISSSION WITH BIT-INTERLEAVED CODED MODULATION

We investigate an adaptive cooperative protocol in a Two-Hop-Relay （THR） wireless system that combines the following： （1） adaptive relaying based on repetition coding; （2） single or two transmit antennas and one receive antenna configurations for all nodes, each using high order constellation; （3） Bit-Interleaved Coded Modulation （BICM）. We focus on a simple decoded relaying （i.e. no error correcting at a relay node） and simple signal quality thresholds for relaying. Then the impact of the two simple thresholds on the system performance is studied. Our results suggest that compared with the traditional scheme for direct transmission, the proposed scheme can increase average throughput in high spectral efficiency region with low implementation-cost at the relay.     

“天光一号”平滑化角多路系统的建立

 采用诱导空间非相干（FEISI）的平滑方法结合传递傅里叶面的技术，建立了一套平滑化六束角多路系统。该系统输出总能量158 J，能量稳定度约4％，输出脉冲宽度25 ns，靶面有效焦斑直径400 μm，焦斑均匀性1.6％，激光功率密度3.7×10¹² W/cm²。     

同核RELAY相干传递技术在复杂天然有机化合物1H谱解析中的应用

用同核化学位移相关谱和同核RELAY谱等二维NMR方法完全归属了复杂天然有机化合物人参皂甙Rb₁的¹H NMR谱线,并用积算符方法证实一级和二级RELAY实验中观察到的意外交叉峰是通过远程偶合传递的RELAY信号。
