In the Home Care Crew Scheduling Problem a staff of home carers has to be assigned a number of visits to patients’ homes, such that the overall service level is maximised. The problem is a generalisation of the vehicle routing problem with time windows. Required travel time between visits and time windows of the visits must be respected. This work focuses on the mechanisms of non-aqueous phase liquid (NAPL) drop formation within a single fracture fed from a NAPL reservoir by way of a circular orifice, such as a pore. The fracture is assumed to be fully saturated, the relative wettability of the system is assumed water-wet, and the water velocity profile within the fracture is described by a Poiseuille flow. The size of the NAPL drops is investigated for various water flow velocities and NAPL entrance diameters. A force balancing method was used to determine the radii of detached drops. The drop sizes calculated from the model developed here are shown to be in agreement with available experimental drop size data. It is shown that at low Reynolds numbers the buoyancy force is the dominant force acting on the drop during the formation process and at high Reynolds numbers the viscous forces dominate. A simplified expression relating the geometry of the fractured system to the drop radii is developed from the model equations, and it is shown to predict drop radii that match well with both the model simulations and the available experimental data. 相似文献

An analytical method for the determination of taxol (paclitaxel) via cathodic stripping square wave voltammetry has been developed. The method allows to achieve a detection limit of 5.2 ng ml−1 and a determination limit of 11.0 ng ml−1 working with a mercury drop electrode in 0.05 M boric acid/borate buffer pH 9.0, previously accumulated at −0.1 V (v.s. Ag/AgCl/KCl 3 M) for 360 s. Moreover, information about the mechanisms governing the reduction of taxol has been obtained from the studies of the instrumental parameters of square wave voltammetry technique. After addition of an internal standard, taxol was extracted from spiked human urine and the proposed method was successfully applied to the quantification of the analyte. 相似文献

The removal of Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH’s) and soot particles from flue gas was studied using a gliding arc discharge reactor, and the flue gas was emitted from the polyethylene (PE) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) combustion in a laboratory-scale drop tube furnace. The removal efficiencies have ranged from 70.3% up to 74.4%. The maximum removal efficiency of soot particles was up to 89.3%. Experimental results show that the technique can successfully remove PAH’s and soot particles from flue gas, a possible mechanism is proposed to explain the experimental observations. 相似文献

为满足实际生产环境对工件加工顺序和工件到达时间的要求,提出了具有新特征的单机总加权拖期调度问题,其特点体现在:工件有动态到达时间,且由工件优先级关系构成的优先级图为非连接图且存在环的情况,对该问题建立数学规划模型,在扩展Tang和Xuan等的基础上,提出了结合双向动态规划的拉格朗日松弛算法求解该问题。在该算法的设计中,提出双向动态规划算法求解拉格朗日松弛问题,使得它可处理优先级图中一个工件可能有多个紧前或紧后工件的情况,采用次梯度算法更新拉格朗日乘子,基于拉格朗日松弛问题的解设计启发式算法构造可行解。实验测试结果显示,所设计的拉格朗日松弛算法能够在较短的运行时间内得到令人满意的近优解,为更复杂的调度问题的求解提供了思路。 相似文献

The bouncing motion of aqueous drops between two oppositely charged electrodes has been observed. However, the forward and backward velocities of the drops are nonuniform in some cases because of unknown reasons. In this study, the velocity difference was mainly caused by the distribution of ions that altered the electric field strength between the electrodes. This result yielded accurate control of the drops in the electric field and opened opportunities for industrial applications. 相似文献

Focusing on real settings, this study aimed to develop an evolutionary approach based on genetic algorithm for solving the problem of rehabilitation patient scheduling to increase service quality by reducing patient waiting time and improve operation efficiency by increasing the therapy equipment utilization. Indeed, due to partial precedence constraints of rehabilitation therapies, the problem can be structured as a hybrid shop scheduling problem that has received little attention to date. In addition, a mixed integer programming model was also constructed as a benchmark to validate the solution quality with small problems. Based on empirical data from a Medical Center in Taiwan, several experiments were conducted to estimate the validity of the proposed algorithm. The results showed that the proposed algorithm can reduce patient waiting time and enhance resource utilization and thus demonstrated the practicality of the proposed algorithm.
